I understand that barbecue is a tricky thing to do on a large scale, and there are times when a barbecue restaurant may need to serve meat that was cooked several hours ago and has just been kept warm since. Perhaps that was the case during my recent visit, but the brisket was very dry and somewhat tough. The only part of the meat that had any smoke flavor was the tiny little chunk of fat at one end of the meat. The pulled pork had no smoke flavor or bark mixed in. The okra was freshly fried and very good. The cole slaw seemed like it just came from a grocery store. Servings were generous. I didnt care for any of the available sauces, but that is very subjective, so others may really like them. Not bad BBQ, but definitely not great BBQ.

This is one of the reasons I come to Bozeman. This BBQ is worth the 100 mile drive! I have been here many, many times over the past 5 summer seasons and always left completely full and satisfied. Love the Brisket and the Pulled Pork and I enjoy the variety of sauces. With the exception of the Pulled Pork, this is smoked BBQ meats so you add the sauce of your choice. The sides are all really great! I, too, really like the okra and the fried green tomatoes! Really enjoyed meeting Carl this year! Service with a smile and even a laugh! Who could ask for more?

This was probably the best complete meal Ive had in a long time, and the best BBQ Ive had outside of Salt Lick in Austin. The appetizer (fried green tomatoes), meal (twice-smoked ham), and side (jalapeno cheddar grits) were all excellent; even the pickles on the side were delicious and unique. Not to mention, the amount of food you get for your money is hard to find elsewhere. Oh, and it is also conveniently on the way to the airport from Bozeman. I will absolutely be visiting Bar 3 at least once on my next trip to Yellowstone or Big Sky!

Im from Ohio and to say wings is staple of my diet is an understatement. My friends and I probably ate wings once a week from ages 16 to 30. Collectively we have probably ate 30 tons of chicken wings. We are probably on some kind of list in the chicken community. All I can say is these are some of the best wings I have had. The meat just falls off the bone and he flavor is great. Every time I come to Bozeman Im coming here for sure. 10/10

Bar 3 is the best. If your looking for the friendliest guys around... get here. Any meal you get is gonna be something to tell your friends about. Its a local secret place to die for. One nite while waiting for some burnt ends the dude behind the counter kept offering me samples. Dude how awesome are these guys!. It is a MUST Visit if your local or pass in thru. Just get there you wont be disappointed.

Every time my husband and I are in Bozeman we go here. I recommend the Burnt ends. Last time I was there I think they must have had a different cook, so it wasnt the perfect meal I remember it being. It was still very good, and my husband really enjoys their pulled pork sandwich. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes BBQ.

The food is always great. We love the burnt ends especially. Lots of food for your money. (We always end up taking food home.) We really appreciate that the meat doesnt come pre-sauced. The sauces are tasty, but honestly, the meat rarely needs them. It is totally flavorful on its own. A Bozeman staple definitely worth checking out.

I wouldnt say it was the worst bbq Ive ever eaten but it was pretty bad. I had the brisket plate with two sides and I couldnt finish it even though I was hungry. The meat was flavorless and tough, the coleslaw had no taste at all, the french fries were good. This is the first time I didnt finish a meal I played for.

Ive had bbq in Houston, and its hard to compete with that, but this place does. I especially love that they have several difference sauce choices. Whether you like spicy, vinegary, sweet, or a combination of the above, theyve got your meat covered.

Amazing Barbecue. Of course Im from Ohio so I might not be an expert, however, its some of the best Ive ever had. Went twice. I wish there was a place like this in Cleveland. (maybe I havent found it yet) : )

Delicious fried okra and I love the beef brisket! Everythings always hot and ready for pickup! I do wish that they would offer their fried green tomatoes without the chipotle in the batter.

We chase bbq all over the country. This is some of the best!! Great bratts and Hoppin John, too. All hand-made sides are excellent. MY fav is a big pile of "Burnt ends", the best of Q !
