I was in Phoenix a month ago and ate at Pizzeria Bianco. Yes, I waited close to 2 hours, around 100 minutes. It was very good. But I had better and most surprising, Bianco had poor sausage. Maybe I need to realize no city has sausage as good as Milwaukee. Not being able to find good sausage outside of my home town has been a the biggest culture shock of my life. I though everyone had good sausage. Now I dont even bother. Went to Punch last week with zero expectation. My friends merely said they liked it. I got the Toscano: sausage, roasted red pepper, cracked red pepper, basil - $8.80. A personal size. Perfect amount of food. Wow. I was really stunned. It was better than Pizzeria Bianco and I dont think I had to spend much time thinking about that. Yes, I did get sausage, this is their most popular pie and I do make exceptions for Midwestern cities on sausage of Milwaukee, Chicago, Omaha and MSP. Trust me, I begrudgingly admitted this was excellent pizza, instantly among the best Ive had. I dont do "best" pizza, I dont even rank them......but I do group them. This is among the very best anywhere and it is must eat pizza if you are in the area. FYI: Ive lived in CT, NJ and have had all of the must eat pizzas, this is right there as a must eat. I love New Haven pizza, Colony in Stamford, white clam at Remos, Joes in NYC, Pizza Town in Jersey, etc....etc....LaCasa in Omaha, Pizza Man in Milwaukee......try this. Punch is in league with those places. Also, Ive always felt MSP had poor overall pizza. In fact the only pizza I could agree was decent was the leaning tower special and that was mostly just because it was unique and got points for trying. Now I had to admit, MSP has a great pizza. It really exposed the truth for me. The fact that HYPE is king in national pizza rating and how media centers of NY can still exert an unhealthy control over what is and is not news. I look back and read the glowing reviews for Pizza Bianco and all of the suckers that put up with 2 hour or more waits and laugh. It is not like there is history there either....there is none. Sometimes people are sheep and only like what others like. They treat a line as automatically a good thing. No critical thinking required. Well, dont waste 2 hours or 4 hours at Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, just fly to MSP and dine at Punch. You will wait 5 min. No lie. There is no wait. and it takes 3 min to cook. Just wow. Everything Pizza Bianco thinks it is, Punch is. Kind of like everything Seattle thinks it is, Vancouver is. Punch knocked out Pizza Bianco, it wasnt a fair fight.

This place is amazing! Years ago I would spend my summers in Europe and fell in love with Neapolitan pizza. I have been searching for so long for an authentic Neapolitan pizza place to no avail... until now! My boyfriend and I are actually on vacation here from Cincinnati, OH and as soon as Punch came up on my Urban Spoon app I told him we had to go because he had to have real Neapolitan pizza! Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the smell, the SMELL, of the wood burning stove. I knew just from that that we were in for a treat! The overall decor and atmosphere were very nice as well, I enjoyed the industrial, yet warm feel of the place. The wood burning stove is also covered in mosaic, which as a glass caster/artist was totally cool to me! The cashier was very friendly and explained a few different menu items to us in a very cheerful manner. We got our drinks and waited about three minutes and our pizzas were up! We took a seat outside and enjoyed every single bite of those pizzas! They were absolutely delicious and my boyfriend is now a believer in Neapolitan pizza! A woman came outside and asked us if we enjoyed our meal and seemed genuinely interested and happy that we had. (We didnt expect this because its sort of a deli style place- you take your order to your own table after its up). We loved this place so much that we may go back tomorrow for one more pizza before hitting the road back to Ohio!

Punch Pizza is quick, fast decent pizza. Thats about it. Its definitely more pricey than the likes of Pieology or Blaze Pizza, where its a set price and you can put unlimited toppings. Punch pizza is like $6 for a cheese pizza and $1 for each additional topping.. That costs too much, especially for someone like me, who likes a bunch of toppings. Another thing I dont like about Punch is that sometimes they burn the bottom of the pizza. Theres nothing wrong with punch pizza, but nothing great. Its close by campus, and if youre craving pizza, theres not many options. Blaze pizza is opening soon though, under WaHu, and Ill likely be going there for pizza. I like the "Chipotle service style" pizza. I like the ability to choose what I want to put in my pizza. Ive only been to Punch a handful of times, but its someplace that I dont mind going if I want pizza, but once Blaze Pizza opens, thats a different story!

Its usually crowded with the University kidos, but punch pizza is rad and if you havent ever had stone fired pizza you gotta try it. I think Punch makes it better than any other places Ive tried (Im looking at you, Blaze Pizza and Pizza Rev). Note: the pizzas are not the size of pizzas you get from Dominos or Pizza Hut. Theyre supposed to be individual, but depending on your appetite and tastes I think getting one large salad and one pizza and splitting those between two people is a great way to go (shoutout to salad for existing).

Amazing pizza--Im a New Yorker, whos found it hard to find good pizza outside of NY, California, and Chicago. This place makes awesome pizza, which is amazing because its out of the oven and done in a few minutes--its literally the opposite of the hour-wait that you get in Chicago, but similar in that the pizza is totally worth it. The single size is enough for two people. The staff were really nice, and I give this place as many thumbs up as possible.

$5 for a base pizza (Margherita- tomato/mozzarella/basil or Napoli- tomato/mozzarella/oregano), and then $1 for each additional topping. I ended up just getting a plain Margherita which was filling and flavorful, although I wish it had a bit more basil. The olive oil was an unexpected touch which I ended up enjoying a lot. Really yummy crust.

Beautiful woodwork throughout this store; from the door handle to the massive slab tables. The wood stove in the center of the open kitchen is also a sight. The pizzas are a delight: a very elite, fancy taste. They often have small spots of char on the pizzas. For some that could be a negative, but I believe the flavor is enhanced overall.

This Punch has a really great deal for students that involves texting a number. Its listed just inside the store and they send at minimum one text a week with things like half off pizza, $1 toppings, and other things that have me taking trips for dinner on a whim. I love it!
