This summer my wife and I scootered over to Grand Old Days in St. Paul. It had been about 20 years since we had been to the early summer festival and after just a few minutes of walking around we remembered why. Not much to see or do and lots of sweaty and or drunk people to bump into. My latest trip to Green Mill Restaurant in Eden Prairie, MN was a similar experience (minus the sweaty and drunk people). While Green Mills food is fine it is behind the times with todays foodie obsessed culture. I went for the happy hour and tried to order in the strength of the genre, pizza and wings. The personal pizza with 2 toppings (sausage and onions for me, of course) was $6.99 and the traditional wings with Diablo sauce (a sauce I remembered fondly from years past) were $7.99. Both were acceptable but lacked the subtleties of their competition. The pizza had a lot of cheese and would please the normal junior high volleyball team or Sunday brunch crowd, but you would be much happier if you walked across the street to Punch Pizza and got a wood fired margherita pizza for $6.75. The wings were normal as well, but lacked the thinness of sauce and the intensity of flavor that a Buffalo Wild Wings or a Chino Latino would provide. (Chinos happy hour wings are $7, BTW) Also my wings were a little pink/under cooked for my liking making them harder to eat and a little scary (see pic). A manager came over and said they were within range but I was done eating them. (Service was great and always has been in my experience.) So while we will not be back at Grand Old Days for another 20 years, I would go back to Green Mill if someone else suggests it and really wants to go there. Otherwise, there are better choices to be made.

We had pizza and a few drinks at this place last night. Pizza was as usual good and drinks we O.K. Worst part was our servers attitude. Apparently Chelsea was in too hurry to even ask if we wanted anything. Imagine asking your server to get something and she leaves without even completing the order. Then calling her back and saying "Excuse me, we are not done yet" :). It was funny at first but soon we came to know that this was a regular problem. Final touch was given to our experience when the lady brought us the check even before we finished our food or drinks, without even being asked if we wanted to have anything else. We had to finally tell her that we did not expect the check so soon because we wanted to to have a few drinks more. And it was not even 10:00 PM. So, we were told that she could transfer the check to somebody else in case we wanted to stay longer. Of course, we did not want to stay any longer after this. It was a dinner with old college friends who met after more than 10 years. We ended up having a good laugh at this restaurant and Chelsea the server, and decided not to let this bad treatment ruin our get together.

The food tasted great, but the service not so much. The waitress did not check on us very often. When our pizza and wings were delivered we did not have any plates and the server could see that but walked away. We tired of looking at our food so my husband got up and got plates for us. We noticed the same thing happen at another table, my husband got up and got them plates. The other table in our area I noticed went to the bar and got their own drinks and water. It took a long time to get refills on our water and beverages. I remember a time when the server who brought out pizza served a piece to each person before walking away. I hope they can do some training to help have better customer service.

Have been going to Green Mill at this location for almost 20 years. I have always been impressed with the customer service of the management staff here. I have had two minor incidents where something was not ready or whatever and the manager, Eric, has always handled each case with the utmost professionalism and concern for the customer. He is the reason that I continue to go to this specific location anytime the pizza craving hits. As for food, I will always get the deep dish pizza here. Phenomenal!

We came to this location for dinner on a Wednesday evening at 5 PM when it was not busy at all and stood by the host stand for 10 minutes without being helped. There was an older couple in front of us waiting to be helped who had been there for even longer than we had. We stood there clearly waiting to be seated as young staff members walked around slowly avoiding eye contact with us the entire time. After 10+ minutes we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Absolutely ridiculous on a slow week night!

I came up to Minneapolis for the Car Craft Magazine Summer Nationals, and my hotel is out in Eden Prairie. Menu looked decent and the hotel staff said they are good, so I got a calzone...and got it delivered to the hotel. They were not kidding. Baked to perfection, I mean this frickin thing was HUGE for like $12...came with some good marinara and while I can say eating at 10pm was a bad idea, getting their food is not. Well worth it.

The appertizers were good. Would go back and order these again. The main course items were not so special or good. We went as four and ordered 4 seperate dishes and were unsatisfied. Service was great, waitress was nice she even wanted to waive couple of our order because we barely ate it. We paid for the whole thing even if we didnt like it very much. I might do takeouts for the appetizers as I said before.

They removed some of the best food such as the Bacon wrapped jalapenos. Its now a very spendy place considering the type and the quality of the food we get. I question if the make things fancy, raise the price, all while removing the best items off the menu will really work in the long run. It just smells like a short-term increase in profits for the current owner to justify a high sale price.

I wrote a review on here a few months back and decided to order again since its close to my work. Again...must be very hard to follow instructions or food orders. Had to wait awhile for the order to get delivered which is normal, but never got my full meal. Driver said he would deliver one back later...what do you mean later????? Some of the worst customer service I have ever had.

This is one of our go-to places when we want to go out to eat with the kids. The food is good and the service is always great. Dont expect to get an amazing meal here, but it gets the job done. The main reason I give Green Mill 5 stars is because of their Sunday brunch. Their spread is fantastic, and the price is ridiculously cheap. Best brunch in town (at least for the price).

Great food, wish I could say the same about the service. My boyfriend and I shared a fork to eat our deep dish pizza because mine had food stuck to it and our waiter never came around us to even ask how our food was. Yet she checked on the people next to us about 4 times. Oh I had to go to the bar to get my own refills. Lovely. Thanks Ester for the worst service Ive had.
