Was reluctant to go here at first but did as a last resort on the way out of town. Walked in and was kinda iffy Bc of the younger crowd and joked about feeling like we went back in time. But older customers came in later. After our waitress greeted us our opinion changed almost instantly. This place was hands down amazing. I feel bad because I cant remember our waitresses name but she had really long blonde hair. Best server Ive had in a looong time. We got the double bacon cheeseburger with "awesome cheese" (provolone), philly cheese with au zu sauce to dip, a side salad and huckleberry milkshake and a banana shake to go. Side salad was huge. And awesome. Food came out super quick but was obviously freshly made. I cant even emphasize how good it was. If I could give the staff tonight more than 5 stars I definitely would. Happy we made the wrong turn and got lost, found our new favorite place in this area. If youre a review reader like I am, yeah, this place is awesome.

wow I went in on a Friday night with friends I was D.D. treated like 2nd class, I feel, because I am not the right color or size, just a few days ago I went in for dinner and pie food was good, pie no thanks waitress sucks LARGE not sure what her name was she told us Jessica but heard people calling her mouse and the other one tall thin older was not any better guess you have to be someone she knows for her to see you. I travel for a living and rarely am I treated that poorly my friend raves about this place for me 2 trys 2 fails

Shellies Cafe is open 24 hours a day. I really appreciate this. They serve really delicious food. Even after their salad bar closes, you can still get a huge chefs salad that is absolutely scrumptious! The staff are very hospitable. I absolutely love eating at this restaurant! I have always had very pleasant experiences at Shelloes Cafe. A most excellencthat establishment!

This is a great local spot. I come here somewhat often and the food is always great. They serve breakfast all day, which is great for when you want some pancakes for dinner! The highlight here is their amazing pie, it is hands down the best pie in town. you can also order whole pies to take home for holidays or just because and they are conveniently open 24/7.

My friends and I love to go here after getting back from a long car ride or just finishing a football game and its amazing! Their food is the best! (Especially the pie! Have the pie!) and their service is usually incredible! Ive only not had good service once, and Ive been eating here for 6 years.

Great food. Huge proportions. Cheap. Usually open 24/7. Great for that "dammit, everyone else is closing, and these late-working volunteers deserve another meal." And the "Oh crap, its going to be a labor-intensive day starting at dawn, I need lots of good food, and I have no time to prepare it."

Waitress wasnt very friendly. Food was average. Way overpriced for the quality. I paid 9.50 for a burger that was dry and of about the same quality as dennys. Milkshake was 4.75 and was only the size of the glass of water that I was given when I sa down. I wouldnt go back.

I ordered an order to go. When I came and picked it up and didnt tip the waitress, she got all butthurt and pissy at me. She had really long blonde hair. It made me not want to EVER go there again. You dont deserve tips to hand food from the kitchen to me...

My go-to place in Helena. Breakfast all day, pie, and milkshakes, what more do you need? Fast, cheap, and easy and open 24 hours. A classic, no-nonsense American diner. Try the huckleberry milkshake for something uniquely Montana.

Its a dive bar thats open 24/7. If you want breakfast at 0300 AM? Theyre open. Friendly atmosphere, courteous staff, and the prices aint too bad. Its food when you need a fix for eggs and bacon with toast. You wont leave disappointed.

"HOLY COW" is right. The best iv had from a 24 hour restaurant, ever. Outstanding. I couldnt decide between two cream pies so I got both and holy cow am I glad I did! Both were gone in seconds. Beyond delicious.

Pie was awful, Im super sorry to say :-( I could have made one of these at home with a ready-made pie crust, cherry filling from a can and jello pudding :-( and the cost would have been about the same...

The fingersteaks were raw, took 30 min for us to even order, then raw, then issue with price of what a previous server charged us and said it to us like we did something. .......very disappointing! !!

I had the salmon steak it was cooked to perfection and then I had the peanut butter cream pie for dessert and oh my wow!!!! Its the best Ive ever had. and I drive 48 states thanks for the great food

This is a great place to stop. It doesnt matter if you are in jeans and flannel, or expensive threads, you are made to feel welcome. The staff is wonderful and the food is awesome.
