While the food was good, my wife, children and I felt that the server had an attitude and was visibly annoyed when we asked him questions. My daughter asked a question and he rolled his eyes. In addition, he failed to come back to check on us and eventually we had to go find him to get more water and even our bill. It wasnt crowded that night either. Also the Margarita I ordered tasted like it had so much corn syrup in it, I couldnt even drink it. You should have seen his face when I asked him about it. We wont be back.

El Tequila is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Having grown up near Houston, Texas and later spending time in San Antonio we really missed good authentic Mexican food when we move to Owatonna. We have been going to El Tequila since they opened in Faribault and Owatonna 15+ years ago. The food is great, especially the salsa. The service is friendly and quick. The owners recognize our family and now we are introducing our grandkids to El Tequila. We highly recommend El Tequila.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service. We had never heard of this place before, but thought wed take the chance and were glad we did! Food was excellent--authentic, arrived fresh, nice and hot, generous portions, and the server was very pleasant and did an excellent job and was very attentive. The decor was festive. We eat here regularly now! Thanks guys!

Despite my wife and I showing up literally 10min before closing the staff was more than willing to wait on us, prepare our meal and stay open for us to enjoy! We felt bad and ended up asking them to put our meals in carry-out contains so that they could close and go home, but THANK-YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR FAST AND COURTEOUS SERVICE!

As others who have posted, I have had the opportunity to have Mexican food at many restaurants in the U.S and in Mexico. The food at El Tequila is my favorite places to eat. The salsa is the best (they should bottle it), and the Tequila burrito is awesome. The customer service is awesome.

Outstanding, authentic. Its not Don Pablos. If your looking for a Mexican facade go somewhere else. This is the real deal from the people to the entrees and the chips and salsa. Cant be beat this side of El Paso.

I have had the good fortune of having Mexican food in Mexico, Texas, Southern CA and by far El Tequila has some of the best Mexican food. I recommend the Tequila burrito and their salsa. Enjoy.

The chorizo and egg burrito is excellent. Their chips and salsa need work though. Salsa was hot and not like typical mexican salsa. Best mexican rice Ive ever had. Great entrees!
