After a long exhausting day of doctors appointments shopping with my elderly mom, we were on our way to VillagioIccara, (our favorite local spot) for a late lunch. We passed Centro Grill, and noticed some people dining outside. It was about 2:30 and a nice day. Since I am looking for a local place to hold a dinner reunion next month; and Centro popped up in my recent google search for venues, we decided to go there instead, to try the food. I went inside to let someone know we wanted to sit outside. Except for one table, the dining room was empty. I went over to the bar, and said we wanted to sit outside. The bartender said he would send someone over. A young man came and seated us outside with menus and service/napkins. and said someone would be there shortly to take our orders. A young female server came, introduced herself, and gave us water. She seemed quite friendly. We said we were going to order a few things to share and bring a lot home. We ordered calamari & spinach dip appetizers, crab salad and spinach ravioli lunch. I asked if they had bread because I didn’t like corn chips with the dip. She said they were getting bread ready to bring out. A little later she brought the calamari. I tried one and it needed salt. Of course, there was none on the table. I waited for someone to come by and asked for salt. A little later, someone brought out the dip…. NO BREAD and NO SALT. I reminded them about both. By the time they came back (with the ravioli and salad) the calamari and the dip were cold! There was nothing to use to serve the ravioli or salad; we had only been given 1 fork and 1 knife each wrapped in our napkins. AND STILL NO SALT AND NO BREAD!!! It was not easy to serve salad with only a dinner fork and knife!). The salt finally came, but I had to make another trip inside to ask AGAIN for the bread. I believe we had three different servers. Remember, there were only FOUR outdoor tables, and ONE inside table occupied. While I was trying to balance pieces of salad using a fork and knife, the waitress came out and asked if everything was ok. I said NO and iterated my complaints. She made some excuse that she was really the bartender and was only trying to help by waiting tables. I asked her to bring take-out containers then the check. I was so disappointed with this lunch. The food wasnt bad, but I will never go back. The service was awful, the bill was over $50 and I had attitude from the wait staff. When I dine in any restaurant that is open for business, I expect adequate service and attention during the meal, not excuses – especially for a more costly establishment!

Weve always had horribly slow service at this restaurant but kept coming back at least once or twice a month because its only a few mins from home and the food is always AMAZING (this is one of the few places where I can get an authentic pasta dish and hubby can get a burger and fries and we both have perfect meals!). Our most recent time though will be our last. After waiting quite a while for a server (again, this is standard), she finally arrived to take our drink orders. I had an incredibly watered down "sangria" and hubby an IPA and after another long wait we placed the order. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip and our standard entrees. When the spinach and artichoke dip came out, the busboy ended up spilling a good number on the ground, understandable because of the shape of the plate. We ate all the chips and with only a quarter of the dip gone, would usually expect more to be brought out. When we finally saw our server we requested more chips and a few mins later a flustered busboy came out demanding to know if we were paying for them. Seeing our confused expressions, he returned to the kitchen and came back a moment later, saying he was mistaken and handing us the chips. When we got the bill we saw a $2 up charge and when we questioned it we were told that chips are always a $5 up charge (bare in mind this is a HANDFUL OF TWENTY CHIPS from a bag of Tostitos) but they were discounting it to $2 because of some "confusion" with the busboy. When I questioned this the waitress ran off saying shed get a manager....and after waiting a reasonable time we just paid in cash and left. This was not a cheap meal. When you pay good money you expect good service, and this restaurant does not deliver on that. We will not be back.

I have never been more annoyed at a restaurant. We eat here fairly often, once every couple of months I would say. The food is great, reasonably priced and the service is spectacular. We made reservations for NYE dinner and were really looking forward to it. Low and behold we were not informed that there would be a fixed menu and their prices would be increased by quite a significant value. I asked if we could order from the regular menu and was informed this is all they are doing tonight. Fine, so be it, we both order their stuff chicken dish with fingerling potatoes and roasted vegetables. Food comes out, about 4 pieces of chicken, 3 potatoes the size of my pinky and their roasted vegetables were a slice or zucchini and a piece of carrot about 2 inches long. Service was sub par and Im taking into consideration that it was busy. This isnt the lower east side, where this would be totally expected, this is the middle of Robbinsville NJ. Needless to say, we wont be back anytime soon.

I was pretty eager to try this place as it looked beautiful on the outside. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. The quality of food was definitely not as good as I thought it was going to be given its location and menu. Most of the food tasted like the ingredients were low-quality. I think what really turned me off was the fact my boyfriends Penne Vodka tasted like someone dropped a used cigarette in it. All three of us at the table tried it and thought the exact same thing. Incredibly strange. Either someone dropped a bottle of liquid smoke in it or the herbs were bad. We arent ones to have food taken back and though we enjoyed our time together as a group, we mostly likely will not be going back to this place. Very unfortunate. I give this place two stars because the service was nice and the appetizers were passable.

recently I went here for the first time and I very much enjoyed it. the waitstaff was very attentive and very nice and our bread was amazing. our pomegranate salads was probably the best salad Ive ever had in my life. My girlfriend got a hamburger which wasnt good in the slightest. However, my chicken parm, which I got over spinach, was very good and the prices were not terrible, even though they werent amazing either. overall I thoroughly enjoyed centro and would like to come back soon.

Ive been trying for years to have a good meal here. Im done trying. Cant even cook a burger. Asked for medium well and was delivered raw. Sent it back. Came back out raw. Sent it back. 3rd time comes out correct but same burger.. Well I cant trust any chef that takes the same meal three times and doesnt recook from scratch. Who knows what they did since they were upset I complained. Im done.. Beware..
