Stuffed Crepe with Strawberries, Creme &… Onions???!! Worst Dining Ever Experienced. Would not even give 1 star if I had the option. Came in for lunch as a party of 9 and from the get go had a disappointing experience. Firstly the food took a very long time to come out. Understandable to wait longer with a large group, but this was exceptionally long. Food came out with many mistakes, waitress taking notice of one item being wrong and sending it back herself, having to actually serve our own food from the servers tray as it was left abandoned and not served. One entree came out completely wrong but was listed on the ticket correctly, broccoli was completely raw and cold on another meal, one didnt receive their toast that was included, meals were all cold as if theyve been sitting in the kitchen for a good amount of time, which explains the long wait, my eggs were the wrong type of style and tasted like they were bathed in butter, the portions and presentation were dreadful and quite depressed looking, and the kicker was half finished with my strawberry crepe was finding not one but two large sized onions inside the crepe! Not blaming the server for these food mishaps, she was very apologetic and was sending a manager over to take care of our issues. Manager didnt show up until about 10 minutes later with the demeanor and attitude of "I could care less about you" and telling us she would "discount" some of our items. Discount disbelief, how about a complete comp! Manager taking care of us was not even close to discounting us appropriately as she gave me a Senior Citizen discount for my onion stuffed crepe, a $3 discount for a completely wrong meal and a $6 dollar discount for raw and cold broccoli. Where in the hell do these figures make sense?!?! Wanting to contact a general manager to express our concerns of the manager on duties terrible attitude and choice of solutions to these issues there is NO contact information. Needless to say 9 patrons will never dine at this Village Inn again!

Came in to celebrate my little sister getting an honorable mention in her art show, and unfortunately was extremely displeased with our visit.. waiter Trent showed us to our seat without any greeting.. then once we arrived to our table pointed and said " K sit ". He then very impolitely said " drinks ".. instead of asking if wed like a beverage to start with, or maybe letting us know what was available. We then heard Trent complaining to another waitress about getting a " four top " ( I assume relating to a table seating four ) loud enough for us and the newly arrived guests to hear.. If it wasnt for Alexis taking over as our waitress, my family and I would have walked out. Alexis was friendly and apologetic, and was continuously attentive to our needs.. Unfortunately on our way out Trent was our cashier.. he asked not how our meal was, but how our server was implying he knew we had complained. As we were walking out he threw his pen on the counter and very rudely said " Have a good night. " Due to Trents behavior we will no longer be dining in this location.. or most likely Village Inn again. Thank you Alexis for being the only positive part of our visit.

Before I wrote this review I really tried to put my finger on what was wrong here and I got it! While some parts of the world moves forward with newer and better things to satisfy people as we advance, there are some restaurants that are still stuck in an past eras. I would call the Village Inn a 50s type of era where everything is made from a can or a bagged mix and the cook is ordered to make it look just like the picture, never mind the taste because in that era people were just happy to get out of the house and not have to cook themselves. Sadly, they charge new bloated prices for their 50s food. I say sadly, because if they charged those 50s prices I might go back just to fill the hole with their tasteless, underwhelming, food. I went to the Ogden location but am sure that it is pretty much the same looking at other reviews. If you dont have taste buds or you just love that casserole era then this restaurant will be fine. Me I like to spend my hard earned money with the restaurants that continue to grow with the new world.

I waited to be seated, and 2 or 3 people were in front of me, seated with no problem... When it was my turn, the manager Teresa, leaned on the podium and said.. " you can only sit, if your eating "..... WHAT!!! What kind of service is that?? She was the RUDEST manager i EVER came across. While i waited for my food, i watched 2 other tables of people leave becouse of things i could over hear her saying to them. Ive seriously never heard a manager talk like that to a customer. When i left, she basically told me not to come back, apparently, i didnt spend enough money for her, becouse i just wanted a piece of pie, and some coffee... YOU GOT IT LADY... IHOP DOWN THE STREET NOW HAS ALL MY BUSINESS....

Horrible! The breakfast was terrible. Rotten creamer for the coffee. Ordered eggs benedict and the eggs were wayyyyy under cooked. My sausage came out cold. The service is always terrible. Items forgotten. Manager makes up excuses and blames the supplier for expired food. My husband and I both have sour stomachs after eating there. Every time the food and service is just TERRIBLE! That was our LAST visit. This establishment is now on the boycott list. Dont eat at this Village Inn.

We were the only two of four other people in the restaurant. Took 10 minutes to get drink order. When my ice tea came it looked like it was made from dish water. Staff just stayed in kitchen most of the time (hiding). Ordered cheese burger and fries. Barely any fries. Burger might have been 1/8 lbs. About the size of a breakfast sausage patty. One slice of tomato little bigger than 50 cent piece. And wilted lettuce. 5pm. Just awful! !!!!!

Terrible service, the waitress hid in the back, ignored us, while we waited patiently for water refills. Our meals were small, cold, mealy portions that looked nothing like the pictures, which you expect from McDonalds. No matter what Village Inn Ive been to, it seems slow and lackluster service is their calling card. Food was mediocre, and overpriced. In hindsight, I wish we would have gone to the IHOP on the other side of the freeway.

Right off the back was greeted with a smile and was told I will be seated right away. The server was super friendly and had a smile the whole time we were there. Felt very welcoming and she brought us out everything we needed right in the beginning, with out having to ask for it. Food was delicious and hot. Will definitely stop here again next time we travel this way.

Great food! But Kelly, the manager, is terrible!!! She was very rude to her employees, especially back in the kitchen. It made the dining experience very miserable knowing how rude she was and how miserable all the employees were. The servers did a pretty good job at faking it though, but no wonder why they are always hiring. I will never eat at this location again,
