A favorite in Princeton that has grown to be very successful and deservedly so in the first year. Delicious and creative fresh rolls, good salads, and it never hurts to be BYOB. The owner is always there overseeing all thats going on. Overall the staff is good and I admire that the staff has been consistent with very little overturn. The ambiance is welcoming and warm. Id highly recommend Roots for lunch or dinner! Very few criticisms: Prices are edging on a little too expensive. The restaurant also offers juices and crepes, and frankly its a little confusing. The main menu identifies as Asian Fusion, but then the boards about the POS give a feel of a French cafe. Certain staff members are not as attentive as others.

Fair prices, wonderful atmosphere and service. Staff was very friendly and portion sizes were more than sufficient. The daytime experience is more of a cantina grill where you order at the counter and can take a seat or bag it. However, at dinner time, its more of a sit-down restaurant with full service and an expanded menu. Great place for a date or meal with family and kids. The only negative thing is the entrance to the strip where its located is easy to miss despite being on Route 1. All else was an enjoyable experience and I will be visiting again.

First time in this lovely restaurant but certainly not the last! Great food, friendly and efficient service and management, BYOB, whats not to like? The interior is very nicely decorated, clean and with very high ceilings; a bit noisy but it is a sign of its popularity. The food is delicious with fresh ingredients and creative presentation and all possible combinations. Asian fusion at its best! We shall return! I will look forward to shopping for a change since it can now end with a gratifying experience such as a meal at Roots.

I love pho. Ive had it many different places. Here, the pho is... Ok. Its not great. Theres less meat per serving than other places, and it was only warm - not hot - when I got it. Its expensive here too. A bowl of pho with meat is twelve dollars. Thats more than Ive ever paid before, for a bowl Id describe as a "medium" most places. Other items on the menu were also pricey and relatively small portions, from looking at other diners orders. Place is ok, not great, and expensive.

We went Friday night. No reservation. Took a little while to get a table. The service was good. However the food was just ok. I had rice noodles with veggies in garlic sauce and eggplant. The eggplant tasted like oil :( And they didnt have peanut sauce. Also the pineapple juice was very good. The sweet potato roll and veggie fried roll were good.

Excellent food! The service is quick as well and the staff are courteous. BYOB. This has the look and feel of an fast food place rather than a sit down restaurant but its worth a visit. They actually take reservations so it may be worth making one especially for weekend dinners when it does get crowded.

Some of the food is great. The drunken noodle dish is really good. But some of their other dishes, are just ok. The short rib pictured with this review was super salty. The pork dumpling was great, but the shrimp was a little too shrimpy. They make some stuff really well, but they miss other dishes.

I tried their Pho Bo (Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup) and was a bit disappointed. The soup was perfectly edible, but I didnt like the subtle sweet taste (Its a matter of my own preference) over all the food is great. Id recommend trying the black rice.

Everything Ive ever tried has been delicious. My favorite are the pork buns. Admittedly Ive always been a little confused by the crepes on the menu as the rest of the food is primarily Asian cuisine. But I imagine those are excellent as well.

Consistent with excellent quality and service. Great spot that is tucked away near Whole Foods. I have been by it several times without even noticing it. The décor is nice, food is spectacular and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

This is a fairly new restaurant with a modern feel inside. There are a variety of asian cuisines included (chinese, thai, sushi, korean) as well as crepes and juices. The food has been consistently good and the staff has been very friendly.

Food and drink is pretty great here, including both Asian-style dishes and crepes both savory and sweet. Location is not hard to get to, and plenty of parking available. The main downside is that the prices are pretty high.

Love the food here! Great menu selections and vegetarian choices. Food is consistently good and service is pleasant. Summer rolls, rice bowls, scallion pancakes and steamed vegetable dumplings are a must try!!

The food is delicious, especially the char sui boa and the noodles. If youre coming in any time around lunch though make sure you have at least an hour. Placing an order for pick up took like 50 minutes

I think this place has Taiwanese origins, because their Beef Noodle Soup was as good as what Ive had in New York and in my visit to Taiwan. Ill return to try other items on the menu for sure!

Always in point and food is ALWAYS delicious. Its worth the extra price point for the home made cuisine. Always piping hot and beautifully presented. Perfected every time.

Its a good place, loved the sushi they serve. Its a small place and sometimes it is busy and you can wait forever to someone finally asked you to sit down.

Solid food though a bit on the pricier side. Can get really crowded and sometimes that affects quality of service, so just be mindful of that.

Good though busy restaurant. I dont understand why they take phone bookings and yet make customers wait for more than 20 minutes...!!

Ramen does not taste good. Noodles are more like instant noodles. Soup is also lack of flavor. The place is clean though.

Waited forever to be even asked if we wanted to be seated. Owner paid no attention to us all the while.
