BYOB BYOB BYOB BYOB BYOB Why is this not front and center for any description or review? Lovely old hotel dining room ambience (which unfortunately is more formal and more stuffy than what we were looking for, too many reviews said casual atmosphere!); excellent knowledgeable and attentive server; very good food if somewhat conservative food at a fantastic value because we accidentally arrived early and so were in time for the prix fixe menu. But we didnt know, until our server told us, that there was no bar, and we didnt know until after we went home that we had had the option to bring our own wine rather than drink the dreck that they distribute for a local NJ vineyard. The dreadful rose and the grapejuicy bordeaux very significantly detracted from an otherwise very good dinner that was supposed to be a special occasion.

I went to Union Park Rest. with my boyfriend on a romantic getaway, and while our lodgings at our Cape May b and b werent up to par, a night at this restaurant made the entire trip worth it! EVERYTHING, from the appetizer mixed greens salad to our entrees (filet mignon and a baked chicken dish) to the dessert (creme brulee) was absolutely delicious and gorgeously presented. The ambiance was elegant, perfect for a date (We did notice that it appeals to the older crowd, but probably because thats the kind of tourists that go to Cape May). Prices were comparable to a nice family dining restaurant in NYC, so we thought it was affordable. We LOVED it!! We absolutely suggest dining there!

Union Park is one of the few, consistently good, fine dining restaurants left in Cape May. Weather permitting, dine on the porch. Inside, the dining rooms offer you relaxed sophistication. Service is strong, enhanced by longtime servers such as Ron and Shirley. The menu is delightfully creative while accessable to all. The food is fresh, well prepared and served with interesting, complimenting sides. The oysters were fresh, delicious and local. A dry aged ribeye outstanding on its own, sat on a beautifully prepared sauce. Seafood dishes are also cooked to perfection and are thoughtfully constructed. I will look forward to the next visit. Give it a try.

We had our wedding dinner at Union Park last week and it was fantastic!! Bob was so accommodating and willing to help with anything I asked. He made the day so much easier. Prior to the wedding he was always available to answer any question I had. The staff that worked with us that night was excellent and very helpful. And the food!!!! What a fantastic meal we all had!!! Everyone is still and will be for a long time raving about the meal!! One of the best ever!!! We will without a doubt eat here the next time we are in Cape May. Thanks to everyone at the Union Park Restaurant for making our day so wonderful.

Was very disappointed with the quality of food. I expected for the prices to be really high but not for the low quality of food. The menu selection was very minimal and so we ended up ordering most of the appetizers to try and then the main meals. We almost asked for the check after trying the appetizers. Many didnt taste right or had no taste. The service wasnt that great either. The waiters kept poring tap water into our glasses with bottle water or with liquor. The plates we had to ask for. Have no idea how people rate this place anything higher than a 3 star.

We know that Pats and Genos in Philly are great but in New Jersey, the White House Sub Shop is the best! My father turned me on to this place when I was a kid and they had a home in nearby Brigantine. The secret to making these delicious submarine sandwiches is to take out most of the inside white part of the bread. This leaves more room for their fresh meats and vegetables, creating a great hoagie. Their other items are great too - egg and pepper sandwiches, cheese steaks, and the rest. If your in Atlantic City, check out this place for a great meal but come hungry.

Every time we come to Cape May this is on the top of the dining list. atmosphere is amazing and relaxed. Service is spot on. Never feel rushed and the food is amazing. absolutely no messing around with the beet salad here as they do it the way every restaurant should - this is a salad made out of the beets perfectly seasoned - not one of those substitutions where it is a few beets over a bunch of lettuce. If you enjoy beet salad come here!

Where is the rest of my seafood paella? This tasted great, but dont bring a big appetite to the table for this one, because you will leave hungry. Plus it was $36 or so. Overpriced. The Kobe burger was very good. Ordered medium and it came out medium. Good job. Restaurant is very nice, clean, comfortable, and updated. Food tasty. Because of price and quantity of food I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

One of the best in Cape May. Been there many times. Elegant, comfortable, spacious dining room with comfortable chairs, good distance between tables, very good service, and creative menu. Never fails to deliver. Wine decanters available. Two dining rooms including the cozy library with fireplace. Can accomodate large parties and is family friendly. Great for couples too.

A Cape May must! Local place in the Macomber Hotel with a casual atmosphere that serves fine dining food. Dont disregard some of the local wines as they will really surprise you. The service is top notch and the food matches the friendly staff and attractive decor. For the money and quality for dinner in Cape May, this is one of the best places you can pick. A must go!

We eat here every time we come to Cape May, and find a strong basic menu well-prepared. Often venison is on the menu, cooked to perfection. They have excellent duck, and we have yet to have a poor choice from the menu. Only in their desserts do they falter somewhat-- they are somewhat routine. Parking is metered on-the-street, but it is a walkable location from most B&Bs.

My daughter and I go to the Union park every year to celebrate her birthday, and its always a wonderful experience! From the great staff to the beautiful ambience with a view of the ocean and the excellent cuisine that is pictured perfect on your plate and melts in your mouth! This restaurant is Hands-down the best place to eat in South Jersey!

Ate here over Memorial Day weekend. Menu was imaginative, but perhaps too ambitious for kitchen staff. Nice dining room, well spaced tables, attentive service. No liquor license, but you can bring your own wine. There was a mistake in our order, but this was corrected very quickly and graciously. Overall a positive experience.

This was our best meal in Cape May on our Christmas getaway. We sat across from fire place and the food was amazing, so flavorful and voted one of the top 100 restaurants in the US. I will definitely come back to this restaurant when I come back in November 2017.

Went there with my GF. It happened to be restaurant week. VERY nice dining room, great service and food. When the plate came out, I thought the portions were a bit small. WRONGO.. Im a big eater but there was more than enough and the food was delicious.
