These reviews are rather unrealistic. I assume they are friends of the owner. My experience was St. Patricks day. First, the place looks huge from the outside but is quite small. We asked at the bar to be seated since there was no host(ess). We scored the last table and ordered some Guinnesses. The waitresses were very nice. The food was typical bar food. We had appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were the battered kind which was nice. The chicken fingers were large and thin. The steak fries were great. It is hard to find steak fries anymore, so this is a good find. What I did not like: The lighting was too bright for that kind of bar. There is an outdoor section where people smoke. The back door was open the whole time and the smoke wafted in creating an unpleasant dining experience.

Think its just food and booze now, used to have pool table and leagues however no more. Also be careful pulling out of this bar parking lot if drinking, there are ALWAYS Cranford police just waiting outside the parking lot with a speed trap for those coming over the parkway or off the parkway and they also watch people pulling out of the bar. Cant comment on the food these days but in the past it was okay, guess they expanded the menu and hired a full time cook. This place used to be and probably still is a hangout for off duty cop and where they get their drink on so tread lightly, they get away with more than you ever could and some have chip on their shoulders.

Been coming here for 9 years. Its a solid place. They always have a couple excellent craft beers on tap and a great bottled beer selection. The little neck clams are excellent, as are most of he daily specials. Burgers are very well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately, the buns are huge! Steak fries and wings are awesome and the bar pies are as good as anywhere. Service is good. Bartenders are great. In the past we had questions about our bill, but it was always resolved to our satisfaction. Overall. The atmosphere is great with low lighting and Grateful Dead memorabilia. I would never steer anyone away from here.

First time here for me. The menu isnt that large so if youre looking for a huge selection, this isnt going to be for you. That being said, I was pretty satisfied with the food and service. Its not the classiest place to eat but sometimes you want somewhere to go thats simple. The prices are perfect so you wont have to worry about being dragged over hot coals when you get the check.. Ill be back here for sure.

I would never go back to this place. If I could give it a negative star, I would. The owner is arrogant, real jerk. Had an appointment with him which he forgot and over slept and had such an attitude, like I was the one who forgot. Never in my life I met a business owner that was so rude and nasty. I would go out of my way not to patronize that establishment. There are so may better places in the area.

Great local place! My son had a baseball game around the corner so we were in the area and decided to try this place out. They have a great selection of beers on tap, good food, tons of TVs, dsrts and an outdoor patio...what else is necessary for a great bar/restaurant?

Excellent pub with good food and 4 tvs. I was passing thru and found this place via google maps. Had lunch at the bar while watching us open tennis. Very good service and the pastrami sandwich was perfect.
