I USED to go here for many years and, for a while, it WAS the best. Over the years they have increased in popularity and have gotten very greedy. They have stopped caring about the customer and the food and worry more about profiting. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. The lady that takes the order has no business dealing with people and the owner should grow a spine and say something because she treats the customer with disrespect in front of him Anyways, on to the food. WOW and that is not a good wow. When eating here, make sure you are well hydrated and you do not suffer from hypertension. Why? The food is way too salty. I understand maybe once or twice, but ALL THE TIME? Come on! Aside from that, I do like the spice it has, whenever they decide to put on a little sauce to the meat. I would not recommend this place anymore until they turn it around. They should start putting pride in their food again and pay better attention to the customers. We are the reason why they are so popular, so stop worrying so much about your pockets and give us a little attention.

I dont normally leave reviews but the old lady there is so rude. I dont like to walk in somewhere to buy something and have the workers be so ride as of they dont want the money. Walked in and the old lady was getting curse out by another customer because she gave her food to someone else so she had to wait longer. When it was my turn she spoke with such a nasty attitude. I figured okay she just finish getting into with someone so shes in a bad a mood now but I went back a couple days later and she spoke the same way...very rude. Shes just seems to be a very bitter old woman. Food is okay not worth having to deal with her.

Theres a reason theyve been on Bloomfield Avenue for so long and its because they have the BEST BBQ around newark. Sure grill masters has been ranking some reputation points but they are nothing compared to these guys. I love their fries, their rice and their chicken. Has a very unique and lovely BBQ flavor. These people know what their doing- clearly. Only reason 4/5 is because theres always a wait and the lady that picks up the phone can sometimes be rude. No point in calling in my order if it isnt ready in 15! Youre better off showing up and waiting!

I see a lot of complaints about the old lady, but Ive never had a bad experience with her, as long as shes not calling people the N word in Portuguese like that little fat balding idiot at Ferry Street BBQ. Ive also never seen roaches at this place Like Ferry Street BBQ. The ribs here are pretty darn good. They also make a decent sized salad for cheap.

everything is good except the fries they are extremely soaked in grease horrible...and rice is so simple no peas or carrots..also if you buy a half a combo and want a spoon of beans because the rice have no flavor they say no that you have to buy the whole bottle of beans for 3 dollars.,but yet the meat is decent

I love the food here, especially the chicken ribs and yellow rice (yummm). The ambiance is a little lacking but it works. The only downside is there is often a long wait if you dont order ahead. Its still totally worth it though. one thing to remember is its CASH ONLY
