Let me start by saying I am usually not one to complain or especially take the time to write a bad review, but I was particularly upset with the service and the reaction to the bad service that I received. Three of the adults ordered the exact same thing, grilled chicken strips and sweet potato fries and some pasta for the 2 year old. If you have ever eaten with a 2 year old you know you have a finite window of time in which they will sit in a high chair and behave. It took 40 minutes from when we ordered to be told that they were out of sweet potato fries. Not to mention the disappointment of not having the item that prompted us to come to Mugshots in the first place, but now we have to choose something else we didn’t want and wait longer. Well, about 15 minutes later, (the amount of time it should have taken to get our food in the first place) we got our meal. I have no complaint about the food quality, other than it was not what I wanted. When we got the bill, I noticed that there was an upcharge for sweet potato fries on the ticket which is normal, had we received sweet potato fries. My thought was even if there was an upcharge for my side which I had to choose on the spur of the moment, it should be waived since they did not have the side I wanted and I was not informed this until 40 minutes after I ordered. When I asked about this, the response was that they did not charge me more even though the new sides we choose was more than the sweet potato fries. Well thank you so much for not charging me more for something I did not want to order in the first place. I paid my ticket and asked the hostess to see a manager before I left. She went to get them and returned saying that they were a little too busy to talk to me right now. Really! She said could she help. I told her the problem and she said she would tell him about it. Well I am sure that will do a heck of a lot of good and I hope they understand that I will be a little too busy to ever eat at Mugshots again!

I used to love this place... keep in mind this is not an angry ramble, and that I am sympathetic because I have worked in a kitchen before. The service is fine, but the chefs have started using pre-made burger patties which makes the burger taste only like the bun and toppings. The patty is terrible. As if that wasnt enough of a turn-off to a place that fashions itself as a "burger joint", when I ordered the Gamble, it came with canned sloppy joe sauce instead of the "Homemade chili" the menu boasts of. I am frustrated because this used to be one of the best burger places in Starkville. All of the problems these guys are having is because of laziness in the kitchen. Wake up a little earlier, pre-make seasoned patties yourself, and dont use manwich because it is easier and cheaper than chili! These guys will continue to loose business until they clean up their act. In the meantime if you want a burger, check out Two Brothers, and Bulldog Burgers if you want a chef that takes pride in his work. Ill try Mugshots again when they start making good burgers.

I have always been a huge Mugshots fan! I was so excited to get into town tonight and order a Mombo Combo takeout. I have order this same thing for years, and I have always been given plenty of food for the $11 cost. Huge and plenty of chucks clucks, large heaping of fried pickles and large cheese wedges. Tonight, I was very disappointed. I had 4 very small chucks clucks (size of nuggets at Chick-Fil-A), normal fried pickles and very small cheese wedges. If there is a new cook, he/she should not be on staff. If the portion sizes have changed, the amount should change. My meal was worth $6 maybe, but I spent $11 hoping for my usual. Needless to say, a very long time customer of Starkvilles Mugshots will now go to Tupelo.

This is only the second time Ive ever reviewed a place negatively and the first time for a restaurant. Worst mugshots Ive been to by far. Was not up to mugshots quality or good at all. I always get a pizza buger supreme and sweet potato fries. I usually engulf it, this was the first time I have had to send a plate back for a correction (was unappetizing before AND after it came back) and first time Ive not finished my plate (sweet potato fries were gross)

The terrible service here is legendary. Watch out for the automatic 18% gratuities added to the checks. After a very long wait, our food finally started coming out in spurts. By the time the last plate made it to the table, our burgers and fries were stone cold. I was never offered a refill of my tea, so I had to choke the big, cold bun down dry. When a server is aware that a patron is unhappy with the service, it is unconscionable to force an 18% tip.

Only order takeout and is always good but........ La Terraza is still better and I have not ordered here in a while but I think maybe you guys have changed staff members because Im starting to see bad reviews..... Get it together mugshots. You are one of the best restaurants in Starkville Im hoping you stay that way because it isnt too many good ones in town. Word to the wise read my reviews for any restaurant always truthful.

I went for lunch - a veg. burger and a drink. It took FOREVER to get seated, ordered, and food arrived. I sat there and used my computer while I wait, with people looking skeptically on. I probably wont go again, but the burger was actually ok (they got my order wrong) and the fries were good too. I was certainly full when I left, but I dont want to wait 45 mins for a veg. burger at lunch time again.

Best burger place, hands down. Their burgers are very tasteful and thick (also large); has a nice pure grilled flavor with plenty of amazing juices. Buns have a slight sweet flavor. The fries are to die for. Whats not to love? I cant say much about the rest of the menu besides the comedic descriptions, its just too hard not to get anything else but a burger because they are so delicious.

I wish the food was horrible, the atmosphere sucked, and the food was really expensive, because then I wouldnt want to go there. However, The food is great, the atmosphere is wonderful and the food is decently priced.. However, I havent gone in there ONCE and the service been good. Its upsetting. None of the wait staff ever seems to care about their guests.

The best place in Starkville for a burger. Beer is cheap too. If youre looking for more of a laid back place to be in Starkville at night than here is the place to be to eat, and watch a game. The Mugshot is a challenge, roughly the dimensions of your head. If you can eat it in 12 minutes, its free. Otherwise, its 20 bucks.

Atmosphere was nice, customer service was great, food was decent, and the floors were as sticky as fly paper. Not convinced the hamburgers were made out of high quality ground beef. The bacon and toppings is where the flavor came from.
