WARNING - NEVER STAY HERE The DAY FRONT DESK CLERK - FRANK - IS MENTAL PATIENT WEIRDO A REACTIONARY FLIGHTY CON MAN AND LIAR I HAD A SERIOUS ISSUE - WITH DEBIT CARD CHARGES ON A CARD I ONLY USED 3 TIMES - ONCE AT THE IRISH PUB THE 2 DAY CLERKS - REDHEAD and FRANK - DID NOT WANT TO DISCUSS THE OVER CHARGES OR FALSE CHARGES THAT EMPTIED MY ACCOUNT - LEAVING ME WITH NO MONEY ALSO - THE MAID or ROOM SERVICE - LEFT MY DOOR OPEN FOR 2 to 3 DAYS 2 DAYS BEFORE I LEFT - UNDER BAD CIRCUMSTANCES - I FOUND MY JACKET POCKET OPEN with MY FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS - RELATED TO 2 DEBIT CHARGES - JUST ISSUED TO ME I DIDNT THINK I COULD GET A DESKTOP COMPUTER TO REVIEW THE CHARGES NOR A CUSTOMER SUPPORT PERSON ON THE PHONE I WANTED TILL I GOT A CHANCE TO DOWNLOAD THE SMARTPHONE APPS - FOR THE 2 DIFFERENT DEBIT CARDS ON SUNDAY, I TRIED TO REVIEW THE CHARGES WITH FRANK WHO BECAME VERY EXICTABLE AND DIFFICULT CLAIMING I USED 1 FOR - 3 DAYS IN A ROW for THE CHARGES UNTRUE 1 DAY was PAID CASH 1 DAY for 30 DOLLARS was done the 2nd Day 3 DAYS for 30 and 1 DAY for 50 was CHARGED TO A DIFFERENT CHARGE THE FIRST CARD - SHOULD HAVE HAD A BALANCE of 75 to 175 - DEPENDING ON MY RECOLLECTION BUT FRANK A NUT SAID "I HAD A ENOUGH OF YOU" AND CALLED POLICE - :LYING - SEND A SQUAD CAR - I HAVE UNRULY GUEST AN OFFICER RUSSO - ACPD - SHOULD UP and ILLEGALLY EVICTED ME and HAD ME - REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES - ALTHOUGH I HAD THE REST OF THE NIGHT - AS A GUEST with 1 BONUS FREE DAY I EXPLAINED THAT THIS WAS A FRONT DESK BILL DISPUTE and ITS ILLEGAL and RIDICULOUS - HE WAS EVICTING ME FROM THE HOTEL HE DIDNT CARE KEPT STATING THAT I SHOULD PERSUE SMALL CLAIMS, CIVIL COURT and BBB THIS MAN LIED - HAD ME ILLEGALLY EVICTED - TO COVER UP - HIS or HIS ROOM SERVICE / MAIDS - ACTIONS OR IS PARTLY - A REACTIONARY NUTBALL LIAR FLAKE WARNING - NEVER STAY HERE AFTER FINDING OUT MY CARD was HACKED THEY DIDNT EVEN OFFER ME A MEAL - AND THE HOTEL HAS A RESTAURANT BAR or EVEN A FEW DOLLARS for POCKET CHANGE THE HOTEL STAFF IS BUNCH OF WEIRDO FLAKES - ALCOHOLICS or ON THE OTHER TEAM - WEIRDOS if you get my "drift" THE BAR STAFF AND WAITRESSES were NASTY WEIRDOS AND MAYBE ONE OF THE NAZI SPY BUNKERS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD - MOTEL 8 - BOARDING HOUSE ACROSS THE STREET - NAZI ODESSA STREET SPIES - SPY BUNKER - PICILI PUB - ASSASSIN LOUNGE for THE BOARDING HOUSE - NAZI ODESSA - STREET SPIES WARNING - RESORTS to BALLYS - NAZI KILL ZONE I WAS ALMOST KIDNAPPED TWICE - BETWEEN 1:00AM and 5:00AM IN THE PAST 2 YEARS IRISH PUB LOTS OF GERMAN AND MOSTLY RUSSIAN LOOKING PEOPLE - PATRONIZING THE BAR THE BARTENDERS were JUST EVIL LOOKING DOUCHES THE WAITRESSES were RUDE NASTY BITCHES NEVER GO TO THE IRISH PUB - FAKE IRISH BAR and THE SHINING HOTEL or ATLANTIC CITY ALSO - NO COFFEE - NO AIR CONDITIONERS - WEIRDO DESERTED DANGEROUS NEIGHBORHOOD - NEAR THE "KILLER" 7 ELEVEN of PACIFIC - - CANT GO NEAR THE PLACE - KILLER BUMS - EVERYWHERE - ALL DAY

My son and I stopped in Memorial Day evening for a few beers and some food, after having been to a show at Harrahs. However, even though the bar was only 2/3 full the 3 bartenders were more interested in eating chicken wings behind the cash register than taking care of new patrons. We sat quietly at the bar(4 empty seats next to us) while the 3 of them kept eating wings and occasionally refilling beers. They went past us about 5 times and just ignored us. Never once did they say ," be with you in a few minutes when finished eating my chicken wings". After about 7 minutes of being ignored, I said to one bartender as he was refilling a draught beer near me"this would be a good place to open up a bar" and was ignored! The next bartender who started filling a beer glass I leaned over and repeated the phrase. He said something to another bartender at the register who came over and asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered 2 draught beers. While he was filling the glasses another bartender seeing us sitting there with no drinks came over and asked were we being served. I replied "finally". Then the first bartender placed our beers in front of us and said "you know what --Im not servng you and took the beers away. We looked at him in disbelief...after waiting for about 7 minutes to get a beer this man is being rude and then said that he wasnt serving us because I complained! I said "arent we even allowed to make a complaint? "NO" he rudely said. My son said "you must be joking- are you just having a bad day and he in replied "after complaineing you wouldnt like the drinks any way so just leave!!!!" We were dumbfounded!! What a rude, arrogant creep! My son asked his name and he said very slowly and deliberate "Branden" and then spelled it , all the while leering at us. Apparantly that explained why the bar was part empty and no one in the back on the patio. They will need to put 2 people on the boardwalk instead of one to give out vouchers to get customers at this rate. We went on the boardwalk to the Pier and had drinks and dinner at the Trinity Irish Pub. They gave us good service and the food was great and they could hardly believe how we had been treated at the Irish Pub on the avenue. The waitress who was very pleasant gave us free drink vouchers. So it is obvious that the owner of the Irish Pub on St James avenue doesnt worry about making money in this recession by keeping an arrogant, lazy bartender like Branden. ! This is no longer the same Irish Pub with good food and drinks and service I and my family had experienced several years ago!!!

We decided to try this pub. Heard great things about it. First it was confusing on where to enter the building. We went into one door and no one greeted us or asked to seat us. So we went and tried the other door and it was the exit. Went back again to the other door and we asked them about being seated. Finally got seated. Our food was good. Service however was terrible. It took a long time on the food and we had asked for a irish coffee which we had to cancel cause we had finished our food. We all drank water and they put the water in cheap plastic cups. The server never came back for refills and we were already drinking out of smaller cups. Cashing out took forever too. If your in a hurry or need to be somewhere you may want to avoid this place.

Not sure where the previous 4 star rating has come from...maybe they had to many Guinness, but really this is such an insult to the Irish. There is nothing authentic on the menu thats Irish. Infact everything on the menu is not even their own, all from frozen boxes, fish, crab cakes, burgers etc all of which Im sure they got from somewhere like Costco. I got the Special roast beef and mash, disgusting, thinking they must have roasted a joint of fresh beef, found a plate of deli thin sliced beef, the cheapest processed ever and instant mash delivered to our table. Dont waste your time or money please.
