We travel to Festus from Indiana all the time and every time we pass we say next time well stop in for breakfast. Its always packed and with 2 young childeren its hard to go somewhere so busy. Well after about 2 years of next times we finally stopped in and I wish really we stopped in sooner. Its definitely worth the wait (about 10 minutes for a table). The food, service, atmosphere and prices are amazing. Its cute and cozy and we definitely will be back next time we are in town.

I go to The County Cafe quite often! Actually its like three or four times a week, usually for breakfast and their Hearty Platter (#12) is like the best freaking thing! Their Biscuits and Gravy are the best I have ever had! I would recommend this place to EVERYONE!!! Good home country cookin and the waitresses are very friendly! Try it I guarantee you will like it!

The thick potato chips (homefries) were fairly tasty. This cafe uses half-bags when brewing coffee. If you like brown sugar water, mixed with cream, youll find your ambrosia here. Service was ok but when one in our party asked for fresh, unburnt coffee, the waitress decided his was the only cup that deserved to be swapped.

I ate lunch here today. Friendly staff and lots of choices on the menu, but it seems that some ingredients are lacking in quality. My turkey melt was very good, however the cheese tasted cheap and their salads have some room for improvement. Fried mushrooms were great on the side though! Will return again.

The title says it all. Bring a sweater or jacket when you come to the diner as it can be quite chilly in there. The food is consistently great - especially the fried chicken! I and my family eat there all the time and the ladies who own and manage this place really know how to cook. :)

I have been going there since they opened. You cant find a better diner/cafe anywhere. Great food, good portions, friendly staff. I have NEVER had a bad experience there. My only negative comment is that I cant eat there every day, or I would gain 50 pounds in a month!!!!

The food and service was excellent! They serve some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had. The coffee is also very good. I highly recommend coming here. It is even very clean!

Down to home cooking experience! Daily specials include; the biggest CATFISH FILET MEALS -LIVER AND ONIONS- 1/2 COUNTRY FRIED CHICKEN etc. You gotta try it.
