I was intrigued with the idea of this place because I liked how many different options there are to customize exactly what you are craving. My husband got a burger, I got a grilled chicken sandwich and we got a kids meal for our 2 year old. For everything it was just under $24 dollars. First off, the burger my husband got looked pretty sad and poorly put together. It was almost like they threw the bare minimum of the items he requested on it and squished it as flat as they could. He said it just tasted like a regular old fast food burger. My chicken sandwich is the only reason im giving 3 stars instead of 2. It was nothing special other then the jalapenos gave it a good spicy kick. The chipotle mayo tasted watery, but over all the sandwich tasted okay. I got the grilled chicken which was bizarre in its own humorous way! It was pounded FLAT! I mean flat as paper and hung very far out the sides of the bun. It looked like a napkin hanging off my bread. I laughed, it tasted fine, it was just the absolute strangest piece of chicken I have ever seen in my life. The bun was nothing special, it wasnt soft but wasnt stale ether. I got sweet potato fries which had good flavor but both my fries and hubbys fries were cold and honestly I felt like you dont get very much. Im not a huge fan of shoestring fries to began with. This particular location seemed clean, but the workers seemed lost in their own little world. Overall.... for the price, quality and quantity of the food I find another local burger place a MUCH better deal and far more delicious (hint: it rhymes with Hive Mys). We gave it a shot, and tho didnt find anything wrong with this location, we just will not be returning to try this franchise again.

The food is fantastic. The rest is not. This location and its employees are very sub par. Absolutely no enthusiasm. Very slow deer in the headlights look from most of them. My last trip (and will be my last) I ordered an extra sweet potato fries and it was missing in the bag. So they had to drop a new one in the oil and I had to wait. Then the manager messed up on her order and took my fries as soon as they were up and told the employee that was working on my order that I was just going to have to wait some more. Now I drove 15 minuets to get here and was carrying out and I had to wait over 20 min for my fries. Not one person apologized for the wait. I even called corporate on a Sunday and left a message. Did they call me? NOPE. Sorry Smashburger you wont be around very long if you keep this up. I would recommend all your employees head over to Chick-Fil-A and learn a few lessons.

We got the menu in the mail, so I went on line and placed an ordered to be ready at 4:15. When I pulled in to pick it up, I found two reserved parking spaces for the prepaid orders right up in front. I went inside and was greeted right away. The place looked great, very clean and boy did it smell great in there. The staff started to put my order together and were very focused on there jobs. We had ordered a little bit of everything, burgers and chicken and different kinds of fries and haystack onions and oh boy was it good, We will be calling more orders into Smashburger in the future. Thanks Smashburgers, it was great, keep up the great effort!

I usually love Smashburger, but this location in Coon Rapids I have been 3 times, and all the times left disappointed with undercooked food and cold fries, small portions also. They need to take their staff to be re-trained at the location in Roseville by Har Mar Mall, where the food is always fanstastic, hot and fresh. I can not recommend this Coon Rapids location and will not return until they address the problems as others have noted here as well. They wont be in business long at this location unless they step up their game.

Not going back to this location. Went to the drive through and placed our order. Then waited at least 10 minutes at the window for our food. This gave us a chance to observe what was going on inside. The first thing I noticed was that 3 of the 5 male employees had very long hair and 2 of them did not have it in a ponytail and no hairnets. One of the men had a very full LONG beard. Not very appetizing There was a lot of just standing around. When we finally got our food the order was wrong and cold. Ewwww.

Ive visited this Smashburger location three times and I must say, it just keeps getting better every time. Fast, friendly service, and the food was great! Yes, its fast food, but it doesnt taste like fast food. The fries are delicious, whether "Smash" or regular, and the burger was tasty as well. My entire family enjoyed the experience. Oh, and the malts! I love malts, but its not easy to find a place that serves malts anymore. Smashburger does! And theyre very good.

I was not impressed at all. I had the bacon cheese burger combo for $9.99 and I got the fries with rosemary or whatever. I get bacon cheese burgers pretty much wherever I go so Ive had them every where. Smash burgers was certainly not of the best. The fries where different but I wont get them again. For $10 you can go anywhere for a burger. We have many better sit down places that you can get to go and have a much better quality burger. Employees were great though!

This was my first time eating at Smash Burger. I was not impressed by how most of the employees were standing around and chatting instead of cleaning tables, picking up napkins off the floor and not going to the bathroom to talk on their cell phone that was ringing while they were working. Almost all of the tables were dirty. The fries were cold but the burger was pleasant to eat. Hopefully, since they just opened, they can get their act together.

The burgers were ok, the fries were cold and the service was terrible. I asked the lady working at the front counter for a to go box, she answered "yea" and I waited at the counter but she didnt hand me anything so I thought shed bring it to the table. Waited another five minutes but she was nowhere in sight so I went back to the front counter and asked another employee for a box which he immediately handed to me. Disappointing first experience.

On Sunday night i was going to order 2 triple doubles and a fries. Then all of a sudden the guy in the lobby told it would be a 30 minute wait on food before taking orders. Then the next day, I walked in and got my order and the guy who was the manager says, i came back and got my food. I know that they need to hire some people too. I like there triple doubles there so delicious when they make it fresh. Thats why Im giving this 3 stars for it.

I was wondering why this location had such a low review, when I have enjoyed other smash burger locations so much… Having said that, I came here tonight and I now see why: for the most part, the staff does not care at all, the place is not kept clean, and the food (that is good at other smash locations) is so lacking here. Basically, if youre ever tempted to come to this location smash burger, just go to five guys instead.
