First off, this place has top notch coffee and baked goods. I have not found a place that has a better selection or taste. While I was ordering my coffee, it was nice to see that the owner was actively baking and bringing fresh baked goods to the front. I had the cream cheese pumpkin donut and a berry crumb bar. I recommend both. Second, the staff was nice and pleasant. No complaints. Third, the environment was comfortable, creatively decorated and fairly quiet. It was an enjoyable change to not have loud music playing in the background like Caribou, Dunn Bros, Starbucks, and Spyhouse. The chairs, tables, and outlet accommodations were fair. My only request would be to turn up the thermostat a little bit. In sum this is in my top 3 coffee shops in all of Minneapolis, definitely dont drive past this place to go to another coffee shop; it is worth a stop.

As much as I enjoy giving money to small, family owned businesses, I think youll get better atmosphere, better food, and better coffee at Caribou - and you wont spend as much. For instance, a small iced 12-oz. latte at Caribou is $3.87. A small iced 10-oz latte at RG is $4.75. Also, note the prices of their baked goods. The markup is at least 200%. A small slice of cake is cheaper at Whole Foods. And WF is insane. I will say that the staff is really friendly, and generally the overall feeling is comfy and pleasant. Its a warm establishment. But their prices dont reflect reality. They only reflect what happens when a small shop in a residential zone has no direct competition.

This place has become a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! Owners Jim and Joanne, and their kids, make all guests feel at home. Its cozy and full of light in the winter, and wide-open in summer, with outdoor seating. They have free wi-fi, great coffee, and homemade baked goods. My family and I love coming here and it has become like our second living room! As a bonus, they are open early and stay open late.

This is a good place to stop for a coffee, but the baked goods are way overpriced for what they are. $1.50 for a little cookie? You can walk a few blocks away and get a huge gourmet cookie for less than that. I appreciate that they are trying to re-design the place, but can it really sustain on coffee sales alone? because I dont know who would spend money on their other offerings.

Would give this place greater than five stars if I could. Local corner coffee shop with top-notch espresso drinks, and delicious pastries. Friendly staff, owners who have gone out of their way to make it clear they view pay living wages etc as important. Did I mention that all else aside, their coffee and lattes beat just about any others in the cities?

Being from the neighborhood, Im so happy with the great selection of homemade baked goods, fabulous and interesting soups (vegetarian too!), locally made cards and gifts and, of course, coffee. I stop by at least five days a week and am always treated in a friendly (non-pandering) manner by people who put a lot of care into everything they do!

This is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. Premium espresso drinks and fresh-baked goods made as you watch from your seat are just a couple of things that make this cozy spot an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Recommended for all. Whether youre looking for a sweet treat or serious espresso, this is your place.

Yes, this place needed a bit of attention, but now its WONDERFUL! The fire in the back by the couch and windows is perfect in the winter. Friendly staff. Well-priced. Home-made baked goods... Mmmmmm. And local artists and crafters sell their products (similar to I Like You). I like this place!

By far one of my favorite coffee shops in Minneapolis! Espresso drinks are first-rate. They hand-make all of their own simple syrups and to create delicious special drinks. Great stop for snacks and lunch - many gluten-free options! The owners, Jim & JoAnn, are so welcoming. Love this place!

Wonderful neighborhood coffee shop. Wide selection or treats and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Staff is really friendly and knows me by name. They really foster a sense of community here. I used to be a barista, and I think they do a nice job on their drinks. A+

My favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities. Closest thing to Aussie-style coffee Ive found in America. I dont live that close but I keep coming back - its that good!

Ive noticed something about restaurants or coffee shops that have built in tips. The people who work there tend to be a bit more unpleasant than other places.

A really comfy place that feels like hanging out in a good friends kitchen/living room. If I went to coffee shops more often, I would go here more often.

A nice little neighborhood coffee shop. Prices are decent and so is the coffee. They have standard coffee shop foods here (muffins, pastries, etc.).

A little pricier than starbucks and caribou, but they make good products and bake everything right there. I definitely recommend

This is a true neighborhood coffee shop. It is as much about the community as it is about caffeine, which is why I love it.
