Last night, I went to the Champ’s in Eden Prairie, MN. This was my first ever visit to a Champ’s and my fiancé and I had chosen to try out Champ’s because they were having live music play out on their patio. We arrived a little after 8:30pm and we were seated on the patio in a quick manner and the band started playing after their break shortly after. Our first waitress came over in a timely fashion and took our drink order. After a quick wait, she brought out the correct drinks to us and then left without taking our order. Our experience quickly went downhill from there. After an extended wait, a new waiter finally came over to help us. We placed our food order with him and in addition to our original pops, my fiancé ordered an alcoholic beverage. I ordered the sirloin with a side salad and waffle fries and my fiancé ordered the chicken and shrimp fajita with sweet potato waffle fries. Again, after a wait, my salad was brought out by a new waitress, possibly just a food runner, but then she quickly left. We had not been given any silverware so I had to wait another five plus minutes before a server brought out my fiancés beverage so that I could ask for some. When our food arrived, again with a totally new waiter brining our food out to us, he asked us if we needed anything else. I asked for some ketchup to go with our fries and he said he would bring some right out. After a few minutes, our original waiter who took our food order checked in with us to make sure everything was going okay. I did not ask for ketchup again as I thought it was being taken care of but we did ask for drink refills since my beverage had not been refilled yet after being empty for quite some time. Our drink refills were eventually brought out, but the ketchup never came. We did not see another waiter or waitress again until long after we had finished our meals. Our waiter who we had ordered our food with checked in with us and my fiancé asked for a box for our leftovers. Again, after a long wait, the waiter brought out a box, however first he brought it to the wrong table. My fiancé already had his card ready to go and handed it to the waiter right then so that we would not have to undergo another long wait for him to go and get out bill and then take our card. He ran the card and brought us our receipt and then left. We boxed our leftovers, finished paying, and then got up to leave. We ran into him as we were leaving and he did tell us to have a good evening. We were going to stop at the front greeter by the door and ask to speak with a manager right there, however there was no one at the door station. The band that was playing was nice and the food was very good, however, I have never had such bad service. A normal dinner takes us 30-45 minutes or so from start to finish. We were there over an hour and a half with how much waiting we had to do. While I liked the food, I’m not sure if I’d be willing to return to a Champ’s after this experience.

Going on a Friday night at dinner time, I wont complain about waiting, but we were told 20-30 minutes. When we went up and asked 35 minutes later, we were told 20-25 more minutes. So we went to the bar to get a drink while we waited (we were buzzed while ordering our first drinks). The bartender had no clue about any mixed drinks I asked about, so only go for beer here. We were finally seated on a table that rocked back and forth, and I asked for waters. I had to ask a second time on our servers third visit to the table. I also asked for no tomato on my burger and to no surprise at this point, the burger had everything on it. The food quality was the only plus, but its about customer service. Management, customer service, and atmosphere were more annoying and uncomfortable than anything else. They need to a different restaurant in this spot.

Ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken, missed the Southern Fried as the tossed in our special hot sauce. Chicken wasnt too bad but I was expecting hot spicy chicken - not dark brown deep-fat fried crunchy chicken with a barely noticeable hint of spice/hot. Same with the jalapeno corn bread - tasted more like day-old plain corn bread, dry and not hot at all. I love spices - so today was a disappointment. The atmosphere was terrible - so loud from talking could barely talk to my date. Suggested on the way out they add closed caption lyrics to the Music channel so at least we could know what they were saying as not a chance of hearing it.

Great food Great service! Everyone at our table of 4 loved the quality of food and friendly server. In my opinion after looking around this place is due for a remodel job. Miss matched bar stools, loose and worn looking high top tables and chairs, and my plate had a big chip on the edge. Ive been coming to this location since day one and its a bummer to see very minimal updates or change over the past 15 years or so, other than TVs and beer selection. Pretty soon your menu prices will no longer match your establishment.

My favorite restaurant in southwest metro. It has by far the best wings, preferably buffalo chicken tenders! I have not met a person who doesnt love them. Also, they have more than 30 beers on tap, tasty waffle fries with a special dipping sauce, different happy hours almost everyday of the week and amazing desserts like the Cookie Express. If you havent tried it, its a giant warm cookie with three scoops of ice-cream topped with whip cream and caramel and chocolate drizzle topped with a cherry!

Great venue and patio! The salad was average. My wine was good, but the server took away both glasses before I finished them. She was super sweet though. My friend had the sangria and really liked it. Watched a band outside and even though it was really warm out, there is a great amount of shade and it was perfect!

Its the place to go for outdoor dining in Eden Prairie. I have been here about a dozen times. I get $10 coupons in the mail so pricing is alright. I have had good food here with decent service. Great patio ambiance with music makes up for unremarkable cuisine.

Good beer prices on local beers on Tuesday/Thursday. Management is horrible. False promises, fake contests, and pulling of happy hour specials on apps....overall this place is steadily declining and I will not support management so they lost my business.

Completely disappointed... Worst service Ive experienced. Had to ask for silverware/beer repeatedly to get them. Food was average at best. Two people, two meals, 6 beers, $110.00 are you kidding me? On 3 dollar beer night no less. Wont be going back.
