To start off on a positive note- The outdoor seating area and bar are absolutely gorgeous on a nice day. Theres an open view of the hills around 287 that almost makes it worth the trip there. But its not. I live very near this place so over the years Ive dropped in 3-4 times on nice days and my experience has always been the same. The food is awful, the prices are too high, and its often extremely crowded. My trip there this past weekend is pretty archetypal of my experience there. I got a table with one other companion and we ordered some drinks and nachos outside. There wasnt a wait, which was nice. The day was beautiful and the view was great. The nachos were pretty terrible. There were large cuts of Romaine lettuce leaves piled on top for some reason, which we removed- A little weird but okay. The real problem was that half of the nachos tasted like soap. We didnt finish them, and later both got stomach aches from what we ate. Gross. We finished up and asked if we could move to a 4-person table since we had two other guests joining us for food and we were going to have a few more drinks since it was a nice day (thanks Uber!). They told us they couldnt seat us, which was fine. I understood that on such a nice day there was probably a high demand for tables. What was frustrating, though, was having to stand near the bar area (which was incredibly crowded) and watching 2-3 four-person tables at a time remain empty even after they had been cleaned. Why couldnt we just have taken one? We ended up not ordering any more food since we had nowhere to eat. Did they not want to sell more food? To make things even worse, the bar area was so crowded that we ended up having to stand within the walking routes of the wait staff and busboys. This led to one of the more obnoxious staff members yelling at us and making us feel like idiots; "Really bad place to stand guys, youre right in the way. I have to bring out food, you better move." After which he rudely shoved past us. Listen pal, its not my fault youre having a bad day or whatever; and your restaurant denied us a table despite the fact that there have been 3 open for the past 15 minutes. The exchange really made me angry, Im getting annoyed again just thinking about it. So we left the bar area and went to the dining area, but this wasnt much better because we were constantly in the wait staffs way. There were some tents and about a half dozen picnic-style tables set up next the dining area. It was some sort of event area, but it was completely empty. There was a sign that asked us not to enter, so we asked one of the waitresses if we could sit there until whoever had the area reserved arrived to use it. She was friendly and said to go ahead, it shouldnt be a problem. So we go in and we dont even get to sit down before a different person rushes over and tells us were not allowed in the area. And he did this by yelling to us and rudely saying "Nope.", as if we did something wrong. Didnt even give us the time of day or to explain that we had asked another member of staff. After this we went back to the dining area before deciding just to leave the place. On our way out we again spied a couple of empty four-person tables. Its absolutely puzzling the way they manage their restaurant; we would have spent another $100 there between the four of us, easily. Instead we left to go elsewhere. Money left on the table by poor management and unnecessary rudeness. Its a pretty terrible experience pretty much all around, and it seems to have gotten worse over the years. It used to be that the food was poor and overpriced, now it seems overcrowded, poorly managed, and staffed by overly rude people as well. The outdoor area and the view are fantastic, but even then its just not worth it. Find somewhere else with outdoor seating until this place changes management and cook staff.

Frequent this Pub often enough since it opened. Something is wrong now as of 10/12/10. Recent visit was eye opening. I have read the current reviews and do agree that this is a PUB, therefore BAR food. BUT the food & service early on was great! This visit was cause for concern. We sat outside to enjoy a nice October day and enjoy the planes coming & going as people do. I noticed that the wooden slat top tables all were spotted and stained. They were wiped clean mind you, but greasy looking stains all over. Reminded me of a Seashore boardwalk around a food stand! I ordered a martini, straight up, with olives. The server brought it over with no olives. She stated they were out of olives! Who runs out of olives? She didnt offer a twist of lemon or a onion either. I would think that the first order of business would be to return after the drink order and tell me they were out of olives, so perhaps I could change my order. One other reviewer stated "its a BAR folks" well, then run a proper BAR at least! I told the waitress to leave the Martini. when I was down to my last sip, I had leaned over to an nearby table to say hello to someone I recognized. when I returned to a upright position, my plate was cleared (empty and OK) and my Martini was gone. Again, with the Martini glass still having contents, it shoulnt have been cleared. My opinion? The place needs to review its Management.

Ive visited the restaurant a few times and enjoyed it so my fiancé and I decided to have our engagement party there with 50-100 people. I made a reservation in April with Jane after a few conversations on the phone for September. In July I called to confirm the reservation and she told me the owner and chef had decided not to host any parties in the summer until October. I reminded her that I had a reservation, which she had on file, and she stated they were not honoring it. I said it would have been nice if she had at least reached out to me sooner to tell me they would not be honoring my reservation and she said it was my fault. NEVER BOOK PARTIES AT THIS RESTAURANT. The staff is incredibly rude and theres a great chance theyll cancel on you without telling you!

It was HORRIBLE! If u are NOT a local do NOT go there! I walked in with my husband & friends, we waited five minutes for someone to address us! The waiter said one minute to my "we want to sit outside." One minute turned into TEN minutes of us waiting. I finally walked and found a waiters, asked for the hostess to only wait another five minutes! Finally the hostess came only to tell me seating outside was a 30 minute wait! So we were offered seats in front of the EXTREMELY LOUD band, the waiters got our drink order messed up (4 beers, she bought us 3 beers!)! Once again if U are NOT a local do NOT go! Oh by the way if you are a local, U are not friendly! For non locals we were stared at the whole time!

Went there on fathers day as we do every year. The service and kitchen staff were absolutely horrible. One and a half hours wait for our order and three burgers came out wrong and Ahi Tuna salad was dressed rather than no dressing as requested. Service person came over that he would rather spend to day with his father so I suggested that he quit so he could do that. His demeanor was absolutely abusive. Manager comped our bill but that was only a small favor for ruining Dads day. By the way, they remade the hamburgers and they were made incorrectly the second time as well. They have lost us as a customer.
