The BLT was great--double decker, with cheese on one layer and the BLT part on another. The bacon was a bit greasy, but cmon--its bacon. The cookies were all right, but I was a little disappointed in the cupcakes. They had too much frosting (and I *love* frosting), and the fillings were a bit...off. The Chunky Monkey, for example, should have been glorious--peanut butter and bananas pretty unbeatable as a combination--but the peanut butter filling tasted strangely artificial, the frosting didnt complement the banana or the PB, and the whole thing just didnt gel the way it needed to. The cupcake itself was pretty moist, but after the disastrous frosting/filling/flavor clashes, I didnt even finish it. And I am a huge sugarphile who loves cupcakes. Still, its a lovely place in a great location with very good sandwiches. I dont know that Id go out of my way to go there, but if Im in the neighborhood for something else, I would definitely stop by. The service was perfectly adequate--not bad, not outstanding. I think I caught them right after lunch rush, too, so I think everyone was a little wiped out. The fourth star was due to the fact that the place exudes a sense of community, which is hard to do in a strip mall. Everyone who came in seemed to know everyone else, and there was a table of four women playing some kind of game, laughing, eating, and having a great time. Huge props to the place for putting out that kind of vibe!

My wife and I thought this would be a cute little place to go relax for a bit. The store itself is attractive, and the pastries look delicious. The experience went downhill when we got to the counter. The girl working the register was surprisingly rude. She essentially mocked me for choosing one of the low fat options. We paid and took a seat outside, as it was quite a nice day. My second bite into my food was met with a long, black hair. I took it back inside and told one of the managers what happened. She offered another pastry or a refund. I wasnt adventurous to try something else, so I took the refund, though I was surprised I wasnt offered a coupon for a future visit. When the cashier who checked me out saw me I was met with a "See, I told you that you wouldnt like it." To which I replied that I didnt know it came with hair inside. I suppose Im glad they didnt offer me some sort of coupon for future use because now I have no reason to return. It certainly ruined our little afternoon date. I can forgive the occasional mistake in food prep, but rude service ruined the experience. Service is what one would expect a small, local store to nail, but that is not the case with Pastries of Denmark.

My husband and I eat at Pastries of Denmark frequently and we love it. We always order soup, for $5.75 you can get soup in a bread bowl (though I always request my soup in a dish on the side) with a roll and some treat from their bakery. They serve clam chowder every day and it is excellent. The soup of the day has always been good. I have also bought cupcakes from the cupcake bar. My favorite is French Vanilla and Strawberry. The cupcakes are bigger than Cupcakery but less expensive than Jillys. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Sylvia is wonderful. I recommend Pastries of Denmark to everyone.

Poor customer service! I purchased a Groupon only to find out, you must purchase 4 meals in order to use it. I originally purchased 2 meals and after sitting down thinking about it, decided I would purchase 2 additional meals for my co-workers so that I could use the Groupon. I asked for the manager and was still told No. Finally, I asked for a full refund ($30), which they were happy to oblige. I thought the whole point of Groupon is to bring in business. Instead of helping me, they were happy to refund my money. I will NEVER go back.

The ONLY good thing at Pastries of Denmark are the croissants. The hot ham & cheese is to die for, because it is served on these croissants. But, nearly every day they run out of them by noon. I’ve asked why they don’t make more, since they are listed on their lunch menu, but I’ve never gotten a straight answer. I’ve tried ordering several other things when they run out, and I’ve never had anything remotely edible. It’s sad.

Their pizzas are to die for. Different from your average pizza, kind of a flat bread pizza but fresh baked with super fresh ingredients. My only complaint is that they run out of them, especially if you show up on Saturday afternoon/evening. Desserts are great too (try chocolate covered carrot cake!) but other food entrees Ive tried have just been mediocre. But the DELICIOUSNESS of the pizza makes up for that.

What a horrible experience!!! Do they have new owners? Seems like this place has gone down hill! The staff was extremely rude. The facility looked dirty. The worst part is that I saw the lady making my sandwich and she touched a dirty rag, then touched my sandwich, and then the sandwich touched the rag. EWWWW gross! The health department needs to be notified about this place! Never going there again!

My friend brought me some of their pastries because I was housebound for a few days. I couldnt wait to ask where shed gotten them, they were that good. Ive been to PofD but its been a while. These were the shops "petit fours" even though they have a cheesecake quality to them. The almond ones were, if only slightly, my favorites. Theyre also beautifully shaped and decorated. ❤️️❤️️❤️️

If youre looking for a lot of food for the money, youve come to right place. Pastries salads and sandwiches are huge. Theyre pricey, but you wont go away hungry. The food is always great and the staff is quick and efficient, though I wouldnt describe them as warm. And, of course, the pastries are fantastic, including the little surprise pastry that comes with every meal. Its a treat.

My husband and I have met periodically for lunch for several years, we love their endless bread bowls of soup. They always come with a delicious desert. The desert is not too much yet just enough. Our children love the cupcakes! When Im looking for a special treat; my favorite desert is the chocolate covered cheesecake.

I love their food but go in knowing the employees are not very nice and are almost rude. The employees are not in the least bit friendly and almost seemed bothered when questions were asked.

They serve the best chicken teryaki, with sour dough, pineapple, sprouts, chicken, tomatoes, which is too good. I personally loved it. The price is reasonable. Their pastries are good as well.

We rotate lunch spots in our office and this is far and away everyones favorite. Great sandwiches, salads and the free desert treat is always fun to try. The fajita chicken is insane!

Very minimal atmosphere, but truly delicious cafe food. I tried a pastry while I was there and I have had better (La Bonne Bouche), but I will certainly return for the main course!
