HORRIBLE PLACE!! I cant believe ANY reviews of this restaurant could be positive unless they are written by this unethical owner himself! We went for the lunch buffet. It was almost empty which should have been our 1st clue. The buffet looked bat but we decided to try it anyway. Well the food, especially the chicken was so gross and tasted like it had all been fried in VERY OLD oil then left there for days. Even the lo mein was awful! We took about one bite of everything we got and could not stand to eat anymore. I actually started to feel sick. It was like processed food at its worst! So we told the server (which we dont normally complain) that it was really bad and we would like something different. He said well thats just your opinion!" Then we said "well as you can see we only ate a little bit and it was so bad but we are still hungry. He said its a buffet so you have to pay the full $29.00 if you eat 1 bite or not!" he then started yelling at us! I said we are not here to argue but just want to leave. He then told the owner who came over and yelled at us and said "We have been here for 25 years and I dont care about bad reviews!" We ended up paying the full $29.50 and left hungry, sick and upset. My wife was practically in tears and they could see how upset we were by being yelled at and they didnt do anything about it. This place could not care less about their customers, and they dont think bad reviews will impact them. I sure hope this one does...PLEASE do not eat there! Save your money and go across the street to Pei Wei where they cook things in front of you and its fresh with nice staff.

Weve been here less than a handful of times. Decor is nice but we always found the food to be mediocre, nothing to write home about. Wait staff is decent, unfortunately, management attitude toward customer/guest service is poor. I was at their bar one afternoon. I asked for whiskey neat. They brought it watered down. I had to make a call. I was the only customer, so I asked the wait staff to turn down the volume. Less than 5 minutes later, either the owner or manager comes over turn up the volume. I notice the wait staff tell the guy that Im on the phone. The guy nonetheless cranks up the volume for ESPN, proceeds to sit down and watch. I signal the guy, Im on the phone. He tells me, the only customer in the store, to go outside to make my call. Youve got be kidding me. I tell the guy, Im never coming back. He has the gall to tell me "thats your choice." What is wrong with this picture and with this guy?

After looking at other reviews, perhaps we should have ordered off of the menu. Instead we tried the lunch buffet. I think there were maybe six different chinese dishes in addition to the salad bar and appetizers. In addition to the obligatory sweet & sour chicken and chow mein, there were a few chicken with veggie dishes and one beef with potato. Perhaps it was a slow day, but the veggies in each dish looked like they had been sitting a while or were overcooked in the first place. While the food was pretty mediocre, the servers were very friendly and attentive.

Loved, loved, loved the food here! Im from southern California where theres lots of Chinese dining options.... I have also traveled extensively in the Cantonese and Mandarin regions of China and this place outside of Minneapolis really comes close to authentic and FANTASTIC food. We eat here each time we visit relatives in nearby Eden Prairie. Dont miss the Salt & Pepper Squid and the Green Beans in Garlic Sauce! By the way, I cant speak for the lunch buffet which others have been very critical of, but dinner was great.

We love Chinese food in general. Did not have much expectation at this place. We ordered Szechuan chicken and chicken in garlic sauce. My wife stopped after two bites, I barely finished half plate. Servers were friendly and warm interior however food just did not deliver. Only good thing we had was fortune cookies. After we wasted our time and money, we were still hungry and had to get something fast and went to Mcdonalds. Those chicken nuggets never tasted so good after terrible Chinese food.

Havent tried the food, but met by far the rudest bartender Ive ever encountered. He looked at me like I was speaking an alien language when asking if they had any house drinks. I told my friend who offered to pay he should not tip, but he felt obligated to. Our drinks were weak and overpriced anyway. Host and Hostess both did not even say a word to us on our way out. Meanwhile the restaurant was empty.

Ive gone to the Great Mandarin a few times. The servers are always very professional, attentive and friendly. The two biggest drawbacks for me are 1) They only offer a buffet during lunch and 2) the buffet isnt very large. Still, one can find enough delicious items on the buffet to enjoy a filling lunch. This is definitely one of the better Chinese buffets Ive visited in Eden Prairie.

Went for the lunch buffet around 1:30. The food all looked like it had been sitting for hours and was dried out. All of the food was bland and at room temperature. The only thing warm was the soup. When I unwrapped my utensils the fork was covered in something sticky. The waiters gave decent service but the food left a lot to be desired.

Wife and me visited last night before a movie. Food was pathetic. Got Schezwan chicken and Mango chicken.. Both tasted like can of campbell mushroom soup..no flavor what so ever.Absolutely not spicy at all. We ate probably 2 spoons and called it quits! Service was OK. Not great. Will definitely NOT visit again!!

Just left from here and the food was not the best I ordered the chicken fried noodles I took 2 bites and stopped. I also ordered the fried chicken which was probably the best thing I ordered. i ended up paying for the chicken fried noodles full price even after telling the server I didnt like it.

Never went in. Had a birthday party of 8 who wanted Chinese food, but when we saw the Trump hat on the bear in the front entrance we laughed and went elsewhere. Seriously, why have that stupid message to people coming in?

My family and I went here while in the mall and didnt expect this place to be so good. The sesame chicken was amazing. In addition to the great food, the staff was extremely friendly. Tony was the best host!

Delicious food and the entire staff is incredibly friendly. I have been coming here for years and have not found a better Chinese restaurant. My favorite is the sesame chicken.

The food was OK and the staff was friendly Not much of a selection as far as the lunch buffet. Going to keep trying other Chinese Fool restaurants in the area.
