Would not recommend this restaurant to any family and friends. Went with my family this on a Saturday night. The restaurant was crowded and we were informed there would be a 45 minute wait. We decided to wait for an open table, because we have received many recommendations to try this restaurant. We were seated and our waiter took our initial orders. We were seated 10 minutes before two separate parties (both families the same size as our party). We received our drinks/apps and placed our dinner order. I ordered the Steak and Bake (Sirloin and Crap cake). I ordered my steak to be rare and asked for a refill of water. 30 minutes later we received our food and I finally received my water refill. Our waiter did not check on our table ONCE the entire dinner. If he had, he would realize that my steak was cooked well done and not rare! My wife insisted that I not a big deal about this and try and enjoy our meal. I agreed with my wife, but found it difficult as I watched our waiter continuously check on the parties that arrived after us! Those parties were feed, asked if they wanted desert, received their check and left before our waiter stopped by our table. Eventually enough time went by that the hostess pulled the waiter aside and told him to see how we were doing. We politely paid our check and left. I will NEVER return to this restaurant! Horrible service!!!!!!!

We waited an extremely long time for our appetizer and meal, crab cakes on a bun, to be served. We had a small child with us. If it was not for an exceptionally well behaved child our time could have been extremely uncomfortable. The hostess noted how well behaved the child was while waiting for the order. Would you not think the restaurant personnel would recognize this party was waiting too long. Our French fries order was served with appetizers not with the meal. I asked for crab cake buns to be toasted. They were not. When asked why buns were not toasted. Waiter apologized stating they all should be toasted. The menu said nothing about toasted buns. This was a special request. Water glasses were not filled when empty and waiter was always out of sight. There were only seven tables including our table in the restaurant. It was not a busy time. There were at least three servers on duty. We were in the restaurant between 2 pm to 4 pm for our meal again an appetizer, crab cakes and French fries. Even when the checked was picked up with our credit cards the waiter disappeared again for a extremely lengthy time.

We have eaten here several times. This particular time was a last minute decision as it was a while since we visited. Arrived just before 6PM. Not busy. We were seated right away. We sat and sat and sat before anyone approached our table. A waiter came by "not my area, I dont know where your server is but Ill get you started with drinks" he goes to front podium. We are stared at by staff. Waitress comes over. I hear youve been waiting a long time. Sorry about that. Did someone take your order. No, We said. Ok Ill do it. We told her the other waiter was getting our drinks. We ordered apps and dinner. Salad arrived before apps and drinks. He forgot about the drinks, she had to track that down. Apps come, two seconds later dinner arrives. Wrong drinks come. The fish and chips was awful. The chips appeared to be old and refried. They could not be eaten. The flounder was dry. "Would you like to see the dessert menu?" god no, check please. Im not one to complain or write reviews. Maybe just a bad night, but this is no longer our go to place.

When they say Famous Crab cakes they mean it . I had the crab cake sandwich it lived up to the hype! It was full of lump crab and tasty. It was a nice size plump cake. You can have it fried or broiled . I had it broiled. ... On the flip side my wife had the half sandwich and soup for $9.99 . That was a different story. The sandwich was one piece of turkey, lettuce and tomato. With a little avacado spread . The soup was ok not great. We had the seafood sampler appetizer for $12.99. It tasted great but the portions were small we had two big shrimp, two small stuff clams and two small bacon wrapped scallops. Not worth it . The service was slow very slow . We waited 15 mins for drinks. I dont blame the waiter I think he and others were understaffed, way understaffed. He was very nice I wouldnt blame him . Otherwise I would have given five stars.

Coming here was an over all bad experience. We had to change our appetizer choice because they were out of clams. We also had to change the babies order because they were out of mac and cheese. My table mates were done eating before I got my side of mayo, the babies side of applesauce and my new drink since the hot chocolate I ordered was basically water. We felt like we packed our lunch because we were given bags of chips instead of the option of fries. Our waitress hung out in the kitchen so it took us ten to fifteen minutes to wait for out check so we could get out of here. Not to mention they charge extra to bring you your alcoholic beverages ten feet to your table. P.s "Mexican Soda" is just a normal bottle of Coca-Cola that they charge you $2.75 for.

We came here last-second while in vacation, and it was quite enjoyable. It was a Sunday, and I got the all-you-can-eat wing special. They were small-ish, but extremely tasty. I am from Buffalo, and normally outside of Buffalo/Rochester, you dont get the same smoky-peppery taste in the wing skin. They had that here. Very good. Girlfriend loves French onion soup, and here it is "prime rib French onion," which I guess means they add steak juices to the soup. She said it was great. Take the review for what it is - we didnt sample a variety of menu items, and weve been just once. But, the waiter was super-attentive and the atmosphere was loud enough that our baby didnt bother other people, but not so loud to be overbearing.

Absolutely has gone down hill. The menu changes and the service are not consistent and are lackluster. I was there on a Friday night. We waited 30 minutes for wings as our appetizer. They never came. The waitress couldnt bring me a glass of water! She approached my table 5 times empty handed. She came back to tell me there were no clams. Then she came back to tell me that it was fine. Then she came back to tell me that they were mistaken and they didnt have the clams after all. It was pitiful. Management did not do much except make the excuse that she was new and said she had service experience. We left. After nearly 15 years of coming here, my family is done.

I have dined at Rio Station often and usually in the evening while the dinning room is open. My misfortune to attempt to get some light late night fare at the Rio when only bar food was available. I and my party found the staff to be less then hospitable and professional, the food was so far from the normal quality offered there that I was surprised it was even served. The wings that are supposedly bragged about by many, were so small and over cooked that we had to take a picture just to show the that this is not a normal occurrence. My hopes are that Rio Station cures the ills of its late night staff and offers a better fare than this last visit.
