I was so disappointed by my visit. We made a reservation but had no table to sit at, when we tried to move a small $5 Ikea table to set our food and drinks on, we were told we could not. Im not sure exactly what the $30 reservation was for... my body taking up space in the room? A charge for breathing? We did have chairs to sit in but other people did not. The employee/bouncer was hyper-vigilant/borderline rude to my children, who were oblivious, but it rubbed me and my childless friend the wrong way. Three times he firmly and loudly told them to not block the doorway for the cats, even though they were never actively or purposely blocking the doorway- they were standing next to it or crouching down looking in to see if a cat was there. They couldnt have been blocking it for more than 15 seconds before they were being disciplined by the cat bouncer. Both of my kids were scratched by two different cats and then told to watch out for them because they were unfriendly and would scratch...what? A warning would have been nice. My kids were also loudly told not to sit on the aforementioned table twice, no one was ever sitting on it to begin with, just standing next to it. There were other instances that were blocked by my inner rage taking over all of my thoughts. It was so very weird. I dont know if it was a slow work day, a guy on a power trip, a person who has had a bad experience with kids... but man was he an unnecessarily huge bummer. I could not WAIT to leave but like I said my kids were oblivious so I figured wed stay until I finished my coffee and they were sufficiently satiated on cats, but at 2 oclock on the dot Cat Officer Unfriendly was sure to let everyone loudly know that if you had a one oclock reservation, ya had to go. He could not have been ruder. So Im thinking all this in my head but didnt say anything to my friend, so I was pleased when we stepped outside and the first thing she said was what a jerk he had been to my kids. So it wasnt just my mama bearness or whatever its called, Ive never actually experienced anything like it in the seven years Ive been a parent. And before you assume that I have perfect, delicate flower, porcelain doll children who never do anything wrong let me assure you that I dont, and when they do wrong I call them out on it immediately. Im a teacher, I know how to manage kids. And this guy... should not be around kids. Or maybe just kids and cats together. Rant over, I wasnt going to say anything until I got your email asking for a review. While we were there, there were a few other kids but when we were leaving it appeared that a birthday partys worth of kids was coming in. So it might help you business if you learn to know your audience a little better, best of luck. You will not be getting my business again.

Really upset. My husband and I didnt have a reservation so we knew there would be a little wait. We showed up 5 minutes before the doors opened with about 4 other people. None of us had reservations. We got coffee and a scone (very overpriced) and sat down to watch the cats and wait. The guy said it would be about 45 minutes and again, we were okay with that. About 15-20 minutes into our wait he tells us we can go in. THANK GOD, the area was so small and no one knew to make reservations so people were just squishing and pressing their noses up to the glass to look in - its a bit awkward. Anyways, we go in and sit down. We are told we cant leave our food or drinks unattended so my husband brings our drinks to us. We literally had just gotten to sit down and pet a cat before the guy came to us and said, "are you two walk -ins?" and we said, "yes" and than he asked us to leave so more walk ins could come in. Same with another two - a mother and daughter. We were in there for TEN MINUTES. No one and nowhere did it say there was a ten minute limit for walk-ins. Our coffee was still burning hot. We are very very disappointed. The mother and daughter said they will not come back again and frankly, we probably wont either. I know theyre new and figuring out the kinks but he was very rude to us. We may as well go to Starbucks and the APA or Humane Society. Very disappointed.

I could not dream up a better place to come after a hard days work to recharge my spirits. I cannot believe places like this exist. My friends and I reserved a spot ahead of time, at 3:15 on a Thursday. We ordered our drinks (a hot, spicy, comforting chai latte in a giant mug, and an iced latte, and Jasmine tea) and some snacks, and made our way into the separate room full of kitties. Natural light pours into the window front shop, as the cats roam free from floor to ceiling. My salmon dip was delicious and the crispy little wonton chips, with plenty to share with my friends. One of my friends had a calico cookie, which was SO GOOD (think toffee/chocolate/oats). There are a lot of very reasonable rules to follow--mostly all common sense, meant to keep the cats safe & happy. We had a great time with the staff, who knows every last cats name, personality and likes/dislikes. The baker and Kitty Bouncer made great company, while making sure that we & the felines were all taken care of. It felt good to come here, for more than just the quiet, cozy space filled with purrs & jelly bean toes--I know the $$ spent here is going to help the fuzzy little babies live a nice life before they are adopted. Needless to say, the 3 of us will be back, with more friends who may be in the market for a cuddly new addition to their home. Thanks Mauhaus ❤️

I absolutely love cats and have been so excited to go to the cafe today. My friend and I were standing in line to order and the person at the register looked like she didnt want to be there, which is off putting went you first walk in, they also let someone cut in front of us which was slightly annoying. The cheesecake (kudos to baker was rich and so good!) The lounge with the cats was great. They were all so cute. The most off putting thing about the lounge part was the "host" guy. He was very off putting to both me and my friend. The way he talked about himself like he was so kind of cat god, and bragging about how he got the job. Also myslef and another customer were not happy when he was call one of the cats stupid. Maybe it was just us but if you like cats so much you shouldnt say that. Just my opinion. Also when he asked my friend and I to leave was very rude. He told us that we were well past our hour and that we need to get our stuff and leave. One we didnt know how much time was left and there was no wait til we were ask to leave (which is fine that we had to leave bc of the wait, it was just rude how he said it) After leaving my friend and I agreed that the man was "extra" as he would phrase it. Love the cats though so much! I would have adopt all if I could! Keep up the great work with adoptions!!
