The food here was decent. Its a legit diner, so its not like the food is incredible or anything to start with. But its good diner food. The problem is the staff. Not necessarily the servers, they seemed nice enough (though someone of them look like they were yanked out of the retirement home to drop off plates all day) but the management. One lady in particular (lets call her the ogre) was probably the most unprofessional person I have ever seen in food service. She would stomp around the whole time we were there chasing down servers and getting into arguments with them right on the floor. The kind of things you do in the back, in the kitchen, not in front of the customers. She was huffing and puffing the whole time we were there getting mad at everyone for everything - but with no self control. Its one thing if a server does something wrong or forgets something... but you dont chase the person down and get into a spat in front of the customers. Especially when the place is packed, like it was when we were there. Very disappointing and unprofessional. I likely wont be back in this area for a while - but if I were, that would be nearly enough to keep me away from this place in the future.

Lets start with the good part first. Our waitress was excellent. Now the bad part. The food was terrible. Mashed potatoes that tasted like instant. The first time that I ever had cream of mushroom soup that the mushrooms crunched when I tried to chew them. The beef gravy had a mashed carrot taste to it that was gross. My lady had open face turkey with stuffing. The worst stuffing ever. Pasty and loaded with celery Turkey gravy straight from a can. Turkey? well you could have fooled me. More like thick sliced deli meat. Oh I almost forgot, the water was good. lets start with the good part

At first, it looks like a greasy spoon diner. But when you walk in the front door you see cozy counter with delicious looking desserts in the refrigerated cases staring you down saying, "eat me!" The decor makes the place feel homey. Service is fast and courteous. My boyfriend had the Chorizo Eggs Bene. It mustve been super delicious because he left a clean plate on the table. I had the Red, White and Blue Belgian waffles (WITH whipped cream!) DELICIOSO! The waffle and berries were so FRESH!!! The place will be our spot to eat at when leaving A.C. from now on!

The food is good. I actually have an issue with the interaction that takes place on their social media. I gave them good reviews, and made sure to share their business with my 50,000+ online following, there wasnt even a simple thank you from management. Which may not seem like a big deal to most people, but marketers would eat companies alive for simple promo. I did it for free because they did a great job on my food. Now, some of the waitresses how ever seem a little racist. Thats a whole other review.

Me and my family went on a Sunday afternoon for brunch There was a wait time for almost 15-20 mins. The food was ok and fine can not rate it as excellent as i had a heart burn after an hour of eating my brunch by the way i had meat loaf with mashed potato which was tasty . My family was complaining about the pancake syrup they got as it was of cheap grade or quality Rest everything was fine as there are no dinner in at least 10 miles radius near that

Great staff they treat us like family however we might eat there a little to often. But the food is not just dinner food. The specials are great they will make it anyway you order it. And its affordable if you just get dinner and not all the extra. The appetizers are tasty though so it might be hard to skip. My wife likes the sirloin special to small for me but not bad. I like the grilled chicken alfredo and the slovaki special too

This is your everyday all american Jersey diner. The food is good and the coffee used to be good, until they recently changed the brand they use. service is generally great but there are a few waitresses that can get a little grumpy every now and then, but the food comes out fast for the most part. if you go for breakfast, or like me, enjoy breakfast all day long, try the country omelet. its my go to at the Silver Coin.

5 stars for its quality as a diner. Its obviously not comparable to a 5 star restaurant but as far as diners go, this place is great. Like most diners, they are open 24/7, have a large menu and offer breakfast all day. Service is quick, portions are large and the food is quite good although I typically stick to diner-safw choices. P.S. the tapioca pudding is delish!

Went here last week for a family dinner. There were about 10 of us, but the server handled our table with grace. She gave us recommendations, which some of our party decided to try, and remained friendly the whole night. She even joked around with us a bit. The food came in a timely manner and everything was great. 5/5 would eat here again!

My family loves the Silver Coin diner. The food is great, the people are friendly and the service is fast. No matter what time of day, you can always find something great to eat there. All breakfast items are good, salads, club sandwiches, burgers, mozzarella sticks and the skinny fries are some favorites.

Everything I have tried so far here has been delicious. The service has always been friendly and fairly quick. On top of that a friend of mine had car trouble and they were kind enough to let him sit and wait for us to come get him. Nice people.

The staff is very friendly and the food is good. Their breakfast is definitely the best part of the menu, but their lunch and dinner items are good as well. The best option for breakfast in Hammonton without a doubt.

Chicken Pot pie would have been much better if they didnt overload it with celery and onions . I removed at least 1/2 cup from half of the pie. My husbands French fries were luke warm. Rest of the meal was fine.

pretty good food and fast service. Most of the servers are good. There are a couple servers that are not that nice and could use some additional training but the hostess is awesome and personable.
