It might be ok to go here for the atmosphere but dont go here for the food. Seems reminiscent of the previous place at this location "Moon River". A wonderful location that struggled with identifying itself with good location and "ok" food. PROS: Excellent Location. I can see this place being fantastic on warm summer night... or sunset. Parking was easy and its very close to a beautiful scenery. In the same parking area as Windward beach, Brick, NJ. Goat Salad was pretty good. Service was average. CONS: Halibut and Salmon was not expertly prepared. Was under developed in flavors and seasoning. Fish was clearly pre-frozen and procured from a supermarket. Was dry and had too much salt. Bread served before dinner was supermarket sliced bread with a side of oil. Truly obvious and was a "shaking my head" moment. Cutlery, glasses, plates had evidence of dried food. Clearly from over filling or issues with dishwasher. If youre looking for a place to grab a salad after hanging out at the windward, beach... then this place is probably ok... nothing too much closer... but if your coming here for dinner, have a groupon, doing a "sunset" dinner, then you might want to trying something else. Maybe sometime later ill try this place again but id need to see some changes for sure.

I was looking forward to visiting Reels based on the outstanding reviews I read. Maybe it was an off night for the staff and chefs, but this was an extremely underwhelming experience. The prices are inflated for the quality of the food. The server made errors at several tables including ours. The food could have saved the experience, but it just wasnt good enough. We ordered two appetizers, one was a "special" of shrimp in a cognac sauce. The shrimp were overcooked and lacked any flavor or seasoning. The cognac sauce was at the bottom of the glass that the shrimp were presented in, but again lacked any taste. I then made a mistake by not learning my lesson and ordering the shrimp risotto. Once again the shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. The risotto was far too salty. My wife ordered the scallops entree. She didnt have any complaint other than it wasnt worth the price. I dont think we will be going back.

Very over priced. Service was excellent but food was average. My wife cooks better. No liquor license so its bring your own bottle. Decent view of Marina and okay atmosphere.
