this diner used to be a place i frequented more than once a week. they were always very good to me and personable, at least in the beginning. im an extremely picky eater and they gave me the special-request orders i asked for, for the most part. i would have given five stars if i was writing this a year or two ago. i have been a very loyal customer for that long. at some point within the last two years, the wait service declined steadily in quality. my orders were suddenly not honored and i encountered some very rude waiters/waitresses who seemed to have chips on their shoulders. i started planning to go at certain times and certain days to avoid the employees i knew were sub-par, but that got harder to do as the entire experience lost its positive edge. recently, i went to the diner like usual, and it was late at night. probably after 3am late. the place was pretty much completely empty. after i ate, i sat waiting for my waitress for over an hour. she hadnt come to check on me since she brought me the entree, and it was pushing 5am and i had to get going. she never came to give me the check, so i got up and went to the register at the front, and told the man that i was not given a check but really had to be going. my waitress was sitting with another employee chatting all this time and did not notice any of this. i paid and went home. i did not complain to the manager or make a big deal out of any of this. i just had to be on my way. the next time i come in, im assigned the same waitress. she all but spits in my face. she begins by asking me if i want anything to drink, then throws her notepad on my table and says, "i just want to say something to you. why did you get me in trouble last time you were here? why did you tell the man that i didnt give you a check?" i was absolutely taken aback. she was practically shouting at me. i replied by telling her that i told him that because... i didnt receive a check or service from her... she continues raising her voice at me about how i got her in trouble and how i should have gotten up last time to find her and ask her directly for my check. i laughed at her and told her that it is not my job to find her and hunt my check down. after she walks away from my table, i got up and found a manager, and told him about how she came at me aggressively and shouting at me, and that id like a different waitress. nobody else was on shift. i apologized to the manager but told him i was leaving. he apologized to me, promised to talk to her, but i felt like he was being insincere to me. i didnt come back for weeks. when i came the next time, i saw that the waitress there was the same one as before and she was the only one on shift. i saw her and then turned around and left. i refuse to be serviced by her again and considered boycotting the entire restaurant because of her. she is a young spanish woman with caramel colored hair who works late nights/early mornings on weekends, unsure about week days. she is a very nasty woman. i think it is incredibly ballsy of this woman to feel so secure in her job that she thinks she can yell at customers, because evidently she can, and get away with it. it is not me who receives a check from tick tock, it is not my job on the line. its hers, and she still knows she can treat people like dirt and management will not care. as a customer who ate at this diner more than three times a week for over two years, i feel like i got slapped in the face. i might come once every two or three months now. i tell everyone i know about this experience and about this particular waitress. i really pray that she gets fired. the food is not so good that it is worth being treated like i am worthless, either. id say that you guys can choose for yourselves but this has been a very insulting experience for me. on the other hand, there are some very good waiters/waitresses here, but when theyre bad, theyre really bad. eat at your own risk!

When there because hubby and I were looking just to eat some dessert. We got our seat and make us wait like 15 minutes or more just for the waiter to give us water. Everyone who got there after us the waiters took their orders and food were coming out. My hubby asked for the ice cream royale and I asked for the brownie a la mode. Hubby received his ice cream, I got nothing. Waiter walked away and before entering to the kitchen he told us there were not brownie. So we waited, waited, waited so the waiter can come back and ask me what else would I like but nothing. My hubby called one of the manager (no sure) and tell the situation to her and she got my order. Wait like 10 minutes to get something I can make at home, the ice cream royale was nothing special also, you can make it at home and it will be 10x better or just go to Gelottis, I was dissatisfied, disappointed, and I wanted to go home and never came back here. I didnt know what was going on, everyone who got there after us were getting served, their food were out in few minutes but us got really bad, crappy service. I think everyone noticed that because we were the only ones seating in the middle of the room, others one were seated on the booths and the wall. And to get the check was another journey, we just went directly to the cashier and told her what we ate, where we were seated but no apologize we received. I am never coming back there. So disappointed, so dissatisfied, it was a circus and we were the main attraction.

I used to go to Tic Tock years ago and always had a great experience. I chose to try it again after about 10 years. I brought my 2 teenagers and one of their friends for lunch. We were seated quickly and given water right away. The waitress was nice and the booth was clean. Then the food came. The spinach & avocado app was more like soup and served with store bought stale chips. The disco fries had little gravy and the Mozz was hard instead of melted. Then our main dishes came. One of the kids got a buffalo chicken wrap. The Blue cheese crumbles smelled and tastes sour and bad. When we told the waitress she apologized & said she would tell the cook. Anther kid got chsbrgr that was raw instead of medium. We struggled through and I shared my cold chicken salad platter. The brownie for dessert was smothered with horrible "chocolate" sauce and dry as cardboard. The bill was $75 and I left $13. (it wasnt the waitress fault). When I went to pay, I again told the person at the register about the blue cheese, the raw burger & the dessert. She apologized and said she would tell the chef. Gee thanks! Not a thing said about reducing the bill or even taking the charge off for uneaten food. (we left whole sandwiches on the table after alerting the server). So not only will I not be back (probably for another 10 years) BUT I would encourage others to speak up and ask for what you want. Obviously I should have done that when I was there. Lesson learned.
