Ive been here 6-7 times and this is by far the worst Chipotle Ive ever been to - Ive continued going only because of the convenience. On several occasions we have walked around looking for a clean table but couldnt find one - I understand that if theyre busy, but that hasnt been the case. Worst of all, they have been out of something or it hasnt been ready EVERY time Ive been here...theyre scraping the bottoms of tins or simply out of stable ingredients altogether. "Chips wont be ready for 20 minutes" "Were out of steak" "fajita veggies wont be ready for 10 minutes" - EVERY time. I have reported this location to Chipotle regional management in the past (about 2 years ago) but nothing has improved from my view. Today was the last straw and prompted this review. My cousin was in town and wanted Chipotle - she doesnt have one near her in Iowa. We arrived and first, were treated as if we were an inconvenience. Then, they were out of steak (her favorite), and were also out of rice and lettuce! Unbelievable. The portions we got were smaller than other locations too which seems to be a theme (as with cleanliness and being out of things) based on other reviews. As I was checking out (the guy checking us out was very friendly and fast, to be fair) a young woman walked over to ask if there were any more lemons or limes for her water, to which the response was, "were out." I understand any restaurant will be out of things once in awhile, but at this location its every time. This place is horribly managed.

2014-04-09 Unable to find email or manager or GM for this restaurant. leaving review on google. i see another person had this same issue. First, I enjoy chipotle. I live near this place and would like to go here a few times a month instead of making food at home. This is the 3rd time in a row at this Chipotle location where they did not have hard shell tacos. the 1st time it was fine, they were almost done making them so I waited. The 2nd time the person had me wait, half of my time spent waiting was for the person to actually start making the hardshell tacos. lots of talking and socializing goin on behind the counter here. after waiting for the product to be made, I again had to wait for the hand off to the register person to finish her chit chat with another co-worker. This 3rd and final time, the person was out of hard shell tacos, they walked over and started chatting with a co-worker. when 4 more customers arrived they asked if i wanted soft tacos or a burrito. I said no thank you and I walked out. probably will not return. Points: 1. if you are out or running out of something, order or make more. Do not wait until a customer requests the product. 2. If a person is waiting for over 10min, offer them something. 3. if you are going to chat and soacialize at work that is fine. Just be respectfull when a person has been waiting.

Love Chipotles - It is a great restaurant chain with great food, but but in my opinion, this particular location is sub-par with others I frequent (I frequent the one by Lake Calhoun and the one in Edina). The last 3 times I took my son and his wife to this location they were out of hard taco shells. Today we were told "they could make more". The place was not busy at the time we arrived (~10 customers in store with 4 of us in line ~ 5:15 PM). Not well prepared. My son ordered brown rice and black beans. Then when it was my turn, they were out for BOTH. As we ate, I noticed out of 7 tables, only 1 didnt have food on it from previous customers. The wood on the chairs and tables were also noticeably dirty. If this was a one time problem - Oh well we all have our bad days. But in this case, it seems to be a long-term problem. One last comment: The store is designed where the entrance has a double door, but the two main exits are single doors that lead directly outside. So every time someone leaves, you get a blast of cold air (this is being written in December mind you).

This was my first time at the SLP location on Excelsior blvd, and I was far from impressed. To begin with, they had no veggies for the fajita burrito, and not because they were out of stock or swamped with customers. There was no one in line at all how could you not have that item even close to being restocked. I know this sounds small, but on top of that the employees were so busy talking to each other, one of them didnt bother to drain the mild sauce before dumping it on. So now I got a burrito with no veggies, and a soggy tortilla from not draining the tomatoes. The final straw is when going to find a booth, they were absolutely filthy. It appeared as if a food fight took place in there. Over half the tables were open and not one clean. As I stated before, most of this would be understandable if the restaurant was packed, but it was far from it. I dont know what kind of supervision is in place there, but if it is like that next time I will drive out of my way to another location

The quality of service at this location is deplorable. Every time you think it will be better, its not. I dont necessarily blame the employees entirely, as they appear to be working to their ability most of the time. However, this location is understaffed and immensely under trained. If I had any stake in this location, I would call for a management re-org immediately. For instance, there appears to be absolutely zero understanding on how to fulfill pre-orders. Additionally, if you somehow manage to make it through the line line that tends to move slower than the DMV on a Saturday, there is a 50% chance youll need to wait 10-15 minutes for more meat to be prepared, as there seems to be no urgency or common sense to load up the grill to fulfill the next orders. Not raising concern to quantity consistency, as most Chipotle seem have this issue, but this place overall is rage worthy just about every visit.

Just got my lunch.First of all they are under staffed. My food was probably the worst Ive ever had there. The rice..again, was under cooked and flavorless.Where is the cilantro and lime you are supposed to get..no sign of either. I got a smaller amount of rice that was fine because it wasnt cooked. The carnita bowl I ordered was cold..not cool, not luke warm, cold like it just came out of the fridge. It was also dry and half the portion I usually get.I asked for a small an out of med.salsa , I got a full on ladle . She was in such a hurry she wasnt even listening to me. Guac and chips? Sure why not.Chips were stale and the guac was starting to turn black and was way too soft and mushy. Old? The chips for sure were from last night..all in all? Yuck. 13 bucks down the drain. STAY AWAY.

This is a fast casual restaurant. Im a regular here because its fast, and casual, the food is good and the people are nice. There are some people who may decide that running out of an item or falling behind on cleanup is grounds for a 0 star bashing BUT they probably dont work in this business. Nobody is perfect and things never go according to plan. If theyre out of your first choice, try something new! Thank the hard working employees who are there to do a good job and deliver a quality product and provide for themselves and their families. The world is not going to end if they forget to add black beans. Be nice, say thank you, and treat the people like you would like to be treated! #positivity
