I am an avid beer drinker so when my friend suggested itap, I was really excited. First thing I did was check out the website which features their tap and bottle list, or so it would seem. I was so excited by a bunch of the selections listed on the website, only to find out when I get there that it was not even close to an up to date list and the 3 beers I really wanted to try were no longer available on tap. Frustrating. Then I order a beer listed on their current tap list, and she said they were out of that one as well. I thought the atmosphere was alright, the music was a bit loud and a weird selection (avril lavigne, apocalyptica, sublime, taylor swift i think), but definitely agree with the chesterfield crowd. One kid came in wearing boat shoes, bright orange shorts, and a mustache and thought he looked good. Douche aside the place was waaaay overpriced as well. $6 for a pint of an american microbrew is absolutely ridiculous. I assume these high prices are to cover the tremendous overhead this place must have, keeping in stock so many beers. But that is the businesss problem and they should find a resolution that doesnt involve charging $14 for a 5 beer sampler (each sample was around 3 oz.). This place would be alright if you want to try one or two beers, but if youre there to make a serious impact on their taps via the samplers and pints, you would do a lot better at other restaurants. No taps, but Id like to hype Old Mill Stream in St. Charles. Generous beers selection, good food (made on site!), and no douches wearing orange shorts...guaranteed!

To first address the naysayers below, when you carry as many beers as ITAP does, a 100% accurate taplist online is a near impossibility. if you follow them on twitter, the individual locations give notice when one keg is blown and what its replaced with. Also, to address the complaint on price, I dont find it high at all. $3-6 per beer when compared to $4-5 for a Bud Light at most other places is not too shabby. When you consider that most of these beers are from Nano and Micro Breweries, as well as overseas, you may realize that $1-2 extra per pour is more than justified. To actually review the place, I recommend it 100%. The staff is knowledgable, friendly, and fun. Dont know what to try? Just ask. With constantly rotating taps and a few steadies, you can always find something new. In addition, the events for special releases (Hopslam, Ale Mucho Hoppo, Goose Island, Perennial Brewing, etc...) are a good way to meet people in the business and mingle with other lovers of brewed beverages. Yes, theres no food. With 40 beers on tap and more waiting in the wings, plus over 400 in bottles and cans, where would you put food? But you can order or bring in from anywhere in the area. Ignore the negative reviews. Try it yourself.

Listen to me. Ive been into craft beers since Anchor Steam was the first non-big3 beer available. Like 30 years or more. Ive sampled the wares from Maine to California and Oregon. There are places that compare or have larger draft selections, but not that many. When I was there a week ago there was Affligem "Noel",dAchouffes "Nice Chouffe", New Holland "Dragons Milk Stout", Charlevilles "Whiskey Scented Santa". And of course 36 others on tap. On Monday "half the taps half off". Beads hang on 1/2 price taps. A 10% Nice Chouffe from Belgium for $3.50? Come on now boys. Well worth the full price. There are other specials during the week. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I was in St. Louis for a vacation and spent the end of every evening there for a week. I met many congenial people and my experience there (along with some memorable meals, some recommended by patrons of ITAP) left me with a very warm regard of the neighborhoods and people in St. Louis. You go there; just dont take anyone who doesnt like "them weird beers".

Wow does this place have a lot of beers. If you only drink Bud Light, this isnt the place. Most of the beer Ive never heard of, but the menu reviews were helpful, and so were the Beer Maidens (Waitresses). The price was good, but it wasnt cheap. I had two draught German beers and it my bill was about the same as you would expect to pay for a domestic draught in a restaurant. Atmosphere is very good - I dont know what another poster was talking about popped collars for. Yes the people dress a little more west county than say downtown, but no one was snotty or obnoxious. Also - I really enjoyed the live music. It was a little on the loud side, but a good singer with a selection of music. I probably would have given this review 5 stars, but my tables waitress came about three times over the two hours my 3-person group was there. Fortunately, another waitress noticed we were being neglected and took care of us. Overall a great experience, and a great place to try some new beers.

For those who have never been here, this place is all about beer, and they have a great selection...probably the best in the city. Food is not served here, nor is there a full bar of liquors or wines. If youre coming here, youre coming for the beer. And thats a good thing, because not only is beer amazing, but youll probably find your tab at the end of the night surprisingly low. The bar staff are friendly and outgoing and always willing to give recommendations. Seating is sufficient even on a busy night, and there is a good outdoor patio to chill on and watch the planes land overhead at the nearby airport. Service is hit or miss, but youll want to head to the bar to order anyway to see what they have on tap. Feel free to ask for samples. Definitely no complaints about this place. I go here often with co-workers and recommend you go too.

Sure they have a lot of beer on tap, but they had the taps mixed up and I got the wrong beer then the bartender argued with me when I suggested this error. I drink a lot of beer, I know the differences. The fluorescent lighting from beer cases makes the inside feel like a 7-11. The music was so loud no one was even in the place-- everyone was on the small, nice patio but there was no waitress. They do not serve their own food and they stop serving food after 10pm-- annoying. The worst though is this place attracts stuck-up Chesterfieldians with their popped-collars and expensive cigars. Blech. Growlers is a better alternative if you want a big beer selection. No, I do not work for Growlers, I just like good beer and good service.

I was very excited when my friends told me about this place. I am not an avid beer drinker, however, I enjoy trying new things. With so many beers in stock it was hard to choose the one I wanted. The bartender gave me several samples and I found one that was perfect! They were out of some of the selection, but when you stock so many insane beers, you cant keep enough stocked to make everyone happy. I get it. So should the other people reviewing this. The inside was nice as well and later when it cooled down, we moved to the patio which was equally as enjoyable. We did have a little issue tracking down our server once in a while, however I work in the service industry so it is to be expected from time to time.
