I must say, service there is spotty. We stayed locally and visited regularly for lunch and dinner. We are vegetarian, so we were limited to where we could go. We were new to the region, and it was a familiar brand with salad and pasta, so it was an obvious choice for us. We must have been there at least 30 times. Sometimes, service was great, other times, not so much. The same goes with the food. Sometimes it was fresh, and tasted fantastic, while other times it was watery, and disappointing. Because we visited so frequently, it was difficult to tell which times were the best; but ultimately, I would say lunch was where we got the least appealing food. Some of the servers there are excellent, but ultimately, Im not sure if it is a policy, or what, but they tend to seat people with young children in the back, near the kitchen door. Even if there is empty seating elsewhere, and the back was completely empty, that is where we were regularly seated. Whenever we were seated back there, the only other people would be others with young kids. I noticed a pattern after visiting there 3-4 times. It does seem quite discriminatory, and honestly, it is one of the reasons we no longer eat there when we are in that area. There are some better local places in Portsmouth anyway.

We had an awful experience here yesterday afternoon. We waited an HOUR for our food and our waitress was extremely rude. The table next to us (who came in after us) got their food, and the waitress looked over at us and said, "Oh, dont get excited, this isnt yours." Then laughed. 45 minutes later, we finally got our food and asked to speak to the manager. The waitress told me that because I ordered whole wheat pasta, it took longer. Ive cooked whole wheat pasta at home before and its never taken me an hour. When I told her this, she said, "Well, you just ordered the wrong thing." The manager was unaccommodating as well. While he did take some items off of our bill, he argued with us on the time wed been waiting. He said he looked at the computer and it had been 30 minutes since the order had entered the computer, so wed really only been waiting 30 minutes... forgetting the fact that the waitress probably just didnt enter our order in for awhile after taking it. We told some of our friends about it after and they said the same thing happened to them the last time they came! Something is going on at this place- it used to be good, the staff nice and the service fast. Now its going downhill and we will NOT be coming back here anytime soon.

After our last experience at Olive Garden (horrible) we thought we would give it one more shot. The table next to us was a bunch of employees (on break maybe?) being loud and incredibly inapropriate the entire time, but I was like "eh, they are just kids whatever." and I brushed it off. So we left and got in to the mall parking lot (right next to OG) and realized we left our phone. SO we called and told them and they said "Yep, its right here!" We go back in (not even 5 minutes had passed) and surprise, surprise the lovely employees felt that it would be a good idea to OPEN OUR PHONE and TAKE SELFIES. I wrote to OG fb page and they asked for my email and said they would email me, two days goes by and NOTHING. SO I call the OG in Newington and ask for a manger. I was on hold for over ten minutes so I hung up (this was in the morning, clearly not a "rush" time of day). Promptly called corporate. WHAT A JOKE. Im sorry I just dont think its okay to OPEN someones phone and TAKE SELFIES. WHAT AN INVASION OF PRIVACY! AND THEN-To not even answer the phone or requests for contact via email! Nothing. NEVER AGAIN.

Service was horrible, waited over an hour for a to go order and when I finally got it, all the food was cold. When I initially called to place the to go order, the order take on the phone was rather rude, and not at all friendly. When I came in to pick up the order I was directed to the bar. No one helped me so I went back to the hostess stand only to be told to go back to the bar. Overall very poorly run and the food was awful and cold

The service was slow. I had the all you can eat soup and salad for $6.95. What a good deal. You can mix and match the soup. The minestrone was ok. The chicken and gnocchi was on the thin side but very tasty. The pasts fassou was delicious. The salad had lots of Olives which is surprising. The salad was crisp was had lots of dressing. The breadsticks as always were good. The chicken con broccoli was very good.

At Olive Garden we were well taken care of, ordering Manicotti Formaggio. This after a delicious salad and bread with olive oil. I followed the recommandations of the house and ordered a glass of Straccali Chianti, described as having "soft berry flavors that help bring out the full range flavor of the pasta and sauce." The others choose the eggplant parmegiana.

Good food. Really friendly and courteous atmosphere; greeted professionally right as we walked in. Our waiter was very attentive, polite, and just all around awesome. He and his twin were both very professional; and when asked about being related, had a great humour about their relation as identical twins. Thank you again for such a great experience!!

It was the endless summer of breadsticks!! Atmosphere is great for a date night but casual to bring kids. Great prices and lots of options for kids with the make-your-own pasta- but the Alfredo "isnt as good as moms its still pretty amazing" First time taking my boys there they enjoyed everything about it! Wish there were more stars to give!

The salad is not very interesting, but it is always fresh and that counts for a lot. Unlike most customers, I do not like the bread sticks. Italian bread is supposed to be ultra crispy on the outside and soft as a cloud on the inside. Their Toscana soup is yummy and I love their sausages too.
