My family and I are some of the fortunate people to have realized this gem of a restaurant the first day they opened. Since then I have been back nearly 50 times with my family and friends, and this is no exaggeration. We have NEVER been disappointed! Everything that Chef Edgar creates has been exceptional, and many menu items Ive had are practically to die for. Why stand in line at Longhorn(?) when you can have the best short ribs ever, and an evolving menu and specials that are truly outstanding. At least one of my favorite specials was put on the menu at my request! Tonight I had a Baby Beet Salad that may be the best salad Ive never had. And his roasted Cauliflower Soup special was equally amazing, if youre lucky enough to come in when its featured. Also, the staff is very friendly and Ross the host is a super guy. We love to hear him describe the specials! I cant say enough positives about Bistro 46! Do yourself a favor...bring your favorite dinner drinks and anyone that you want to have a great dinner with...you cant miss if you come here! My only regret is that I waited a year and a half to post a review...shame on me for that!

Took a shot in the dark an brought my family there last night for an early dinner. We werent even sure if it was open! Walked into an empty restaurant, nicely decorated and clean, seated quickly at a nice table. Its byob in case you want to drink with your dinner, so come prepared. Our server was Ross and he was terrific. We all ordered different things and liked everything so much that we found ourselves sharing with each other and having a great time. As time went on more diners started to come in and the atmosphere really came into its own. The food is outstanding and I would highly recommend trying the empanadas, the brushetta, the calimari for starters and if you have any room left go on to try the specials and finally the desert. I wish them good luck and hope they stay around long enough for others to experience this little gem as the location doesnt exactly stand out and attract walk ins like us.

The food was fantastic. My husband and I split the shirt ribs and pan seared scallop special. The also were able to accomidate our children, who had multiple food allergies. We actually stopped on a whim to break up a long car ride and were so glad that we did. The service was azing. Our server was Rosie, but t multiple people came over to our table to see if we were okay or to see if we needed anything, including the owner.

Mothers Day was perfect thanks to Bistro 46! 2017 was the first time in years our whole family could be together. The waiters were outstanding. Ross was our waiter, and he remembered every single request we made and made us feel like kings and queens. The salmon was delicious, as was the key lime pie and all the little extras the restaurant provided. Would go back in a heartbeat...Thank you so much!

Great find. Though the place lacks a little ambiance they more than make up for it in every other way. The service is over the top excellent and the food is great. Buratta and tomato, empanadas, and the short ribs were the best. We had probably 10 dishes at our table, only the goat cheese tart was less than great. Highly recommend.

We went to Bistro 46 on Valentines Day.. Had pan seared scallops and red velvet cake, Angela had braised beef w/ garlic mashed potatoes the meatball app. with taramisu. What a great dinner, great and speedy service and lots of attention. The entire restaurant was filled, including the upper level. Another great job... Thank you

Fantastico!!! Really love this restaurant. From the moment you walk in & are greeted warmly, to the delicious tomato/bean bruschetta treat, everything on the menu is delicious. The food is expertly seasoned & sauces are phenomenal. This is our standing Sunday night date. Amazing gourmet food at reasonable prices. 10 stars!!!

A hidden gem in Netcong! By far the best meal I have had in a very long time! There is absolutely nothing that I could complain about.. Service was great and everyone went over and beyond to make everything perfect! I definitely recommend you go and try it out for yourself.. You wont be disappointed!!

A tad slow with table service but they were very accommodating with the menu and the food was terrific! I wanted onion soup that I saw in their web site but they no longer serve it anymore. The waiter convinced the cook to make me the onion soup that was awesome! As of May of 2017 it was BYOB.

Good food, small setup made to look large with mirrors on both sides. Theres a balcony inside which seems odd but must be an old place. They have a non-functioning bar space as they have no liquor license yet which is a bummer. At least do something else with the bar space till then.

Tonight for dinner (7/23/16) Service excellent. Romaine shopped salad was delicious. Hubby had sausage fettuccini, superb. I had the bouillabaisse..delicious but for the shrimp which were on the tough side. Not cooked to order. We will be back.

Excellent service!!! Delicious cuisine. They gave me a free brucheta and a free after dinner cookie. The atmosphere was also quaint. Primarily because we caught lunch. The decor was slightly upscale but the price were very affordable.

Great food, atmosphere and staff. This is really the best restaurant in the area. Try the short ribs or their rigatoni dish, they are both to die for. The key lime pie is a small portion but will knock your socks off. BYOB.
