Just to clarify, this review is based solely on the food. The staff that we interacted with were fantastic. They were very pleasant and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had a great experience. My wife and I stopped by today to grab a quick lunch. I ordered a soup and burger combination for a very reasonably price $8.95. I ordered snapper soup because it is both a Jersey diner staple and one of my favorite foods. It was inedible. The soup tasted old and reheated like it was microwaved fresh just for me. The bacon cheeseburger was equally horrendous. I didnt know that you could mess up something as much as this was messed up but apparently you can. The burger was way overcooked considering that when I was asked how I would like it I said medium rare. I can let that go though because I wouldnt expect a diner to prepare a burger that was cooked perfectly. The main problem was that the food as a whole was just terrible. Neither myself nor my wife really ate our food because of how bad it was. The waitress was extremely apologetic even though it was not her fault. Bottom line is that I will not be going back here anytime soon.

I used to really love going to this diner. Ive been going to it for 10 years. this past year however, it went down hill and fast! today was the last straw. unattentive staff. the waiteress was busy counting her singles, I had to walk and find her to get her to our table. the place was not full since it was a holiday so this is totally acceptable. they serve orange juice in small, large and extra large as they peg them. $2.50 for 1 glass, a large, which turned out to be a 6oz glass (airlines are more generous!) I ordered the turkey club triple decker, the turkey was actually a piece of VERY dry breast, over-cooked, still has the skin and cartilage - and here i was thinking id get some generic turkey meat - that would have been a great step up. I hate to say it but i am not going back to this place. 2 eggs, cornbeef hash, 2 slices of toast, a turkey club and 2 tiny glasses of OJ for $25?!? im not only disgusted, im disappointed. they lost me as a customer.

Pros: Food arrived quickly Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries were good Desserts were delicious Bus boy was very friendly and appreciative of our business Cons: VERY unfriendly waitress (barely spoke to us and seemed like she did not want to be there at all) Waitress was slow (took 5 minutes to greet initially and then took another 7 minutes to return with our waters and take our order) Overall: Id think twice about going back. Im a server at a local restaurant and it always bothers me when I go out and get less than decent service. Im not expecting anything spectacular, nor do I hold most people to the same standards I hold myself to or that my managers hold me to, but if I gave the level of service I received tonight, Id definitely be fired. The worst part is that the food was REALLY good (especially for a late night snack) and it came out so quickly after we ordered it. If the service wouldve been just decent or okay, I would definitely return, but now...

Went there after a trip out to the bar. Ordered wings and nachos to start out. The wings were 3 diffrent brands so they all looked different. Some were blonde while the others were a mixture of dark and light brown. Ok no big deal until you bit into them and it was just salt and grease. Nachos were terrible bland cheesesteak meat on stale chips with salty cheez whiz. Then the greasefilled cheesesteak i had which i could only manage to eat half of without throwing it back up. The california burger which comes with lettuce onion and tomatoe on it opposed to the other burgers you have to pay extra for that my friend took 1 bite of and had to close his eyes and take deep breaths cuz you felt soo bad. To top it all off the bill was 72.50 which is absolutely insane for such terrible diner food. Im still dealing with eating it 2 days later having to sit on the toilet. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

For starters, this is the first time I think I’ve ever left a non 5 star review for pretty much anything. The two of us have breakfast, two omelettes, two glasses of orange juice (8 oz), and two cups of coffee, oh yeah and it’s side of scrapple for nearly $38 without tip. I am not cheap, but I thought that was expensive for breakfast. Make sure you ask for water because the servers don’t offer you water here. They want you to buy a juice. My 8 oz orange juice was nearly half the cost of the Omelette entrée at $4 a piece so that’s $8 worth of orange juice which cost them probably $0.50. Again I’m not cheap but this is clearly a way for the owners to boost his/her profit margins at this Diner so skip on the orange juice and get yourself a couple of glasses of water instead unless you want to get hosed. On the bright side the food was good and the service was good.

My mother ordered a chefs dinner special prime rib. On the menu it says comes with salad and dessert. After ordering dessert and receiving the check, the dessert was on the check. I discussed with the manager that the dessert is included with the meal. She simply would not hear me and kept stating that she would talk to the owners and menu makers. She quickly became condescending and insulting as we pleaded with her that simply fixing the error on the menu in the future does not help us now. She became irate and as she walked away from our minor disagreement, she threatened to call the cops. For only a $3 dessert this manager decided it was worth it to alienate long term customers instead of calmly discussing the misleading chef special. We will never be back, and will let others know of their extremely poor business practices.

Marlton Dinner has always been one of my favorite diners in the area. The food and service have been consistently above average for years. Now, to the reason for only 4 stars: the ambiance. Formerly of classic diner decor, now Marlton Diner appears to have gone retro. Not fifties, not modern, more like 20s. But not in a good way. The booths have been reupholstered in a green somewhere between lime and vomit, and the floor is those one inch tiles which, despite being clean, remind me of an old, dirty turnpike restroom. Additionally, the music is now Michael Buble, acoustic Rihanna and Amy Winehouse. TL;DR The food is good, prices are decent, and open 24 hours; new decor is for sure a downgrade. I do recommend and plan on returning.

Portions were pathetically small. The diner had no heat and was about 42°. Additionally the restrooms had trough style sinks, there was no temperature control on the sink, therefore I wash my already ice cold hands in even colder water. I ordered a hot meal yet the "hot pastrami" was served cold and when I tried to get attention of the waitress so that I could order a soup to warm myself up, she completely ignored me. Please never ever subject yourself to this awful diner . Next time I look for an open diner at 3 AM Ill look for a 7-Eleven that has Alpo and expect a better meal.
