Not your typical product review but one that speaks of great service nonetheless. I was out in Somerville walking when I got caught In a terrible downpour, clothes soaked soaked completely through..... The whole nine...... And did I mention, no phone. I desperately needed to call my wife to make sure my car windows were up (I left them down prior to my walk). So as the rain is pouring down Im running into some local businesses asking if I could use the house phone to make a quick local call. Basically all 3 of my attempts were rejected as it was one reason after the next to not let me make a basic phone call. I stumble into Summerville Ice Cream as a last ditch effort (my fourth attempt at this point) and was met by Janine who gladly passed me a phone. Called my wife and yes, she rolled my windows up I time, disaster averted.......I said to Janine that I was sure the ice cream was fantastic, but the service even better!!! She proceeded to let me try a sample of some dulce de leche ice cream. Yum...... Thanx again Janine

Not sure how people rate this more than one star, unless theyve never been anywhere else... Portions are small, Prices are high, and the Ice Cream is between average and terrible (Cookies and Cream was abysmal). My wife and I just wasted about $9... she had to throw hers out (Cookies and Cream)... Definitely wont be a repeat customer... waste your money at your own risk. If you want good ice cream go to the Polar Club on RT22 in White House Station or As You Like it in Raritan (about 2 miles away).

I ordered the soft serve vanilla right before closing and half the cone was dripping before it was served. The owner gave me a cone the size of one youd get at McDonalds and it is essentially the same taste as its not homemade there but at a more hefty price. My son ordered the strawberry ice cream and was just okay, not as refreshing and sweet youd think. An overall okay place, but nothing special.

Some of the best homemade ice cream ever! Love their funky flavors, current favorite is red raspberry with agave nectar. <3 My only problem is that their signs advertise all the flavors they have ever made but not the ones current being offered. So if you arent inside the store you have to keep guessing which flavors are available.

Found this place through a Yelp review. Very good ice cream. Home made. Nice variety of flavors and many that are seasonal. I had a Sundae and my wife had a banana split. Prices are slightly high but the quantity is great! Very friendly, we even met the owner. A bit out of the way so look for it, you wont be disappointed.

Staff is very patient and will answer any question. The serving sizes are HUGE so I usually just get a kids size cone! And Im a hearty eater. Their variety is unique but also full of ice cream cornerstones like Vanilla and Rocky road. Their Earl grey tea ice cream is delicious.

Awesome little ice cream shop that has a bunch of really fantastic, bordering on bizarre flavors as well as all the staples. Cant go wrong. Shouldnt disappoint if youre in the mood for ice cream, especially if you dont know what you want, and youre feeling adventurous.

If you like ice cream and dont want to get the smell thing everytime, this is the place to go. The ice cream is made on site and theres a large variety - ice cream, toppings, cones. Excellent choices, excellent ice cream.
