The Boathouse needs lots of renovation. It looks like the restaurant is falling apart. The food was subpar and the only feature inviting about this place is its back porch patio area which it needs much renovation as well. I ordered the Cajun chicken wrap and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. For appetizer I got their lobster bisque. For the sides I tried the onion rings and french fries. The onion rings and french fries were good. The lobster bisque was tasty but for the price you do not get very much also it was not served hot. The Philly cheese steak sandwich was unpalatable and left me disappointed. The Cajun chicken wrap likewise was insipid and lacked originality. The service also was horrible the waitress gave me a menu that was full of booze splattered all over it and it looked like someone also sneezed on it. She forgot our lobster bisque she also forgot to give us silverware and she brought burnt chicken strips to my daughter to eat for lunch. The Boathouse is more or less a large bar with live music and entertainment. This is a place where people sip cocktails smoke like chain-smokers and watch the boating on the river. Save yourself a trip and avoid The Boathouse like we avoid tornado storms.

One star is only because it wont let me give zero. We waited over an hour for appetizers and had nothing to drink for over a half hour. Finally I went in to get water. While I understand being busy, I do NOT understand being insulted by the OWNER. Never in my life have I been so disrespected or felt more unwelcome at a restaurant. I will never be returning and I do not suggest this place. Food wasnt worth the wait or horrible and rude service.

Used to be great place , now a diamond in the rough, clueless how to treat people, rude, arrogant... If u arent wasted so they can double charge they dont want ya there...tried to reach to book a party would have been 3000.00 + in revenue...poor customer service, took 3 weeks to get back to me after 8 attempts to reach them...booked elsewhere wont give them the business ( only tried that long for convienence sake)

Fun location right on the river with indoor and outdoor seating. There is often live music which can overpower conversation when seated outside. Food was priced well and was good. Service for our visit was friendly but not really on top of things, several mistakes and forgotten items, messed up the specials, etc. Overall ok place off the beaten path to watch the boats go by.

Food and drink always good Ive seen crabby people on a Saturday night thinking they should get better service when it is crowded buzzy night if they were nice they would be treated better because the owners go out of there way to make people happy if you sit on a beach all day and drink and expect perfect service in a restaurant that is famous you should go to McDonalds

Loved this place! We were looking for something local and authentic to this area. Best choice. They were slammed when we got there but the staff was great and took great care of us. We will not forget you and will make a point to return even if its a 700 mile drive.
