If this is what to expect from wood fired pizzas I may not try them anymore. Crusts consistency was both soggy AND burned on bottom. Both things I find highly undesirable. Plus the cost of these pizzas is far too high. Dinner plate sized in diameter and thin for over 10 bucks on average? Yikes! Too much in my humble opinion. Will say the service staff were decent, ingredients seemed fresh. Interior of the joint wasnt anything special. Overall though not impressed with this chain and if it goes away I shall shed no tears. Some "sophisticates" might poo poo people for poo pooing this neapolitan style... to them I say if you like what I find to be the soft and soggy singed crusts of punch go right back and enjoy them. Its your dollar. But if you like more sustenance to your crusts or at least like them not to be burned.... or at least seem dry.. go else where because these pizzas are an expensive way to experiment what "trendy" people think are passing for authentic "Neapolitan pizza."

I had the Margherita Pizza. Crust was filling, not soggy or raw, sauce and cheese was also good as well but slightly drippy and soggy at times creating a bit of a mess. otherwise really well made, nothing tasted frozen but completely fresh. The Restaurant had an interesting choice of Decor. Though a little odd, it seemed to fit the Mediterranean style the Restaurant was going for which made it stand out from other Restaurant Decor. The Menu was straightforward and simple which quickly lead me to my decision. Atmosphere seemed welcoming and relaxed, Staff was helpful, nice and the area appeared to be clean, organized and maintained. Overall, its a nice Restaurant. Well maintained and the Pizza for the most part made well. Its very different from other Pizza Restaurants as far as how its made but if your willing to try something different then I think this place is pretty good and I personally will return again in the future.

I dont "get" these places. Dry burnt flavorless outside crust; INCREDIBLY soggy, paper thin flat and limp, nearly mushy crust in the center. Little to no sauce. Ingredients seem pretty good and they are somewhat creative. Over-priced, hipster food. I hate this style of TRENDY chain "wood fired" pizza. Soggy, soggy soggy. Small, expensive, flat, limp. A MUCH MUCH better version would be Fat Lorenzos, if you like this style. Want good pizza you HAVE to go closer into town. Lake Harriet Pizza in Minny, EastSide Pizzeria in St.Paul are our current favorites. Cheap AND good. Pizza in MG is pretty rough. Unless you dont care, then there are TONS of option. Id go Frankies or Broadway for the best local. But I dont. LOL!

not understanding these other reviews. being married to a native of Milan, and living in NYC for 10 years, I can say (backed by relatives and friends who are native Italians) the pizza at punch is the absolute best most authentic pizza I have had outside of Italy. I dont know what the "soggy" refers to, these are thin wonderful crisp authentic pizzas. I heard some people complaining in the restaurant, but in all cases it seemed they were unhappy that it wasnt like Pappa Johns, which it certainly is not (someone complained they didnt have buffalo chicken). If you know what actual Italian pizza is, youll love this place. Sad to see all the Dominos patrons calling this "soggy" or "lacking cheese". Please people, please.

People who complain about wet thin crust and minimal saucing arent aware how self contradictory that sounds; and clearly dont know how Neapolitan pizza works. If you go to Punch expecting a Pizza Hut or dominos experience you have your expectations misaligned and your judgment is suspect. Minneapolis should be proud to host a world class VPN pizza joint like this. Theres so little pretension here, the accusations of hipster-dom are garbage opinions made out of ignorance. This is my favorite pizza in the universe for simple pure ingredients combined with fire to make deep, resonant flavors. If you dont like punch, stay home and eat garbage, it will keep the line shorter.

The service was excellent! They were available and willing to help with any questions. I felt it mattered to them that I had a great experience. There were people attending to dining area. As soon as a table opened up they were wiping it down. If we had an empty plate they cleared it off with a smile. I am gluten free and they offer an excellent gluten free crust! The flavor combinations and options are diverse. I also had a half Caesar Salad, the lettuce was crisp with the right amount of dressing. My wife had the same experience when she went there before me. We will be going back for sure!

Pizza was great. Closest to authentic you can get in the US. I see they improved as well. Last time I went in January 2016, bottom of the pizza was soggy, pizza itself was no more authentic than Solos, but pretty good. I gave it 3 stars. Now that I came in December 2016, great improvement. The authentic smell that I remember in Italy is back here. Pizza is really authentic, really delicious, and the portions filled me up nice with no leftovers. Food: 4.5 stars Service: 5 stars Worth It: 3.5 stars Overall: 4.25 stars, rounded down to 4

It has been years since I last entered Punch. The atmosphere had changed to a more fast food feel. None of the employees knew the story once printed at every table. The food while tasting fine, didnt have that old world charm it once did and the employees were not anything that would bring me back. Did I mention it took over 20 mins for my food? Half of it came in about 7-8...the rest in 24...my spouse was nice enough to wait, but her food was cold by that time. I say pass and go somewhere with better service

Burnt on the bottom, soggy and oily on the top. No one in my family liked it. We prefer the crust cooked, not black anywhere. No one liked how oily and wet it was on the top. We took some home and the whole car had a burnt smell. There was only two other customers in the restaurant so it was not about rushing, my guess is this is how it is cooked. The servers were friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. Id go again, but never for the pizza.

Absolutely authentic; since returning from Italy, this is the closest thing Ive found to Italian pizza. If youre looking for Dominos, go to friggin Dominos. If you want massive portions with even bigger calories and no authentic flavor, again, go to friggin Dominos. As a native New Yorker AND an Italian, Punch has the best pizza in the Twin Cities. Annoying to read "soggy" and "burned" as descriptions for this authentic Neopolitan pizza.

Undercooked, soggy pizza!. I was *hoping* this location would actually cook their pizza all the way through (unlike Wayzata and Uptown locations). However, after I got home, the pizza was so soggy from too much oil and so undercooked that I had to eat it with a fork! To top it off, hardly any cheese (and I paid extra for the Buffalo mozzarella). When the pizza is done right, its amazing, but its not worth the risk or money anymore.

Delicious pizza! Reminds me of the pizza I had while I was over in Italy. The add on toppings can get your pizza pretty expensive, but the pizzas are great. Quick service and you can watch your pizza being made. One of my favorite spots for pizza in Maple Grove.
