This café is located in the Thorp building, an extensive maze of great independent art and craft type entrepreneurs and small businesses. The coffee and food is honestly massively overpriced, but you know youre paying for the awesome nooks and crannies the building offers that can really make for perfect spaces for most everything you would want to do at a café. It would be nearly impossible to have a café in such a cool space and not be successful. Interesting groups frequently meet there. The people and employees that you meet there all seem friendly. However, there is a discernible presence that can be very off-putting from time to time, a sort of in-your-business air about the place. When you take a look at the bookcase you might get the impression that this comes from a subtly disguised evangelism. Not good. Otherwise, Id rate it 5 stars!

This place is so BAD!!!! It is so dirty, and gross when you walk in. The staff were not at all friendly or even nice. When I tried to order I had to wait like 6 mins so the girl and guy working could finish what they were talking about. Then when the girl came to take my order she didnt say anything no hi, no can I take your order just stood there and looked at me. Then I get my cappuccino and it sucked, not hot and espresso in my drink taste very watery. Im very sure the tall guy making it had no ideal what hes doing or was trying to hard to flirt with the girl who was working.Please all readers save your money and go elsewhere!!!!!! No I did not order any food because of what I saw and how the place looks, and the menu is look old people food!!!!!

Im only reviewing in response to other negative reviews. Id like to clear up the whole only plastic issue. I have in front of me a GLASS of chai tea and the guy in front of me has a glass bowl. My husband has a mug of coffee. In fact, I see no plastic at all. Also, its not dirty! Its not immaculate, but its not supposed to seem that way. Its eclectic, cozy and full of character AND The art on the walls is done by a local artist. If you want perfection go to Starbucks. I love it here! I come here to just hangout all the time. I have a picture of my GLASS. of chai and the guys GLASS bowl. Oh and its actually open until 10pm:)

The reason for my bad review is that I go to a local coffee shop instead of a starbucks because local places typically dont give everyone disposable cups, plastic ware with a plastic container for food bought and eaten here. Itd be great to see this place not be so wasteful. Its 2013, people base their buying decisions on these things. If I hear it changes, Ill come back.

The owner is an awesome lady and I am glad for all of the motorcycle and non motorcycle related events they put on and participate with. We went for the all you can eat breakfast and I know they had a tough time keeping up with us vultures but they kept at it even if we were basically pulling bacon right off the grill.

I LOVE Diamonds! Ive been going here for years and hope this place stays the way it is forever. Friendly, fun staff, fun regulars, great atmosphere and great coffee! The Thorp Building its housed in is a lot of fun to explore too. Grab a cup of joe and walk around, youll be glad you did! Long live Diamonds!

Outstanding! Large Chi was 4.25. Cheaper then Starbucks. Very friendly. I made a comment about a bowl of chili that went by me. Looked and smelled awesome. The friendly lady came back and little later with a small bowl for me to try. What a surprise!! By the way it tasted great! Will be back.

This place is amazing! I love the staff! So much of their stuff is homemade in the shop, their deli meat is amazing and cut fresh, hummus and salsa is made from a secret recipe, and their doughnuts are delivered fresh every single freaking day. Wow. Did I mention amazing staff? 11/10 would recommend

An historical building converted into a coffee house with good food (sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.), moderate prices and friendly service. Music played at a low enough level making it possible for people to have conversations. They promote local artists and share the building with some of them.

What can I say? I have never had a bad experience here and the staff are always so nice to me. The food is wonderful and the coffee beverages, in my humblest opinion, are much better than that of some of the corporate coffee shops I have encountered. You go Diamonds! Keep up the good work!

The sabich is so delicious, its my new favorite sandwich. The bread pudding is fantastic, as are the churros, and hubby loves the horchata. My only gripe is its small, and if they are busy (like on a Sunday morning) you may have to wait a little. But its worth the wait.

Not a chain. Good, tasty light roast coffee, my favorite, and dark roast too. Take a look at the artwork while youre there. Its always changing. You can also get a muffin, cookie or order some hot food. I just stop by for coffee. Street parking / parking lot.

Ended up at Diamonds because Spyhouse didnt have a single seat. Im SO glad I ended up here because the latte is amazing and theres actually SPACE. Their staff is nice and welcoming. Will come here again if Im in the area.

I ended up here because Spyhouse was full, and it was such a good decision. I will come here now instead of Spyhouse. The ambiance is great, the coffee and food delicious, and there is lots of space to work, talk, etc.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Refillable coffee for 2.25, and iced tea/Arnie Palmers always have free refills. Great place to sit for hours at a time. Food is a tad pricey, but high quality for a cafe of its type.
