Ive gone a few times to eat here and I usually order either a burger or a sandwich. This last and final time I decided to branch out and try something new. It was a terrible mistake. I ordered a dinner item, the steak had an off taste and the "mashed potatoes" were instant. The only good part of my meal were the zucchini in marinara, the mozzarella sticks, and the half of grilled cheese my daughter didnt eat. My husband complained about his frozen seafood dish tasting bad as well. Not only was our food terrible. It was expensive. If we wanted to spend the insane amount we did, we shouldve gone to a resturant where there was good food. Our service was terrible as well. The waitress was huffy every time we asked for a refill on our drinks. My son had knocked over a glass of water as soon as we sat down and she was pissed she had to clean it up. Not only was her attitude not friendly. She forgot our soup and salad and we had to remind several times for drink refills. I dont think Id ever go here again. There are far better dinners in the area, plus with the bill we were charge is rather go to a resturant

The service was good. Waitress was friendly enough and mostly attentive. The table was dirty when we sat down, the service had to be changed out as it was dirty as well. The burger was just a burger and not cooked as requested. The Greek salad was plentiful but not good at all. Tomatos were so under ripened they were HARD in some bites, no sweetness or tenderness. The dressing was very bland and treaditionally Greek salad has no lettuce, but pretty much every diner uses lettuce in salad so that is fine. BUT you do not use iceberg lettuce. It should be mixed greens or at the least Romaine but never is it acceptable to label it a GREEK SALAD and use a MOUND OF ICEBERG littered with some HARD under rippend tomatos, not very appetising Dolmas, and raw unsoaked onion, cucumber, green pepper and some of the blandest feta Ive eaten. Will not be a spot I stop at on my way through Budd Lake again..

One of my favorites! I dont typically feel gastrically satisfied when I eat out, but I do feel full after every meal here. The California Burger is a favorite for both my husband and me, and I also like the Cream of Turkey soup thats served on Sundays. Not a fan of their patty melt, and I was disappointed to see that their breakfast wrap doesnt have cheese (I thought it did, or I would have asked to add it). Otherwise, the service is usually great, the prices are amazing, especially for the amount of food you get, and the best part is that they are open 24 hours!! We tend to go around 1 or 2am quite a bit haha :)

Traditional diner experience. Old school padded booths (real, not retro as youll find in faux upscale places that are trying, but failing to convey homey, homespun illusions). And tables for those wanting more elbow room. Great breakfasts. The Budd Lake Diner offers good, cheap comfort food - at all hours. Large menu with items priced the way they should be at a diner. Friendly wait staff. Youll fill up easily and inexpensively. Whatever youre craving, whenever youre craving it.

I was here about a month ago and my plate had a fruit fly glued to my plate. I told the waitress and blame it that it might be from the dinning room, not the kitchen. I was about to take a bite on my sandwich and I saw the little fly glued and fighting for its life, GROSS!!! The waitress replaced my sandwich, but Ill never be back again. I left grossed out and with a stomach pain for the rest of the night.

By far, the best diner in New Jersey. I have been coming here since I was 8 years old and truly, nothing else compares. The service is swift and friendly, the food is delicious, and the coffee is the best around. BLD (as it is lovingly called by locals), is frequently packed Sunday mornings and for good reason. Theyve been open for 30 years, this year (2016) and for good reason!

This is one of my favorite diners. I recommend either the beef goulash or the turkey dinner special. Both are delicious and is a generous amount of food. I have never had anything I didnt like at the Budd Lake Diner. And the service is top notch. The waitresses have decades of experience so you get fast, accurate service. Theyre just the best all around!

ive eatin at the budd lake diner on numerous occasions with freinds and family and have found this place to be repulsive. The staff is unattentive try getting there attention is like waking up the dead. The food is small in portion bland and the quality isnt there i dont recommend this place to anyone unless you want to get ripped off

Had great eggs Benedict there! Staff is friendly and attentive, parking is minimal & bathroom is tiny and outdated and it is awkwardly quiet (no music no tv) but that added to its charm after a few mins...but who cares about those lil quirks...overall the food is awesome, definitely better than your average diner! Ill be back!

Small diner with that authentic diner look and feel. Friendly staff and a huge menu so lots of choices. Food arrived shortly not a long wait and was cooker perfectly . All in all nice place to grab a bite with no pressure It is rather quiet and not loud so you can enjoy your meal and not feel pressure to hurry and leave

This diner had typical food that you would find at most diners. The prices are reasonable and the quality is decent. The waitress service was warm and friendly as was the greeting at the front door when arriving. Nothing special but nothing bad to say about this establishment. Food was hot and fresh as it should be.

Food is OK, nothing great, coffee is OK cups way to same, wait staff is fair not over friendly, woman behind the register is very rude, not sure if shes the owner, and what ever you do dont try to send anything back, because you will be told that the way it is, so I would really find another place to eat

Its great that a diner is around here...actually excellent idea on the owners part since others in the faculty chose at regular hours. So when you have that late nite crave you come and sit and get some grub. Just always make sure to be specific about your order so you can have a delightful experience.

I was recently at this horrible resteraunt, the food was horrible, and when I opened my crackers for soup, bugs fell all over the soup and I almost didnt realize it and ate it. The waitress was very unsociable and she messed up our orders, would highly recommend never to go there again.

My pork roll egg and cheese sandwich was very good. Service was good. Wife had a chicken wrap that was not good. The wrap consisted of lettuce bland tomatoes unseasoned chicken breast. Nothing else. No ranch, mayo or even oil and vinegar. Worst most boring wrap ever.

In New Jersey for the night so figured we would stop in for a bite to eat. Very satisfied with everything. Our waitress, Amanda was very friendly and fast. Food was absolutely amazing! If we are ever up this way again, we will definitely stop back.
