Jan 2013 I took my daughter and her family to Tupelo Kyoto for her birthday. My wife and I had eaten there several times in the past and have been well pleased. The issue we had this night was the automatic tip added to the bill. I bellieve in leaving tips but do not wish it forced on me. This is not fair and I will not do this again. Even though the food was great and everyone happy, we will not be returning to any Kyoto, since I am assuming this is Kyoto policy everywhere. My granddaughter asked to return in Feb for her birthday and sadly we had to explain the reason we would not.

I have eaten at Kyoto many times. Birthdays, parties, dates with the wife. Many outings in the Tupelo area end up here. We have always had wonderful service, never been forced with any sort of gratuity, no matter how large our party, and never been freezing at any time. Weve come here at opening and at closing. We have eaten when no one was here and when it was super crowded. Overall, every experience has been great, no where near enough to make us not want to return. The food leaves us full and often times leaves enough for a second meal the next day. Overall we love this place!

Service is horrible... hostess was cute but other than that, sushi was what u would find at a grocery store. And the atmosphere and decor sucked...the bar was horrible, not comfortable for customers to sit at. The hostess and another waitress helped me more than my own. Took forever to bring me another drink, and didnt even ask if I needed anything when she finally returned a 2nd time.

The service was OK. Not too fired up about anything. Walked in right at opening and it was freezing.....like in the 50s inside w/fans blowing and stayed cold. My biggest problem is the super small proteins. I got a steak salad, mostly lettuce and a shrimp meal. Both steak and shrimp were microscopic and actually left still hungry. A lot of $ for so little food. Not again, never

I love this place! I prefer raw sushi and Kyoto has the best. Love their salad dressing because it is not flavored mayo! Service and owners are AWESOME!!!! It also clearly states that a gratuity will be added at Hibachi and for large parties!

The teriyaki chicken had no teriyaki on it. The rice was overcooked. The shrimp sauce had too much vinegar in it .Saki was not great at all.I would not go back even if it was free.

Love this place! The service is decent but sometimes even when its early and not very crowded they are a tad slow! The food is awesome though!!

Great food. The hibachi chefs are amazing. The servers are garbage. We waited 19 minutes to get a waitress to take our drink order.

Recently ate here when I was in Tupelo in business. Sushi was great, loved the Kyoto salad with ginger dressing. Fun atmosphere!!
