My journey to this restaurant began once I my family and I concluded that we were all hungry, and could not endure the pains of starving this particular night due to the bet we lost at the hands of the recent election. Every now and then, usually every week or so, we manage to scrap up enough money to avoid eating dumpster food. But God, you see, had a different faith in mind for us in that day. He created 106 Google Users to collectively rate this place 4.3 stars. I should have known...I should have known to check the reviews instead of the rating. But I didnt. Dear God I didnt. And so, God punished me for my recklessness by serving me a handsome looking meal which somehow managed to taste like sodexo prison food, whichks equivalent to dumpster food. "how do you know what sodexo dumpster food tastes like?" you may ask. "Do ya really wanna know punk?" I snap back at you in my tank shop shirt and veil of skull TRUMP2016 and "9/11 was an inside job" tattoos. But seriously, the food here tastes like sodexo college/prison food. It contributed to my stress so much that I had to cope with the money and time my family wasted by writing my first Google review, which Ive spent at least 7 minutes on so far. I hope this will steer anyone who appreciates non-stale food away, preferably to underrated gems such as Turf n Surf burger n grill in Warren NJ. Best burger Ive ever had. Get the Buffalo Chipotle bacon Blue burger with extra spicy Pico for a more sexual experience. Ill advise you to eat it in private or with your long time romantic partner so you fully experience the journey you undertake as you eat that specific burger from that specific restaurant. Look it up bro. Yeah. Im hip. Im cool. I went to school Ive swum in a pool. The food here leaves you with an unhealthy stool. Uh. Yeah sucka

Been driving by this place for ages... Looked good, never went. Today, I was stumped for something to eat and remembered here. The place is trapped in another era...which is cool and nice to see! The staff are friendly, the menu is large... And it was a little overwhelming! The burgers are old school variety... Nothing fancy, just the way they were back in the fifties. The onion rings were outstanding...and a huge portion. I will return and try the steak sandwich next time.. Oh, or maybe the bison burger.. Or breakfast (you get my drift).

Best breakfast in the area! Fresh squeezed OJ and the fluffy coconut pancakes are to die for. Order at the counter and grab a table while you wait for your buzzer to go off. Why wait upwards of an hour for a table at other local breakfast joints when you have the Fireplace as an option. They also have good fast food style dinners, all set in a 50s throwback restaurant that you would see on the food network. Im not a burger person, but my husband loves their hamburgers with homemade pickles and cheese fries. Great for families.

A throwback of a restaurant. We drive by every weekend on our way upstate from NYC and just assumed it was a diner. Turns out its a place where you order at the counter, seat yourself in the dining room. It feels stuck in another decade [or 3 ago] but ini a wonderful way. Everything was clean. Was a great place to grab a Philly cheesesteak on our way to the Catskills. Recommend this over any of the fast food drivethrus. Manager was super pleasant as well. Hope this place sticks around!

Great place. Kinda hard to figure out the layout but its a 2 tier buffet place. Well morning is more buffet and dinner is counter service. Fireplace is really warrrm *hearteyes*. Gooood food. Kale burger was DELIC. Fries are supper good. Staff is nice and frriendly. Mom loved the milkshakes. Music IS AMAZING. Really clean for a buffet style place. Kinda dark, but gives a very 70-80s feel and its really just alll americano and really nice. Love this place.

Have to give it 5 stars because every person living in NJ probably stopped at the fireplace on the way to the mall. Burgers and hot dogs but it is the atmosphere inside. Like going to camp. Those cheap camp hamburgers but good. The menu has grown over the years. If you never stopped in you should try it. Nothing great but a place thats been around for a million years.

Awful service. I called ahead for a pizza. Thirty minutes they said. I come in and they say, "five more minutes". Five minutes later they say ten more minutes. Ten minutes later they say twenty more minutes. By this time I figured out the guy was messing with me. I wasnt going to get my pizza.

This place is amazing. Id highly recommend putting the pickles on your burger, if youre not used to doing that, because they have really solid pickles here. Ive never tried their ice cream or pizza, but their burgers and fries are spot on. If youve never been here before, give it a shot!

This is a must visit if you are in Northern Jersey. Great dogs, great burgers, and the roast beef sandwich is amazing. I grew up going to this place and visit it every time I head home. You will not be disappointed. Good shakes and fries, too. Check it out!

The burgers are 2 out of 5 stars. It was edible. The frozen heated up fries was pretty gross, they had no salt and was dry :( the workers seemed extremely stuck up and conceded about this place. Made me want to NOT give them buisness. Be humble, My friends.

The fireplace looks the same as its looked for the last twenty or thirty years and its always a neat experience to go there. Our kids really think its cool too. Its not the best food in the world but its good comfort food and always brings back memories.

The best burger since the 1960s. At one point they were using small flat burgers and I was very disappointed. Went in May 2017 and it was tasted like the burgers of my childhood.. GO BACK and relive your history or stop by and start some new ones.

Good comfort food, the burgers are good, the breakfast is good too. Has an old school feel to it(it has been in the area for decades). Like that they have the pickles and onions on the side for your to chose what you want to put on the burgers.

Strange restaurant. Feels like a relic out of another era so your should visit at least once before it closes (I dont know if itll close anytime soon but it feels like it might disappear any moment). OK food, nothing memorible. Staff was pleasant.

One of those "takes you back in time" kind of places. The burger joint that hasnt changed much at all since the 50s. Food is good for what the menu offers- burgers, cheese steaks, etc. Signature condiments bar makes this restaurant unique.

Staff is friendly, the food is out quick. Really no complaints about the service. The food though is pretty average. Being around so many great places you would think they would step up their game. Not a place I would go out of my way for.

This is one of those places that just seems to be missing something. Food is mediocre. Its not bad, just nothing special. The place is massive. I feel like half of it should be an arcade. Theres so many better options in the area.
