I have been getting bagels from the Bagel Bin since I was in Middle School, over 15 years ago, and continued to get them till I graduated High School. Then, every time I was home from college the first stop was there to get my morning bagel and even though I live across the country in LA now, each and every time I am home I stop in, right off my red-eye flight as they are opening, and continue to pick one up each morning Im home, which starts my day off perfectly! The owner and staff have been nothing but kind and giving to me and my family and they have learned over the years that I love the very lightly baked ones, so, they pick those out specially for me every time, which I then spread with their chive cream cheese and a slice of ham and it makes one of my all time favorite bagel sandwiches! To this day, I, and my sisters, dont even bother ordering a bagel anywhere else, but especially in LA or on the West coast, because they are just bread with a hole in the middle. The Bagel Bin has perfected their bagels with the perfect elasticity in the dough that cant be beat! You havent had a real bagel until you have had a Bagel Bin Bagel...at least in my book! :)

I started going to the Bagel Bin in 1993 - they had recently opened and I had just moved to NJ with my husband and baby. I figured all greater New York area bagels would be the same but since moving from NJ to MA to CA, I still dream of them! Chewy on the inside, crispy on the outside - the best! The owners have a special place in my heart, they welcomed me to New Jersey and were like a family to me! I send them a holiday card every year and we always get one in return. I LOVE the Bagel Bin! Still trying to figure out how to get them shipped cross-country and still have them fresh.

I am a displaced Long Islander and when moving to NJ was very disappointed in the lack of proper bagels. Most places around here sell these huge bread rings as bagels. Bagel Bin is the only place in the area I have found that has what I consider authentic NY bagels. Not too doughy, nice chewy crust.. the bagels are great. Yes its slightly hard to get into the parking lot. Sometimes it gets a little busy and they are frazzled. Toughen up people, the bagels are awesome.

The bagels that you get from the bagel bin are the same as i used to get back in Queens backin the 50s. These other bagel places make these bready bagels with no hole and nothing but dough, ok for a sandwich but not a bagel. The family that owns the Bagel bin have always been very kind to me and hard working people sometimes dealing with typical rude people that have taken over much of the area.

If you are thinking of parking in their lot, think again. I was verbally attacked by an employee of the Bagel Bin and then the landlord. I made the mistake of thinking it was public parking and then was told if I dont move my car immediately the police would be called. Sounds crazy I know but from what I have been told it is commonplace in this particular parking lot in Bernardsville, NJ.

I asked if they had veggie or sundried tomato bagels and was curtly told "No. We only use organic ingredients". What?! Despite my distaste for American fetishism about organic foods, if that was even a concern for them, Im pretty sure they could find organic vegetables and sundried tomatoes in Morris County of all places.

Customer service is LACKING. I was in there today and they yelled at a customer. Whatever happened to customer service? Or even common courtesy! Plus, they are stingy with napkins. Bagel Bin wont get my business anymore.

Best bagels in all of NJ - great service too. Local, fresh, delicious. New and exciting cream cheeses regularly and even their lunches are good too! Try the egg salad - its a fan favorite.

They truly are the BEST bagels in the state. They are all made free hand so if you have never seen them before you may be skeptical. After the first bite you will be a believer!

Their bagels are amazing. The best Ive ever had. They are quite mean though, but it reminds me of Seinfeld, except this is the bagel Nazi, not soup

Delicious, chewy bagels made fresh all morning. I would give this place 5 stars, if it werent for the surly service.

Never understood the hype this place generates. Too much of a hassle to get a lousy bagel.
