Went back to AMA after a long layoff. We were missing ex chefs Pats specials, so we ventured back. The bread was great as ever. BUT, the artichoke salad didnt taste fresh, nor was it very tasty. Chef Pats signature dish of mussels came out ok, but he mussels were miniscule. A special of tuna came out so salty it was uneatable. When it was sent back, the bartender instead of the manager came over to tell us the chef wasnt making another one- he said he liked it and there was nothing wrong with it- He (the bartender) threw the check down on the table. Needless to say, we were charged for the uneaten tuna- I guess the restaurant needed the money. Anyway, our waiter came over humiliated and so apologetic. He knew we were right, but hey, he has to make a living. All I can say, is AVOID AMA at ALL COSTS and go anywhere else- Their attitude and mediocre food doesnt deserve our business. This once fantastic restaurant has totally gone downhill to the bottom of the list!

I have eaten at Ama a number of times and always found it to be outstanding. This weekend we had a private party at Ama and I could not have been happier. As always, the servers were incredibly attentive. Guests had full glasses, the meal was very well paced, and the children were catered to with all their favorites. The food was of the same amazing quality as it is every night. There is definitely a reason why Chef Lesbirel is considered to be one of the best chefs in NJ, if not the best!

Ordered articke salad,tasted like coleslaw for 15.00 terrible,then had broc rone orrechiate sausage but no sausge them i said whetes the sausge an they nought out a litlle plate wit chopped sauge with no taste an chged 2.00 extra whem it was suppose to be in to begin with. Bread was burnt. It was terrible.

Ama Ristorante is truly the gem of sea bright. It brings creative and new delights to its menu. I went there to see what the food was like. I had the beet tartare, the shaved artichoke salad and the sea trout. As for desert I had the brown butter semifredo. Everything tasted fresh,

The food and service were OK, but what ruined the evening for us was when the owner came over to tell us we had to leave because the next party was waiting for the table. It could have been done a different way so as not to make us feel uncomfortable. We will not be going back.

Will not disappoint. One of the best Oceanfront restaurants on the Jersey Shore . Great service, food, wine list, cocktail menu. Seasonally attentive to ingredients. Many dishes for the vegetarian in your party. Stunning ocean and sunset views. Great bar!
