Truly interesting experience. The ambiance was a little stale but I went for the food, not the atmosphere. Almost immediately after we ordered, we were presented with crunchy noodle things. That was the beginning of what I call "The Hop Hing Experience". Almost instantaneously after that, we were served our food, cooked to the cozy temperature of molten lead or a rogue hot pocket. I dont quite remember what we ordered - it all went by so fast - but I will say this: get the pancakes. Believe me... get them. For those who have an unsatiable hunger for Asian food, I would "hop hing" to Hop Hing. From the open sign to he Gobi fish tank, I guarentee you will have a pleasurable experience at the Asian hub of Berkeley Heights.

The egg foo young was delicious however I ordered rice with no onions and it was so loaded with onions so clearly theres a communication error. I ordered fried chicken wings and they had so much oil that the bottom of the bag was actually holding a half of inch of oil Common Sense would tell you to stick some napkins inside the bag so that the oil with drain and the chicken would not be so greasy and I ordered egg drop soup and do not have a spoon to eat it with nor do I have the napkins to wipe my mouth I will never order from here again because this is absolutely unacceptable especially when youre starving at work

my friends order of beef with string beans was supposedly good. my order of szechuan chicken however, was the worst dish of chinese food i have ever eaten. the chicken was not even real. flipsy and pure cartiledge. do not recommend.

The food is very good. I always feel that I have to speed talk when Im ordering on the phone (Its just like a Seinfield episode) or else they would hang up before Im done ordering my food!

Been going there for years. Great Chinese food, excellent sushi lunch. A few tables, fast service. Busy Chinese restaurant with some seating. I only go there at lunchtime, though.
