Excellent breakfast food. Seriously wonderful, like homemade. This was my first trip here. I got blueberry pancakes, eggs over-hard, and thick cut bacon. My boyfriend got plain pancakes, eggs over-easy, and a side of toast, along with coffee. We also split an order of Three Little Pigs in Blankets. We consider ourselves picky eaters (hes worse than I ;) and we thought every last thing we had here today was absolutely spot-on. I kept waiting for something to not meet my expectations, but everything met or exceeded them! Also - our half-hour wait for a table was actually about four minutes. =) YMMV Neiley was our server, and her service was excellent. Literally the best restaurant service Ive experienced in months.

Barely ordinary. My friend and I ate lunch. He had pancakes, eggs and sausage and I had a rueben sandwich. Unfortunately there were kettle chips. Salty, hard awful kettle chips. They are often an unpleasant surprise with a sandwich. I asked for something else and the waiter acted like I was asking him overhaul my engine so I just said "Ill eat them I guess". I had to go to the bar to get my water glass refilled. No problem filling coffee cups, but water must have been in short supply. The sandwich was OK, but the whole meal was pretty salty. My friend did like his pancakes though. Altogether, the service was poor, the meal was ordinary and the prices were on the high side.

We just left this place and I have to say the 4.5 review is generous. I took my boyfriend and brother here. We asked for a booth and were seated in a table, not a huge deal but kind of irritating. We ordered the Jr meal for my brother which came with 3 pancakes and meat OR one egg. I dont think I should have been charged two dollars for one egg! Then we asked if he could get chocolate chips in his pancakes and they came in a cup on the side. Kind of defeats the purpose of asking for them in the pancakes. Their house fries were undercooked. High prices for mediocre food. All in all Im pretty disappointed with this place and we wont be back.

Only needed to wait about 10 minutes during peak Sunday hours. Pancakes are absolutely amazing. They have something special about them that we couldnt quite put our finger on. Eggs, ham, and Home fries were above average as well. A little above the price point than a Perkins or ihop visit but worth every penny in quality. Great service and friendly people! Edit: came back for a second visit and had the gluten free pancakes. So so good! We also called ahead this time so we didnt need to wait, definitely recommend that route.

Wow, does this place rock! Its my favorite breakfast location. From the fresh squeezed orange juice, real maple syrup, whipped butter, management who obviously "gets it", etc., every thing was spot-on. Service was great as well. Just went to the new location off of highway 7 and 101 in Minnetonka and its beautiful. Ill definitely be back soon and highly recommend The Original Pancake House.

Delicious foods, if not ridiculously oversized portions. The pancakes are delicious. The omelets are amazing but overly salted--definitely something to be ordered for a couple (or three). Usually a wait on weekends but the food is worth the wait. The price is on the high side for breakfast places but the quality far surpasses that of an IHOP or Dennys.

HUGE selection! Every pancake I have tried so far is awesome. Even the stuff that isnt pancakes are still pretty good. If you go on the weekend for breakfast bring a book, people are lined up out the door, and with good reason. I have never been unhappy with the food and its even pretty cheap!

The food is normal. No special flavors or dishes. Its just an average breakfast place. Pancakes taste normal, nothing special. The prices are ok. But not worth it to me. Perkins is better. And maybe the waitress we had was new. But I was thirsty the entire time in the restaurant.

Be aware, if you get a gift card from one of the south metro original pancake houses. They will not accept it at this location. Had showed gift card to server ahead of time before ordering. It only became an issue after the bill came. Then I was told it didnt work there.

Absolutely love this place! Great food, with a large selection. Good bang for your buck. But, make sure to get reservations for the weekends. Very tough to walk-in without waiting too long. It is always busy, which should tell you more than anything I could.

OPH has the most fabulous coffee (served with REAL cream!!!), excellent & friendly service (ALWAYS), the finest quality food (WITHOUT EXCEPTION!!!), Saturday & Sunday mornings folks wait 45 minutes to an hour and it is worth EVERY MINUTE of wait!!

Great pancakes and other breakfast items. Wide menu with all sorts of different kind of toppings and flavors. Chocolate chip pancakes come highly recommended. Side orders of meats (eggs, bacon, etc.) are a little pricey.

I always love coming here. Its a really long wait so make sure to call ahead. The food is spectacular. Best breakfast in the Twin Cities, that Ive tried. There are a lot of choices but the menu is easy to look through.

This is a great place to enjoy a great breakfast. A nice variety of unique breakfast options accompanied with great staff, a comfortable environment. An all time favorite for many years. Everyone knows it as "OPH".

I really like the food here and some of the staff have been there for many, many years. They seem to remember people and thats always nice. I docked one star because its over priced.

Best breakfast around! Plenty of seating for the weekday crowd, but if you want to go on Saturday or Sunday, make sure you call ahead to get on the waiting list.

The food is really good, but its kind of expensive compared to other places that serve breakfast food. On weekends the line can be ridiculously long.

Always good food here. This time, like others, we had to wait to be seated. The portions on everything are generous. Ive never left here hungry!

The place is good. They have some hit or misses sometimes (who doesnt). Make use of their call ahead service. Way on the spendy side.

Teenagers running the front counter. No rhyme or reason to the seating order. Food is good but not worth the irritation of the wait.
