I normally dont give a negative review. However in this case I feel it is necessary. As soon as I sat down I noticed the place mat and the menus were full of advertiments. I thought to myself, "is this what is keeping the lights on?" They also have too many options in their menu, it starts with traditional American then transitions to Italian, Hispanic, Greek and Asian. I feel the menu is too large to focus on quality. I played it safe by ordering breakfast. It was decent. I could tell my eggs had been cooked first and let to sit while the rest of my meal was cooking, they were already dry on the outside. My coworker ordered a chicken salad, the chicken looked like it had been cooked previously and reheated. It was extremely dry, not fresh. I feel this is one of those restaurants that a professional chefs from TV should come in and "fix". Hint hint Gordon Ramsey.

Worst experience. Went for lunch with mom. It wasnt busy at all and that should have been a clue. Waited at least 15 to 20 minutes before the waiter came to even ask if we wanted something to drink. Waited an unusually long time for our food. My omelette was pretty much flavorless, dont think the cook knows what spices are. The roll my moms sandwich came on was stale and hard, not edable, so she took the taylor ham and egg off the roll. Told the hostess who acted like we were being rude. Told the waiter when we asked for the check. The waiter took the check back & said he would take the sandwich off the bill. He walks away with the bill to adjust it but goes to a table to take an order first not getting back to our table with the corrected bill for at least another 15 minutes. Awful food & terrible service - will definitely NOT go back.

Its a good diner. Just like every diner, placemats with local businesses advertisements, full menu. My husband and I laughed to see that a previous commenter saw these standard NJ diner features as a negative! Breakfast all day. Our waitress was attentive and quick to please with a smile and Tabasco, choice of syrup (regular or sugar-free), clean knife (one drawback—my knife had residue on it). Food was fine: eggs Benedict with fresh fruit cup substituted for the potatoes (reasonable up charge for the very fresh strawberries, blueberries, banana slices, and fresh cut melon); custom egg whites, mushrooms, onion, and broccoli omelette with pancakes; coffee and unsweetened iced tea. Also, the restrooms were clean and stocked with the necessaries. Could use updating, though. Plants in the outside planters are dead or dying.

It was something special. Ive been coming here for over 10 years, at least 6 times a year. The last 3 or 4 times, it just hasnt been as good. Food quality has really went down. Example a breakfast skillet had way too much grease; pancakes lost their magic, less flufly and no griddle taste, the hollandaise sauce isnt the same either; even the pancake syrup tastes cheaper. Maybe their targeting the seniors with tight wallets, but now when I head to Flemington, I dont get excited to go here. I feel sad, because it was one of my favorite places for breakfast food.

This would be my goto breakfast place if it werent so far out of my way. First the food is awesome. Second the bakery food at the counter is mouth watering. Really really great selection. The service is always great and when we ask for coffee they just drop off a pot for us to serve ourselves. This sounds crazy but that is heaven for me... to not have to wait for the coffee. Its such a simple gesture but something many other places just dont do. Never change that... please!

Were visitors from Canada that stumbled across this breakfast place we read about on Google local. I am in disagreement on most of the reviews. This is not a place I would see anytime soon again. The decor is from a horror movie from the 70s, the food quality obviously passes the food inspectors criteria but not my pallet. I imaging the food cost is heavily subsidised by the advertising found I in the menu pages. Id pay more for better quality.

If youre looking for a good place for breakfast this is the place to go! They serve breakfast all day and their buttermilk pancakes are to die for! They also serve lunch and dinner but are better known for the breakfast. This a great casual dining place and not to mention the service. The owners are very nice and good people, so if they was anything you didnt like be sure to let them know and they will make it right.

Service was very friendly, BUT... Food is cheap and not very good. Everything seems to have come out of a can or a box. Worst travesty of all... the pork roll is not authentic Taylors brand (the pride of Trenton!) They give you some generic crap and charge low prices for a ton of bad food. I would go back if theyd raise the quality and lower the quantity. But thats a big "if"...

The service was not good, our waitress was friendly but not attentive to our common needs like water or utensils, we received our utensils after our food was brought. My friend kept getting up to get us spoons for our coffee or napkins! I expected better service. The food was okay but the service bothered me alot considering the staff were young people!!!!

Been there a few times and always had luck. The breakfast specials are a good price and the standard fare is good. My favorite thing there is the sausage gravy. Hard to find in the northeast, much less finding a good version. The one weak spot has been the salads but, lets be honest, most people dont go to a diner for a salad.

Food was good....our server seemed nice, at first. Then she dropped off the check. Didnt ask if we wanted anything else and proceeded to sit with a customer. I had to ask the hostess about dessert. Our server finally comes over and asks us what we wanted with an attitude like we were an inconvenience. My friend still tipped.

Very slow service. Waitress didnt know soup of the day. Soup was luke warm and pankcakes were heavy, dry with no flavor. Pretty sure they gave us margarine. Nobody came back to check on us and were in desperate need of napkins and a refill. We left most of our food. Dont waste your time.

Im actually surprised this place is still in business but I suspect they wont last a few more years. The food is mediocre and the service was somewhat poor the last few visits. On one visit they were out of 2 different menu items our party chose and we had to pick something else.

We love the Good Morning Country special! Always enough for breakfast the next day as well, which we love! The owner, manager, Jay, is a super nice guy and the staff always look to please. Great place for families and friends to enjoy a meal together.
