Not sure what to think. Walking in it is half bar and half restaurant with some Chinese decorations. No one at the front counter to seat you when the sign says, "please wait to be seated." You end up seating yourself anyway. The waitress was super nice and helpful. Some random guy brought over place mats that are identical to the ones in my home town in Wisconsin (just cheap mass produced Chinese things). There was rock music playing in the bar that overtook the more clam atmosphere on the restaurant side. Food tasted good but not all was made in house. Both the pot stickers and dumplings were the same product (for sure from a box) but the pot stickers were just fried in a pan rather than heated up. Fried rice was really good, shrimp was really good, and the other dish we had was good (some pork Szechuan meal). Friendly wait staff, but disorganized, cheap food fir high price, and weird atmosphere. Will not return.

I just hate this place, Ive been here a couple time now for the buffet and theres never any beef. There just arent many choices and if you arrive at the second half of the lunch buffet they dont even bother to refill anything because people dont even bother to eat here for the buffet. Its like after you finish your first plate and you go back for a second it strikes you that eating more of the same isnt even worth it. The server is nice though, I just hate the overwhelming disappointment of the buffet. Maybe theres other things that are good about it, but every time I go its a total let down and I can understand why the place is always empty during lunch hour.

The staff was very friendly, one of them even introduced himself as the owner so I feel a little bad writing this, but the food tasted like it was all microwaved. The atmosphere was a little too laid back to me, I had to guess where to go to pay. I never received the tea I ordered but at that point I didnt care, I just wanted to leave. Maybe this place was good at one point cause its been there forever, but I think the owner just doesnt care anymore. I will not return :-(

Stumbled upon this place on a cold rainy afternoon by chance, while out conducting business. Quite glad I did. Hands down, the best chinese food I have in the cities. I had the lunch buffet and even though there is not a lot of variety, the quality is outstanding. Would be happy to go back to St. Paul just for this restaurant.

Fried rice was great. It was the combination fried rice. Will defiantly go back for that. But will not be dining in anymore. The mens restroom needs updating and stinks real bad. The place was really empty on a friday night. I gave 3stars cause of the fried rice only. The service was okay. Owner was friendly.

The few times Ive eaten here there have been some obnoxious customers in the bar portion of the restaurant, but I have not let that keep me from the great food. Now I just order my food as takeout. Regardless, give this place a shot and you will not be disappointed, at least as far as the food goes.

Absolutely terrible service. The food was subpar at best, with the crappy service the last straw. Never in my life have I been treated as rudely as I was at Hunans. How it stays open is beyond me, but I can tell you...you arent going to see this type of business in Lowertown or by the X.

Interesting little dive bar at night (all walks of life and live karaoke). the Food was not great, by a long-shot. Ordered lemon chicken which was so over-fried, I could not eat much of it. Owner was friendly and the drinks were average priced. However, would avoid the food.

They had the smallest lunch buffet id ever seen in my life. Shrimp was amazing big they didnt have enough out. When we requested more chicken they only put 4 pieces out. We spent $17.00 and we didnt tip the waitress.

Owner is a total and complete jerk... an asian woman. The husband is at least somewhat human and reasonable. She however, is well, hmmm... how do I put this? Lets just say she is... the perfect "C-word" !!
