Ive been a fan of the amazing ice cream and blend-ins at Thomas Sweet for many years. However, recently we had occasion to visit there, in cold weather, with a relative in a wheelchair. The Princeton shop on Nassau Street is NOT wheelchair accessible. This is rather ridiculous because they have 2 entrances (one at the front of the building, on Nassau Street, and one on the alley side of the building); a ramp could easily be installed on the alley side of the building. In fact, the shop next door, the only entrance for which is also on the alley, has a ramp. At Thomas Sweet, there is a bell for handicapped patrons to ring. All this means is that someone will come out and take your order, then bring it to you. But you cant see the available flavors, and in the middle of the winter, who wants to sit outside in a wheelchair waiting for ice cream? And then, where will you eat it? A ramp on the side entrance would be simple, inclusive solution.

The ice cream game is strong in Princeton, and well-documented. T Sweets (as its known) is a solid option, and is a go-to for many (including the University, it seems). Pros: Cheap, lots of options, toppings all over the place. They give you tons of ice cream. Your kids (and probably you) will find the circus mirror inside very entertaining. The place has real character, even though its apparently some sort of chain. Cons: The ice cream itself isnt amazing. Also, its (relatively) far away from the walkable center of town/Palmer Square, unlike Halo Pub and Bent Spoon. Conclusion: If you want a large amount of standard ice cream, with a lot of toppings, this is your place. If you want to go broke and also to experience ice cream perfection, go to Bent Spoon with all of the tourists. If you want an all-American experience, go to Halo Pub (my favorite).

Its an ice cream parlour which specializes in handcrafted icecream and frozen yogurt. There are more than 2 dozen flavours available with lots of different toppings. The Staff is very courteous and efficient in serving the customers. The place was crowded when I visited. There is a small seating area inside but the larger seating area is outside. I had a blended icecream flavor for the first time here. Highly recommended

A classic and a local landmark, and both better and less crowded than youll find at any of the ice cream spots in Palmer Square. (Sorry, Halo!) Theyll blend any flavor with any topping, so you could get a different combination every day of the year. Also a great first-date spot; get a cup or cone to go, and youll be finished right about the time your stroll takes you to the campus art museum. Trust me on this one.

During peak season at prime time, expect to wait. But the wait is well worth it. Exceptional choco shakes and a fun filled selection of home made ice cream blends. My wife and I frequent here for date nights. Get a cone and hit the block into the university for a nice evening stroll. Thanks TS for being a solid staple in our community.

Ahh so many memories here from Middle School to High School to the present! I remember one night we were at a party that one of the neighbors was hosting and all the older kids drove us here at night and we had great ice cream. Still come around to this place with my younger sister when her friends and her are feeling ice cream.

I stopped by while on a nighttime stroll and was greeted by a super friendly employee who explained how their blends worked and let me try a bunch of flavors until I decided on the best one. The ice cream was delicious! I recommend Cherry Cordial and Chai.

The ice cream is very tasty! Original source of the blend-in and they actually use a drill to blend your choices into your ice cream. Watch out for long lines and be sure to try the chocolate chip cookie ice cream!

Great ice cream, great options to blend in with it, and I love the fact that you can use something other than vanilla or chocolate as a base. The consistency of the blended ice cream is unique - we liked it!

Very good ice cream with a unique machine that mixing in the toppings. I enjoy the integrated result very much, but my wife thinks the process softens the ice cream too much.

Ice cream was very good, though not the best Ive ever had. The variety of toppings was also stellar, and service was fast enough to serve a long line in short order.

Nutella flavor was surprisingly very good, also loved Black Squirrel (bittersweet chocolate with walnuts). They are generous with samples before you choose.
