We LOVED everything about this place!! It was very clean and beautifully decorated. Previously, we had gone to Parkers Steakhouse if we didnt want to make the drive to Lincoln or Omaha, but they never had ribeyes that were available. They do have great fish, but not SO MUCH steak. My husband loves to grill, so Im a bit spoiled with my steaks. We ordered the ribeye at this restaurant, and it was a little pricey but it was definitely choice meat with no gristle and cooked perfectly. Love love love this place. They also have a huge variety of drinks that we have not been able to get here in town, for example, they carry Stone IPA and have a large list of wines. Our kids ordered pizza and it looked yummy, but I didnt want to give up my steak to try the pizza. LOL

I went in to order the chicken sandwitch and it said it came with a side. So I ordered the macaroni & cheese.... the waitress told me that it would be extra for Mac and it plainly says on the menu to choose a side... and Mac is on the sides to choose from. If you have to pay extra for a side then you need to change your menu... I ended up not eating after that debate. My husband ate, he said food was okay and he was happy. But we had to wait a good 10-15 minutes for our waitress to come and give us our ticket so we could leave. (It wasnt even busy) After all that, I am not coming back. Ive never heard of a place charging extra for a side when it plainly says... choose a side.... to go with your sandwitch....

Horrible place to eat. When you walk in the door in the entryway it says please wait to be seated. We waited for almost 10 minutes to be seated and there was no other customers in there. My husband order a Medium Rare steak and received a 1/2 of steak that was well down and the other was Medium rare. The grilled chicken with sauteed mushrooms, onions and Swiss cheese I had wasnt cooked correctly and was tough. The onions were hard. My baked potato was over cooked. We will never go back!

Loved the food and experience! Have been there several times. Thick, delicious, juicy, and perfectly cooked pork chops. Great fish tacos. Candied bacon on my BLT -- surprising, but wonderful. Very family-friendly service; relaxed, rustic atmosphere; and clean establishment. Would definitely recommend giving this little piece of history a shot in Nebraska City. Owners care very much about your opinions.

Went to have a pre-holiday dinner with my mom over the weekend. Its amazing how many places give you medium-rare steak when you order it rare.... Prairie City actually prepares a rare steak properly! Loved it! Had a piece of peanut butter cup cheesecake for dessert. Was the final straw before falling into a food coma. Great place to eat!

Excellent service and steak was great I like a bit more spices on my food but otherwise it was great they had fresh brewed ice tea which I appreciated We went in and had to wait for 5 minutes to have someone greet us, otherwise the service was great. I would go back and recommended the fresh food

A drink menu would be great, as we didnt know what kind of beers and specialty drinks they offered. I tried ordering a strawberry daiquiri, but the blender was broken. I got a margarita instead and that was pretty good. My steak was ok, but I probably wouldnt order one again.

It was ok. The BBQ Pork was nothing special and i had a huge piece of fat in mine. My girlfriends Steak Philly was super bland and the steak was chewy. I was excited to try this place but it was very mediocre. We may try it again as the burgers we saw looked very good.

Food isnt the greatest, both times Ive gone its been terrible service! Who lets a server on their own after two days ? I ordered a salad, I was the last one to get my food.. Their Alfredo wasnt cooked all the way, and the chicken was burnt. I now refuse to go back!

The food was incredible! Everything was amazing. The spin dip is rich and decadent. The fried sirloin (chizlers?) were phenomenal. The pork chops were great! The house ranch is delicious. A wonderful surprise in little Nebraska City.

No cheese on my cheese burger and on theyre chicken Alfredo it was only noodle. And then said wait theyll bring some sauce for an 15mins later they say theyre out and end up them getting something else...

Food was great, service was quality, the setting was awesome, especially liked the old wooden rolling chairs from the 40s. They were out of a few items on the menu, said they would be updating it soon.

Great service both our waitress and the owner kept checking to make sure the food was to our liking and although there was about a 20 min wait the bbq pulled pork sandwich I got was very filling.

Great pizza and Alfredo. Lemon cheesecake and cheesecake with Oreo crust was amazing. Very smooth and creamy texture. Just the right about of sweetness.
