We have been going to this restaurant at least every other week but as of yesterday will not be returning due to the terrible service. First, when shown to our seats, we were expected to squeeze through 2 other tables. I am a large 8mo pregnant, and the space was so tight that the server even knocked into other tables and ours, spilling soy sauce all over. Second, our waiter completely forgot that he had taken our order, we waited about 20 minutes until he returned to our table again, apologizing that "no one" had taken our order yet, when we reminded him that he did, after which he finally entered it into the computer. Then it was another 20 minutes until the food came. Then after that, the kitchen still forgot one of our appetizers. After we had already finished our meal, we told the manager. He said that the kitchen had started making it, so that it would be brought out soon. Our entire meal took 2.5 hours due to all the waiting, plus they did not make any effort to make up for the poor service the entire night (how much would it have been to at least comp the $6 appetizer that they made us wait for?). After this experience, we will be going to Sawa down the street for better food and much better service.

Service was quick and food ok. I had the seafood soup and two rolls from the days specials: the Back to Spring roll and the Honey roll. I was surprised with a very tasty soup at just the right temperature. I certainly enjoyed it. The rolls, for my taste, although yummy they could have more fish. Im used to a full fish flavor and consistency. Comparing prices with places I frequent back home (California) it seemed on the pricy side for my check was about 1.5 times what I usually pay for comparable food. Overall it was a good experience and Id definitely recommended.

We were sat with a family of 7 they ordered dinner for 2 but yet they received the same exact amount of food as we did if not more...secondly the cook mixed filet mignon with regular steak which makes no sense at all...you might as well order regular steak youll get filet mignon anyway and didnt serve the meat evenly which is terrible customer service...that is a scam and a ripoff wont be coming back to this place, just terrible and I saw a roach in the bathroom highly recommend to stay away...go to benihana

Absolutely a miserable experience. The service was TERRIBLE. I am presently here and have been waiting for over 1hr and 15min for a Hinachi chef to come to our table. There is zero regard for customer service here and I do NOT recommend this awful place. Save yourself the misery and go to one of the other 5 Hinachi restaurants in the area. You live and learn and I will never come here again.

Been going here for over a decade and the service and food have gotten better and better!! Best place in town for Japanese Cuisine whether your craving the hibachi grill or fresh sushi! Hands down Mr. Bill is the best bartender in town too!!! Highly recommend you check this place out if your in the area!!!!

A quite reasonable stop for Japanese cuisine near the Jersey shore. Both the sushi and and small plates were delicious, and quickly served. The crowd seemed mostly local, but we were there to eat, not hang out. The staff was friendly, polite, and efficient.

Ive eaten at Ichiban at least a dozen times. Their Sushi and specialty rolls are consistently good. Waitresses are pleasant and the atmosphere is comfortable. I enjoy going there to relax and eat and would recommend Ichiban to others.

Place is a haven for people who love habachi and sushi. I like the udon noodles with beef. All the ingredients were fresh. Veggies tasted like they pulled them from garden. Beef was seasoned just right. Most Def a place to visit.

The food was amazing. We felt a bit rushed, but we were coming in at the end of dinner. My husband and I enjoyed the steamed dumplings immensely, and the sushi was absolutely amazing. The prices were very reasonable!

Very delicious sushi restaurant with a hibachi grill. The hibachi chef was very talented and entertaining. They also have an assortment of sake. The food is a little pricey, but it is very high quality.
