TL;DR: Good tasting coffee, plenty of space, and a good atmosphere to socialize or get work done while enjoying some coffee or pastries. I visited on a Saturday at noon and the store was pretty busy, but likely busier because it was a rainy day. Regardless, there was still plenty of space inside. Electrical outlets line the outer walls of the shop and tables in the center also have plug-ins, making it a great place to work. The shop is fairly noisy (audible music, sounds of the workers making coffee, people chatting), but I prefer a louder and livelier coffee shop, so I enjoyed it. I had the "Crunched for Time," a white chocolate macadamia nut latte, which was tasty and a good energy boost. I have also had the Nitro Espresso before, which was good but not amazing. The Strawberry-Banana smoothie was also good. Prices were typical of most coffee shops. See the picture attached for a shot of the menu. Overall, Id recommend giving it a shot if you need some coffee or need a place to get some work done or hang out with friends or a date.

This is the single greatest cafe Ive ever been to. First of all, the beans are fantastic and roasted daily at their local roasterie. The atmosphere is a great mix of a neighborhood place and contemporary cafe. The staff is very friendly and helpful and not at all condescending. What I liked most is that they offer several different types of brewing methods so you can try out how you like your coffee brewed. I would highly recommend the clover machine. It is the best coffee Ive ever tasted and well worth the slight premium on a cup. The company that makes the clover brewer was bought by starbucks and will only be used exclusively in their cafes in the near future, so this is one of the few non-starbucks cafes around the entire world where you can sample this brewing method with better beans than starbucks.

If youre a coffee junkie this is the place for you, but be prepared for a little higher price. The Roasterie only specializes in the highest qualities of coffee that also benefits the local farmers of South and Central America.....the quality is worth the price. Great atmosphere to study for students as well. Two locations in KC in Leawood and Brookside. I recommend trying the chocolate raspberry croissants.

Great coffee shop to meet with friends or camp out to study. Plenty of outdoor seating, indoor tables and bar-style benches. There are power outlets everywhere and free Wifi. Their coffee is just shy of gourmet, however, they do offer student discounts. The new remodel changed the atmosphere significantly. It offers more convenient seating but sacrificed some of the warmth. Still one of KCs best coffee shops!

Fun atmosphere, nice baristas, and a great place to study. Their drip coffee is quite good, and even later at night does not taste burnt or acrid. That said, even with good espresso, the latte I had was "meh", with overly aerated milk instead of a nice smooth microfoam. Overall I enjoyed my visit and will have to come again and update my review in case the barista was just having a bad day.

Went for espresso, excited to try one of KCs best recommended cafes. Ordered an Americano, girlfriend got a latte. No other way of saying it, very disappointed. Id have thrown those shots out if Id made them at home. Baristas were friendly though, and sent me out the door with a mediocre cup of drip coffee. I wasnt going to try my luck again...

Stopped by here on a road trip before leaving KC. There were quite a few breakfast options available, and all the caffeine possibilities you could want, with lots of different roasts and beans for the picking (including fair/direct trade). I had a pourover with India Temple Mountain beans, and it was dark, smooth, and satisfying.

Have gotten to stop in twice and got some specialty coffee (chocolate) each time and it was the smoothest coffee I ever drank. On a nice day you can buy a cup and walk around Brookside. I only wish I lived closer so I could be a regular. Excellent coffee! Parking can be hard to find... but worth it.

I had to go to KC on business. Everyone told me to go try the Roasterie. I was not disappointed. It ranks as one of the best coffee roasters I have ever tasted. If life ever takes me back there, Ill go hang out again and try as many types as the Baristas will make me. You wont be disappointed

Had a great experience. Eric and his exceptional service made it possible. After my order mistake, he provided the drink (single origin espresso) I really wanted and cleaned and heated my to-go mug for reserve pour over coffee that I ordered. Well done.

Decent coffee. Tons of places to plug a laptop in. The baristas that stay will learn your name if you are a regular, but they do have a pretty high turnover rate. It feels about half-way between a Starbucks and a local high-end coffee shop.

Been here twice now and I still love the atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and there is plenty of room both indoors and outdoors. The only sad part is the noise which is partly due to summer vacation for youngsters.

Best coffee ever. My ma macchiatos are always perfect. Theyre baked goods are not extremely tasty but what they lack in that they make up for in quality service, a welcoming environment, and the best coffee ever!

I had a small latte with 2 shots of espresso and it was pretty dang good. Their coffee does not overpower your mouth but its a good classic coffee. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kansas City.

Had the crunch and a chocolate scone. Plenty of seating and plugs. Outdoor seating too. Parking in front or a small lot in back. Just as good as the other locations. Good service and very helpful.

An awesome and very Kansas City coffee roaster. Has always been what I encourage visitors to try out. They also partner with a lot of other local businesses and make some great partnerships.

Great location and very friendly staff. They recently started serving nitro cold brew on tap, and it is delicious (compare to Alchemy coffees nitro brew, but without the vanilla).

This is one of the best coffee shops in the Kansas City area. Free wi-fi, comfortable atmosphere and excellent coffee. They roast their own coffee here in Kansas City.

Love this cafe; there is nothing better than sitting outside on the patio in the fall. Also, their mochas are made with Shatto chocolate milk which is delicious.

Good coffee! Also, I think this is the latest open spot in KC. So If you need to grab a bite or some coffee after a show, this place has the right vibe!

I tend to find all the Roasteries very similar and all of equal quality. I definitely enjoy getting coffee from here and like the selection of pastries.
