These guys are biggest thieves. Avoid these people at any cost. We bought a groupon promotion of get $30 worth of bakery items for the $15. We ordered a birthday cake for our daughter. My wife place the order at the Dayton, NJ store. Whoever took the order confirmed that the cake will be decorated including the toys according to the design she had selected. Today, I picked the cake and went home. My wife checked the cake and found that the toys are missing in the cake. She called them and agreed that this was their mistake and asked us to come back to the store to get the available toys. When I went back again and noticed that, they did not have any good toys at all. It was very disappointing. Wast of my time. Then I asked them, why coudnt they inform us before I pick the cake?. They said, thats what they will do as they did not have the toys that my wife selected. Its a biggest mess by decorating the cake with a not suitable toy and it looked awkward. The sales girl and the owner were shouting at me as if they are doing a biggest favour to me by giving a replacement toy. My daugher was very much upset and they made her crying on her birthday. Its a shame on their business practice. I am sure they would not do the same to an american who places a cake like us. These guys are biggest racists and they dont treat the people well who came from India.

Food poisoning! Should I say more? Avoid this place. Stale food, unhygienic handling and unclean store even by Indian fast food standards. Dont remember if this is a cash only place. Got samosas from here. Asked them to be heated on grill. Noticed that no plate was used and they were thrown in the microwave directly. Yikes! That shouldve been a clue. Had to fight with the person to heat a separate batch on a clean, hopefully unused, plate. Somosas were alright, about average. Not crispy at all. That was thr family snack in the evening. In a few hours everyone who ate samosas was sick. Reported this restaurant but havent heard anything in 6 months.

Bought a birthday cake from here...all my guests loved it! All the staff was courteous and responsive. Will use them again...told all my guests where i got the cake from! Very good Indian style cake...all my guests are American citizens from India for 25+ years or American born Indians...and they all thought the cake tasted delicious! I got the fruit cake and the guy assured me that everything will be written correctly and it was! Mostly Indian workers that speak English, only one non English speaking Spanish guy in the back! Right way to do it.

I go to hot breads for Veg Panini and their eggless cakes all the time. I went to get veg panini today and while he asked if thats it - I asked for the price for plum cake (they have 2 slices in a bag). It was two bucks and I only had 8 bucks out which Panini is 7.50 with taxes and they have strict only cash or check rule so sadly I had to say no for the plum cake and the guy to my surprise said give me 8 bucks and take the plum cake. I was sooo happy with the gesture and not to forget their Panini is a super hit at my work.

Food is very good...Especially the cakes, cookies, puffs and panini... you also get most of the bakery delicacies which you would have found in your local bangalore bakery...You indeed are reminded of good old days in bangalore! All this is messed up by terrible customer service: the new personnel at the counter seem to lack simple customer service etiquette... also, they did a half assed job on my wifes bday cake. 5 stars (food) - 1 star (bday cake fiasco) - 1 star (poor cust serv) = 3 stars

I usually dont voice a complaint unless its necessary. Yesterday, I ordered a cake. the quality was so deteriorated, it tastes nasty and my kids didnt even touched it. It tastes HORRIBLE.Most of their cakes are stale now. I will never order from them again. We were great lovers of Hot breads. NOT ANYMORE !!!!! The cakes being expensive, they have to provide high quality food. They have to follow the food compliance which is highly lacking!!!!!!

Normally I find their food very tasty but today there was someone new who paid no attention to me or my order. Food was tasteless. He was too much interested in talking to someone inside the kitchen and did not care about the customer at all. I would be very hesitant to go back. This is a common problem with Indian businessman. They don’t care about customer and have zero customer service.

More attention and courteousness was given to them, while we were essentially ignored, even over people that came in after us. This is why the review is poor. The food is good but the service is not worth a second visit.

Horrrrrrible....avoid at any cost...unhygienic aND sick food...got a stomache after buying form here. Threw away rest of food...Owner ...guy with specs...is very curt and unfriendly...avoid...someone should complain to the authorities for a hygiene check.

We regularly get takeout from Edison hotbreads. So we thought this hotbreads would be the same. All the food we tried here was awful and stale. We tried Vada pav, paneer puff, mix-veg puff and kheema puff. One of the worst foods of all time.

This is a replica in high-fidelity of the Hot Breads in Edison. The dabeli pav and pavs are unmatched while the vada pav is good (nothing can yet compete with the vada pav that used to be sold in Desi Galaxy before it burned down).

We really enjoy eggless cake and pastries that Hot Breads sell. It is very good quality and also prices are reasonable. Customer service is not top of the notch but food is good.
