Im not one to write reviews. (or read them with any actual consideration for that matter.) I form my opinion based on me and not what others think. That said, I feel that East Coast Burger may be just the place to start. I have been to ECBC many many times. I started last year when it first opened its doors. It was somewhat of a rocky start, which only makes sense. No machine ever starts well oiled, but the passion and food where (and are) top notch and so I returned and returned and returned... My children LOVE the burgers. I LOVE the salads. The ice cream is original and smooth and beyond yummy. The food is cooked to order. Fresh (not frozen) and always delivered with a smile and thank you. Upon reading the other reviews I want to add that the variety at the "Burger joint" is a welcomed item to our family. When my two kids want a burger, and my husband wants a salad and I want chicken and my other three kids want something else, we can ALL still go to one place. It is the reason Chinese Restaurants serve chicken strips. Its the reason Target now sells auto accessories. One Stop Shopping! When looking at what the old Dodge dealership has become, I think it looks hip. The music is GREAT and I am not of a sad bored era. The decor is simple and not obnoxious or distracting from my wanting to spend time with my family. And every single time I go, which is very very often, I run into people I know. In a town that is truly focusing on becoming a "destination place" for the wealthy to come and dine, spend their money and leave, ECBC is a most welcome family, relaxed, kid friendly, fun staple. P.s. - The food is GREAT!

East Coast Burger is a GEM not to be missed. Their poultry is from Goffle Farms (cant get more local or fresh than that!), and their beef comes from Pat LaFrieda (also local, fresh!). Hence why their burgers are simply phenomenal. Fresh, so flavorful, awesomely customizable, incredibly reasonably priced, and cooked perfectly. Its also a spotless joint with an open kitchen and a fun atmosphere. You have your choice of sitting at a counter, inside the restaurant, or on the outdoor patio overlooking Franklin Ave. If you want beer or wine instead of a milkshake, its BYOB. Everyone is friendly. The icing on the ... cone? Their homemade ice cream is completely outrageous and would easily give any other local spot a run for its money.

My 11-year-old daughter and I went Friday night and we both thought the hamburgers were terrific - not too big, not too small, just the right size. They were hand-shaped - in our lingo "homemade" and tasted like a real grilled hamburger youd enjoy at a really nice barbeque. Very good meat, not greasy at all. We sat at the counter and enjoyed the milk shake samples passed to us by a friendly employee. In fact, all the staff was great to us. We are going back tonight.

My experience with east coast burger was very lacking. Not only did it try to think its something like Five Guys, but it made an attempt to be something fancy. The prices are high and they sell seafood. Who sells seafood at a burger place. And why would I ever pay for seafood at a burger place that is expenseive. I go to a burger place to have burgers not seafood and a milkshake. WHAT? Disappointing even though the service was mediocore at best. HOPE THIS HELPED

I visited ECB for the first time last week. I was greeted as though I was an old friend and treated like I was a guest in someones home. One of the staff came over with ketchup cups when he saw me about to squeeze some ketchup onto my tray liner. The food was great, the place was clean and inviting, and the restaurant was well staffed. Pricing was also reasonable. What more can you ask?

The burger-meat is quite delicious to me. The foods quality has been consistent. The staff are unintrusive, which for an eatery casual like this one, is ideal. The service is fast. Chicken whether grilled or crispy is beyond par, but the burgers are truly where it is located ("Where itz at"). I eat here approximately monthly. I recommend.

Ate here for the first time this past weekend. Burgers and fries couldnt be better. Lobster roll was awesome. It is nice to see an incredibly clean, well staffed, burger place that has chosen to think outside the box and not limit themselves to just serving burgers. The ice cream was good also.

Great food. Pricey, but really enjoyable vibe. 80s music plays in the background while you enjoy a good burger. Salads are also fantastic. But $2.50 for a soda is a little too steep for me. I recommend getting one soda and sharing it since its fountain and free refills.

Burgers are good but they try and give you fancy lettuce and tomato instead of just regular burger joint stuff. Kinda hard to get over this place used to be the Dodge dealership. Parking lot is really small. I will give it another go but it really wasnt spectacular.

Fantastic burger. Exactly what I was looking for when I was searching for a solid burger. I love 5 Guys and am always hesitant to try a new place for fear of being disappointed when I could have just gone to 5 Guys. This is right up there with it.

Burgers are WAY over priced for the portion I got and it didnt even include ff, which u had to order separately and also small portioned for the price. Ive had bigger and better burgers for way cheaper. would not come again.

Love the Green Chile Cheeseburger. Absolutely tasty. Everyone who Ive brought here has found something they love. The atmosphere is spartan, but the staff and owners are very friendly and bring a nice neighborhood feel.

A cool new burger and ice cream joint in the heart of Ridgewood. Gives you the feeling of a 50s diner, but with a more streamlined menu. They also offer chicken sandwiches and lobster rolls.

They truly have the best burgers in Ridgewood! They also serve lobster rolls and Giffords ice cream. Choose the sweet potato fries to go with your burger. Always a good idea.

Good burgers, lobster roll, fried clams, etc. Green chili topping is good on top of anything u can put it on... Fries, the burger, a hot dog. Im due for a return trip.

Good and quick service. The staff was pretty nice for serving us meanwhile they were closing very soon. The food is good and is prepared quickly.
