A word before I get into the meat (haha) of this review: The Restaurant SHARES a building with a gas station. It is the same thing when you find a wendys or a subway attached to a gas station. Id bet the owner of one owns the other. Either way, they are two seperate entities and just because something is a "hole in the wall" or attached to a building you wouldnt normally associate with food doesnt mean its a bad place. Get out and live a little; stop hiding behind your preconceived notions about "gas-station food." /rant Alright, so Happy China. First, and youve seen this a lot: The. Best. Crab Rangoon. Springfield has a lot of Chinese restaurants and the only CR that stands head and shoulders above the rest is Happy China. "They are so good, its like Cheesecake!" is one of the many positive exclamations Ive heard from friends. They are that good. Second, though priced a bit above the typical Springfield Chinese restaurant, the portions are generous and you can easily turn a meal into two. Finally, the specialty plates and the combos are quite interesting and different from other Chinese places. My personal favorite is Singapore noodles (Im fairly certain thats what its called). It is angel hair pasta lo-mein with chicken, shrimp, pork, maybe beef if Im remembering correctly, and vegetables all stir fried in a delectable sauce. Try it. If you dont like it, I wont be offended, because thats not going to stop me from eating there.

Dont let the other reviews make you try this place because we did and it was a nightmare!!! We took two bites of our cashew chicken and was so disgusted. We actually had to spit it out it tasted so bad! I called and asked if I could return the 3 uneaten orders and the owner refused. They tried to make me exchange the food for something else. They do not stand behind their product and do not care about their customers. The chicken was extremely chewy and did not taste like chicken. A waste of $15!!!! Update: forty five minutes after I called them they called me back from caller id because I did not leave my name and number. They said they would give me my money back, but they still did not understand why I did not like the food. By this point we had already thrown the food in the trash so let this be a lesson to anyone else who considers eating here. NO! YOU CAN NOT GET GOOD CHINESE FROM A GAS STATION AT LEAST NOT FROM HAPPY CHINA!

Only place to get a mouthgasm! I love this place it is one that was recommended by a friend and have never stopped going. The people that work there are very friendly and give you what you want and how you want. I like my Sesame chicken spicy and I told them "can you make it extra spicy with Cajun peppers" they said absolutely. If you want to taste great quality Chinese food go here. If you dont then something wrong with you. I tried their crab ragoon that everyone loves and I found out why. They are sweet and come with a good tasting sauce. The Lo mein is another item that is very good. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for something different and better than other Chinese restaurants. Prices are reasonably for the quality of the food. 5 STARS!!!!

Awesome take-out! Ive only been in Springfield 3 days, and I have my Chinese food restaurant choice locked in. The $5 lunch special is great for the amount of food you get. For 2 bucks more you get the combination plate, which is about 1.5 times larger. So far Ive tried the Szechuan Beef & the Bourbon Chicken. They also have a great deal of other menu items and specials I havent tried yet (Cut me some slack. Like I said, Ive only been here 3 days!) The decor is pretty much standard, but so what! With food this good and friendly staff, as long as the place is clean (which it is...very) Im sold!

Perhaps the best fast Chinese restaurant in Springfield! It is an amazing value for the money. At lunch, $5.55 (including tax) got me an entree big enough to last two meals plus choice of crab rangoons (excellent), egg roll (hand made), or soup (wonton, egg drop, or hot and spicy). I love the soup option, especially on a cold day. The portions are huge and the hot and sour is practically a meal unto itself. Dinner really isnt that much more expensive and exceeds expectations. This is my go-to for a fast Chinese meal. In fact, I think I might head over there right now!

This place doesnt even deserve 1 star. First off, I want to start off by saying I LOVE all types of food and I am not picky at all. This is the first time I had to question what I was eating. IT WAS NOT CHICKEN. I cut into every piece and it was the same. It was extremely chewy with a horrible taste. I honestly could not decipher what kind of meat it was, but I can tell you it was not all white meat chicken that I ordered. NEVER EAT HERE!!

Fast, affordable, great portions (you definitely wont go hungry), and a HUGE menu. Your food is made when you order it and you can basically watch them do it. Not a lot of seating, and parking is kind of funny as its connected to a gas station, but that doesnt affect the food or service! Theyre within walking distance for me which is just extra sauce for the crab Rangoon!

Ive lived close to this place in two of the houses Ive lived in and loved every minute of it. Their lunch/dinner specials are the best. The portions are fantastic, and the veggies are all fresh. You know its a good place when they have giant woks in the back, and the employees English isnt always the best. This place is fantastic. Highly recommend.

All the complaints Ive seen on here had to do with the chicken. I never get chicken at Chinese places, the shrimp, pork, beef, and whatever else is just better. Ive not had their chicken, but I dont buy Chinese food anywhere else now, this place has without question the best Chinese food I have ever had. Their crab rangoon is worth twice its price.

Wow! All the other reviews were for five stars and it was their only review. I was kind of worried that they were by the restaurant. For a fast food restaurant this was was really good. Great food, good portions and good priced. If you go during lunch the meals are $4.75; $6.75 for dinner. The crab ran-goons are the sweet kind and are full.

We love this place! The owner is the sweetest! My husband and I love the Broccoli with Garlic Sauce and the Hot and Sour Soup! The Crab Rangoons are also delicious! Happy China is one of our go to places for lunch and dinner because they have great veggie options and the food leaves you feeling nourished and satisfied!

We had a lot of fun reading the reviews for this restaurant. We were served hot food, quickly with large portions. The dinners were pretty good. The crab rangoon was excellent. We ordered 3 plates with a side, crab rangoon, soup and four sodas. The total was just over $33. I would happily eat here again.

One of my favorite places to eat in Springfield. Best Crab Ragoon I have ever had. The specials on the white board are some of the best stuff they have. The hostess is super nice and the service is normally real fast especially if you call ahead. I strongly recommend you give this place a shot.
